Kindred Hospital Tarrant County - Fort Worth Southwest

The people at kindred have been fantastic. The only problem why it's not a five star is the Internet connection is not as fast as what it should be and the movement of healthcare staff around. I would like to see some consistency from the nurses who take care me. The patients will see about 4 to 5 nurses on one shift over a week. I guess also the food can use some improvement. The one concern is they use margarine which is proven unhealthy as opposed to real butter. The better the diet the quicker the healing. Other than that it's been fine. The people have been fantastic. Michealin my tech has been great as she has a cheerful attitude and always upbeat. And all the nurses techs have been terrific! My doctor, Doc Adamo has also been terrific.

My husband came into this facility at Southwest Kindred rehab with a head injury to receive IV antibotics for 6 weeks. The staff made accomidation to stay with him fulltime. The 3rd floor staff was very helpful, clean and profrssional. They even took the time to explain each new medicine and side effect to look for before giving it to him. This made us feel more secure for taking his medicine. They took excellent care of both us us, always and checking on our needs. The food here was good and the price was very reasonable. We would highly recomend this facilty to anyone that needs a rehab hospital.

I was looking at some of the reviews that kindred had and I was amazed that they had a lot of five-star reviews. However I would like to provide a review as well just to share my experience. Kindred Southwest is a great facility and the team here is fantastic. I'm still at the facility running on three weeks now and soon to be discharged. I really appreciate the doctors visiting me regularly on a daily basis as it allows me to get daily updates on my status and my treatment. The food here is good but not the greatest however I had worst food at other places that I have been too. I really like my room is it gives me my own privacy and I don't have a roommate which makes it more comfortable. I also appreciate and want to say thank you to the therapy team they have worked me out more than I get home. Just wanted to say thank you to everyone for looking after me and especially Brook visits me daily just to see how I'm doing.

I have been at kindred Hospital for around one month. The people at Kindred have been so nice to me which are the nurses and the doctors, people in the business office are also nice. I would recommend anyone to come to Kindred who is looking for a place for their family or themselves. I don't want to give any praises to one particular person as everybody who has been taking care of me have been great.

I came to kindred Southwest from Texas health which is down the street. I actually live about two hours away in Dublin Texas. The staff at kindred have been extremely friendly. All the stuff are courtesy and respect full whilr helping me out. Thanks to them I hope to get back to my daily routine. My room is a little bit small as I have to share with another roommate. However I am on the side of the room that has a window looking out towards the outside. It has a great view. Good thing is that I have a roommate who is a very nice person. Makes it very easy for the day to go by. Misty who visits me every day is great. She helps me out with regards to what I need and things that I just need to know. Thank you so much for taking care of me everybody.

It was first time at kindred as I have never been there before. The nurses and doctors have been great in looking after me while there. The physical therapy, occupational therapy have been great as I have learned a lot of things during my time. The food is also good however not the best but it's doable. The night nurses are also good team of people as they checked up on me even while I'm sleeping. Coming in to check my vitals and just to make sure that I'm OK makes me feel very secure. I also had a nurse name Lamis who has been so friendly to me and always checks how I am doing. Thank you for your kindness.The room is a little bit small I wish it was bigger. I definitely would recommend kindred to anybody planning to go to a hospital. I would recommend it to my friends and family.

I found the staff and management at Kindred to be fantastic. But I would like to give Kindred a 4 star as no place is perfect. I am also not perfect as I have found myself to be impatient and want to know what is going on all the time. But what I found out is that we have to be patient as even the doctors have to wait for results. But whole experience hospital has been great. What time would suggest is to have a wider variety of foods. Tina one of my nurses is a great person who has looked after me. Ben is another good person I would like to give praise to. Brook and Brandy who work in the x-ray department are so nice. Its hard to tell them apart but they are two very special people. Thank you Tia, Precious and Dr Faboui for looking after me. My whole experience was good, cant expect the best as its a hospital.

