I came to Kindred Wound Care after being referred by Dr. Guinn. He treated me for venous reflux and one stab phelbectomy site would not heal. After the good work by Dr. Sadiq and nurses Brian and Suzanne that wound heal. A secondary wound occurred after I wore shoes that caused a new venous ulcer to open. That wound has been very stubborn but it is slowly improving.

I have been a patient at Kindred Hospital Southwest many times. That's why I keep going back. I always feel confident that I'm in the best of hands I have always been treated with the utmost professionalism and respect from each and everyone. My nurses Amy, Yidah, Sha, and Lila are just a few that provide awesome patient care. Also the staff in wound care is pretty awesome too. Dr. Allen and Dr Shashi are two of the best doctors. They provided me with very clear and thorough explanations of what my care plan would be. The lady with the gray hair(Virginia) made sure that my room was clean and it was a pleasure talking to her. She really knows how to clean. Also, with the ambassador program they have, it's a nice touch because you see them everyday, they spend time talking and making sure everything is going well. If not, they act quickly on it and resolve it the same day. I have had the pleasure of the same ambassador twice (Sandy). The respiratory team took time to explain how the bipap machine works and reassured me that it would be ok. I have claustrophobia and if they had walked away I would have just taken off the mask but they didn't. They stayed there until I felt comfortable.
This is why Kindred SW is my choice of hospitals!

I've been a pulmonary rehab outpatient for the last 3 months at Kindred Fort Worth Southwest. I am very pleased with the one on one attention from Ken, Tanya and the rest of the team. They are a very thoughtful and caring group. Prior to beginning the program, I had pretty much given up on getting better and resolved that this was my last chance. The change has been remarkable. I was a bowler for many years and I had to quit because of my pulmonary condition. Bowling became very difficult for me and I became out of breath when throwing just one ball. I can now tolerate bowling three games with very little difficulty. When I would go grocery shopping, I would have to use the motorized cart every time. I can now use the push cart with ease and with very little shortness of breath. I never thought that I could be at this level of mobility again. They also set me up with a NIOV machine that really helps me when I have a lot of physical activity. Thanks to this pulmonary rehab program, I now have a much better outlook on my future. A big thank you to everyone at Kindred Ft. Worth Southwest!

I would like to give this staff 10 stars for the excellent care that they gave to my husband Jerry Bockman. David Dunford and Rob Richards have done a great job. Rob is the nurse manager and he helped me clean up my husband without being asked. As an RN for many years, I can say that this staff goes above and beyond the norm. David in radiology particularly took a personal interest in ensuring that my husbands care was above par. This is not to diminish the care provided to my husband by all the other team members who are too many to mention. Thank you Dr. Bazir and for everyone that kept me consistently informed of my husbands progress. When he came in, he was almost unresponsive and now he is eating, smiling and conversing. I would not hesitate to recommend Kindred SW to anyone in need of healthcare services.

I was admitted to Kindred Fort Worth Southwest as an inpatient and since released after a two month stay am now being seen at the outpatient wound care. The level of care and service has been outstanding! From the nurses to the techs, physical and occupational therapists the care, empathy and concern are unsurpassed. I would wholly recommend this facility for your acute care needs.

Just thought maybe a story would help others understand why I am giving kindred a five star. My daughter was actually the one who did all the research and decided that I should go to Kindred. And we are happy that we made the decision to come here. So kudos to some key individuals that deserve to be highlighted for the outstanding work that they have done in taken care of me. Dr. Adamo who is my primary care physician at the hospital has done an excellent job in providing a great care plan and just visiting me every day to see how I'm doing. Some people who never really get to be in the spotlight is the housekeeping team. However Virginia who works in housekeeping department was very thorough and keeping my room nice and clean. Kind of felt like I was in a hotel. Thank you for doing such a great job.

Mia who was my night nurse provided excellent care. If you're here make sure you ask for her as I am sure you will be happy as I was. Yidah who was my nurse during the day is another person who deserves a great kudos. Thank you for providing great care as well. One of the most difficult jobs in the hospital is being a tech because they have to help people do things that they just can't do however still maintaining my divinity. Beverly who was my tech did it outstanding job by going above and beyond. She helps me with a lot of daily task that I wasn't able to do. Jeremy who is the tech also deserves to be in the spotlight. I don't think I cant say enough good things about him and it's kind of difficult for me to explain exactly what he did. However the overall hospitality and care that he provided was outstanding.

I don't recall the team member who was in the rehab department but she did an excellent job. Just an overall five-star to that whole entire team. Apologies that I wasn't able to remember your name but kudos to you all. Jennifer who is an intern student who is currently working at kindred is very attentive to my needs. Thank you all.

I've been seeing Dr. Warner now for about 3 years. He was actually the one who amputated my right big toe about 2 years back. However my right foot has healed and looks a lot better. The only negative aspect of it, is that I'm missing a right big toe!. I do miss you big toe wherever you're at and I know your in heaven and one day well meet again.

It's been about three years however I've never done a review for Dr. Warner and the wound care department and decided that today would be a great opportunity to share my experience.

Dr. Warner is a great wound care doctor. He's not one of those wound care doctors that look at you as a dollar sign, however he looks at you at you as a real patient. He spends a lot of time with any particular wound you might have, and he's very thorough about the whole process. I consider him as a gift from above provided to people such as myself. A very caring doctor. If you're one of his patients, I think you would agree with me. His generosity surely rubs off on his staff.