Upon my arrival here at Kindred, things were a little rocky and I can personally say I was very nervous not knowing what was ahead of me. After a couple of days my aniexty settle down and the staff was very warm, welcoming and hosptiable. Walkena in HBO made the experience of going into the Chambers a great one, she knew exactly what to say to make you feel comfortable. I have had the opporuntiy to have Deborah Mack has my nurse and she was very good and thorough at her job, I never had to wait for my meds, she was always on time. Laura at night was also a fantastic nurse, very pleasent at all times. Lamise, Vanessa, and Linda stayed on top of things as they made sure I was comfortable. Crystal at the desk never missed a beat on having my ice and diet lime ready at the desk when she saw me walking towards her way. Dietary always made sure i had just what I needed, and sent my tray early for lunch due to HBO. Kindred Southwest has been truley good to me and met all my needs.

I would like to say that the team at Kindred has been great and caring, because they have accomidated my needs and always seem to know when I need something. Thanks to Misty being such sweetheart as you have been so caring and such a great person to have when your not feeling well. Thanks George for helping me get my personal things situated.

I was at Hugely before I came to Kindred as Hugely sent me there because I needed more rehab. I was admitted with pneumonia. The team at Kindred made it easy to fit right in making it feel somewhat warm. I feel much better now and being discharged today. I wanted to point out two nurses that were really caring and sweet. Callie who was my day nurse took very good care of me during my stay. I think that all nurses should have the same standard as Callie. A blessing in disguise. My night nurse Laura Walden is also another person that should be in the spotlight. She was a special person and very easy to communicate with. The care that she provide was also timely and prompt. Thank you for looking after me.

I thought I got good care. The day nurses took care of what I needed and it still remainded pleasent. A couple of day nurses were outstanding, which inlcuded Kabedi because she seemed to read my mind and knew exactly what I needed even before I asked. The charge nurse Vanessa was so nice. She was also able to unblock my mediport. The night shift nurse Jania was really outstanding and Romeo was a charm. They just seemed to know me and knew what I needed. Josie was another great person at Kindred.



I feel much better now than I did when I came in. Anyone needing good care would be smart to go to Kindred.

I was at Eastland County Hospital and my doctor who is Dr Deluca referred me to Kindred for my pneumonia. From the minute I checked in, the staff their worked right away to get me better. The nurses are excellent and very caring. Their staff and policy at Kindred is great as they fully abide to all the HIPPA laws. The programs that they have at Kindred, has helped me out a lot, such as their physical therapy, occupational therapy and pulmonary program. The food at Kindred was good as I have been to other hospitals and theirs is one of the best. They must have a good chef.



The nurses at Kindred have been very diligent and conscious of my needs and have been very accommodating to me which has made my stay much easier. And if I should get sick again, I would surely come back to Kindred. I would also referr Kindred to anyone that is looking for a good hospital to go to.

We have been to different facilities before we came to Kindred and this place stands out. The staff their make it a great place to be and I am happy that my mom was well taken care of. Some of the people that made Kindred stand out include, Tod who was my mothers nurse. He is outstading as he is always patient with her and very informative when it comes to her health care. Tina who is a CNA at Kindred was very caring, she wasn't even my moms CNA but just came by to visit and see how things are going. Also Rob who works just across the hall ways came in to see how my mom was doing. Make it feel like home and with some helping hand. Mel who was our other nurse also stood out because she really helped us from day one. She did all she could to help my moms recovery.



Thank you to all the staff that have done all you could to help my mom recover as she is much better now. Thank you Tim for referring us to Kindred.

I was at Clebure hospital for about 4 days and one of the staff advised me to go to Kindred. I didn't know about Kindred but had a great experience and wanted to share my thoughts to those that plan to come. I was at Kindred for around 4 week and their team was outstanding. The 3rd floor nurses were wonderful. Some of the people that stood out were Ashley T because she helped me to get some issues resolved. The man at the front desk was really nice, I think his name was John. Another person that was sweet and caring was Jamecca who was my nurse during the night. Thank you for being so sweet! Angie also stood out in her own way as she helped me regarding me health updates and also looked after me during my stay. Thank you Josie for being another great nurse and being there for me. I hope my message gets passed down to those that I mentioned in this review. Also cudos to Eric in the house keeping department for keeping my room so clean. Its like having my mom take care of me while sick.

I wanted to give Kindred a five star because they actually deserve it. The team of nurses are great as they are kind, caring and tentative. The place is also clean and food is also good. I have gained about 6lbs since I was there. All of the nurses stool out and its hard to give1 person more praise than another. However Yidah my nurse was someone that stood out to me. If I needed to come back I would surely come back to Kindred.

Thank you Baylor for advising me to admit to Kindred as they have been very helpful in getting me back to where I need to be. I was at Kindred for about 1 month and a few days. Thank you to the therapy team for working me out. I really had a good workout on the elliptical machine and pushed myself to do more than they expected. I just wanted to prove to myself that I could do it. Thanks for showing me how to properly walk with a walker as its my first time. The room at Kindred was good not to big but can be small if you have a roommate. Good thing that my roommate was a good roommate! Suggestion is their hamburger be a little more rare as thats the way I like it. The housekeeping was great as they kept my room clean also had my own wheel chair that they provided me. Thank you for all you have done Kindred.

It's my second time here and would not go to any other LTAC facility. Took me a little longer to get admitted for the second time as they were fully booked. What makes me come back are some of the staff and they also know me since I been there before. The food there is always good. As you know most people have a bad preception about hospital food but their food is great. Thank you Rebecca my therapist and Elaine for being such a great nurse. As great as I like Kindred, I would rather be at home.

WE HAVE BEEN VERY PLEASED WITH THE PERSONNEL OF KINDRED. MY HUSBAND HAS BEEN UNDER THE CARE HERE SINCE FEB. 1, 2016 DUE TO MAJOR COMPLICATION FROM LUNG PROBLEMS AND STAGE 4 BED SORE CAUSED DURING EXTENDED CARE AT BAYLOR DOWNTOWN. FROM THE NURSES, TO THE CASE WORKERS,TO HOUSE KEEPING AND MANAGEMENT, SPECIALEST AND DIET MGMT. EVERYONE HAS WORKED SO HARD TO HELP WITH HIS DISCOMFORT AND DIFFICULTIES. WE HAVE HAD SO MANY SET BACKS AND CRITICAL COMPLICATIONS DUE TO HIS KIDNEY PROBLEMS AND ALL THE PAIN MANAGEMENT BUT WHEN THINGS SEEMED HOPELESS THERE WAS ALWAYS NUMEROUS PERSONNEL IN EACH FLOOR AND EVERY WHERE I TURNED TO COMFORT AND TAKE THAT EXTRA TIME TO COUNCEL AND ASSURE ME THAT EVERYTHING POSSIBLE WAS BEING ACCOMPLISHED TO PULL HIM THRU AGAIN. I was at Weatherford Regional Hospital before I came to Kindred. It was a complete difference as day and night and no comparison. I was admitted into Kindred for breathing issues because it seems as the prior hospital was not looking for a cause but using medicine to temporarely provide relief however it caused multiple problems. It took Kindred just 1 day to find out the cause of my trembleing and breathing problems.



I would like to say thank you to the entire staff at Kindred for helping me recover. I would surely recommend anyone to come to Kindred and hope your stay will be pleasent as mine was.

I would like to say Thank You to everyone at Kindred for taking care of me. I don't think I can give praise to any particular person as they have all been excellent in looking after my health while at Kindred. I feel much better now than I did before and my wounds on my foot has got a lot better when compared to what it was before. The food here is good and its always fresh, not like the other hospitals I have been to. I have a roommate as we have to share rooms but its ok as we talk to each other all the time. The hospital is also clean and looks new and the entire staff always smiles. The only suggestion is that they have Mexican food as I crave it very often. Thank you to everyone.