Bryan, Adrianna, Brandy, Tonya, Suzanne and Rob. All great wound care people. Hats off to you all.

I've been attending the Pulmonary Rehab program at Kindred Ft. Worth Southwest since the 6th of September and I think that this program has really helped me a lot. Prior to this, I had many days where it was difficult to breathe and I found myself using my rescue inhaler more often. My pulmonologist Dr. Maldonado recommended this program because I was not doing so well on my breathing tests and he thought that this would really help me. Since attending, my stamina has improved and I've learned to breathe correctly considering my condition. I've learned to cope with my episodes of shortness of breath. Ken and Tanya have been great! They are very helpful, personable and they make exercising enjoyable. I am very impressed with the facility as it is very clean, bright and welcoming. The receptionist Nikki at the front desk is also very friendly and helpful.

Good experience to be taken care of by some great doctors, nurses and techs. The hospital is quite nice and not old at all. They have a outside garden area where we can go just to escape the whole hospital environment. Helps to lift your spirits when your feeling down. I suggest the escape to the garden for those patients that feel they need a breather.

The food is not bad as well and I always got my hot meal just the way I ordered it. The only thing that I wish I really had was a private room. However on the positive note, I had a great roommate so we kept each other company whenever we didn't have any guest. Overall the care has been great and not what I expected from a hospital. I hope I don't have to come back but if I do, I know where to go.

I was at medical Plaza for about five days then later being discharged to my house out in Weatherford. Medical Plaza had placed two stents on my upper chest due to blockage in the arteries. Later getting well I returned home with a service provided by Medical Plaza known as home health. The home health company that was looking after me was Kindred at home. With only one day of service provided by kindred at home, Sunny Williamson who is a RN for kindred suggested that I needed to go to a hospital where they can constantly monitor me because she felt that I was not in the right condition to be at home alone. She was able to detect that something just wasn't right. If she personally didn't suggest that I get admitted into a hospital, currently today I don't know what condition I would be in.

After arriving at Kindred Southwest they had determined I had developed pneumonia in the right lung. When I arrive they assigned doctor Adamo as my care physician. He was the one who had determined I had pneumonia. A Great doctor with a wealth of knowledge. I told one of my nurses that I hope he can be my primary physician once I leave. Thank you to the doctors and the nurses who have taken care of me. Would recommend Kindred including Kindred at Home, home health

The staff always make you feel wanted and not as if you are a burden to them. The staff are all very well trained and its very obvious from when the staff take your blood and even to the basic functions of a nurse. Thank you to the entire pulmonary team for your kindness and care. Thank you Micky, Owen, Alice, Joa and Karen for care and service. They went above and beyond. If I forgot anybody, I'm sorry about that but you are all outstanding.

Being a nurses tech is probably one of the toughest jobs that there is at a hospital. We know that every hospital has a lot of patients to take care of and it's not easy to satisfy every single one of them. However PJ who was one of my tech deserves to be in the spotlight for all that she has done for me. She was there for me when I needed something done and she did a wonderful job at it with no complaints. There have been several others but I can't seem to recall there name, but I think it was Ebony who is the head nurse of the 2nd floor. Im just happy that I get to go home feeling ,I have better than when I came in. God Bless to all of you caretakers.

I was an LVN for 16 years in a nursing home and understand how difficult it can be as a nurse. Especially when your short of staff and working long hard hours. I appreciate the nurses for coming in and taking care of me. Especially when they are ontop of the game. The nurses there do an excellent job in making you feel comfortable and happy, especially when your in a unhappy time. I was very depressed and sad but they have gone above and beyond in their scope of work in helping me feel better about myself. When i was sad they really helped in comforting me. I want the physical therapy and occupational therapy team to give themselves a pat on the back as they tought me how to live and be functional with one leg. Tracy was excellent as she tought me how to hop on one leg while being safe while Carrie tought me how to do daily chores and activities. I am treated like family and i dont think any other place can compare to Kindred.

I think I would have given them a five star if it wasn't for my roommate. But the overall service and care that I did receive deserves a five star. Dr. Lee who is my physican gets his own 5 star for the care that he provided me. They also have an excellent physical therapy program and has some of the nicest and dedicated staff to say the least. I've been to other hospitals before so this allows me to compare one hospital to another. Irene who is one of the therapist deserves great kudos. Will recomend others.

I came to kindred because I had a sore on my left ankle. Currently today it has healed but it's getting much better. The doctor's visit me every day and the nurses have been very good. The food is good in comparison that it is hospital food. I would recommend others to kindred.

My sister was actually at Kindred Southwest before I was here. So she referred me to Kindred because she had a good experience. The care and service that I received has been outstanding. Only had one small mishap without my former nurse but everything got resolved in a timely matter. Another issue that I had was I was on a food restriction because of a renal diet that they had placed me on. However I understand the means for the diet. Lawanda is my sweetheart.. Josey, Mickey, Chris and Deborah get a 10 star from me. I would recommend others to Kindred and recommend that if you have a problem best to get the nurse or supervisor to help out.

Sometimes the best care comes from the people you least expect. The HBO team at Kindred have been fantastic. They have been so nice that it has made my hospital stay somewhat soothing. Brandy and Robert who run their HBO department deserves a round of applause and a 5 star rating. They know exactly what they are doing and have treated me with kindness and respect. Job well done for them. If your looking for a HBO treatment, please make a visit to Kindred and ask for Brandy or Robert.
