This isn't my first visit but it is my first review. I keep choosing Kindred because I feel safe when I'm there and Dr. Adamo is one of the best doctors that I know. It's always great to know that you're going to be well taken care of while you're there. They have a great group of outstanding nurses and techs that will surely keep you in good health and spirits. Todd who was one of my nurses is an outstanding person at his job; sometimes I don't have to call out to him but he knew exactly when I needed something. Or maybe he was just checking up on me regularly but I really appreciated that. Also thank you for keeping me in good spirits. Glad that I had you looking after me. Also Lawanda who is another nurse that works at the hospital is such the sweetest person. She knows exactly how to treat patients. If there were more nurses like her, I think many hospitals throughout the world would be a great place. Very gentle and delicate on everything she did. Never forceful nor pushy. Thank you for your kindness and care. Also a big thanks to Dorothy for all you've done as well. If I have left anybody out I do apologize as I am not able to remember everybody's name. But do know that you all have done an outstanding job.

I'm writing because of the amazing service that I received during my time at Kindred. I was referred there by a Doctor who works at Huguely. How I ended up at kindred was a surprise on its own. They told me that I had a few places to select from but the only problem was the admitting date was during December which was very close to the Christmas holiday. Some of the hospitals that I selected had advised that they were understaffed because a majority of the nurses were out on holiday. So they referred me to Kindred and said that they are always staffed there including with the holiday coming around. I actually admitted to Kindred on December 24.

When I arrived at the hospital they were very accommodating. I was given my own room on the third floor which was nice but had to share it at the beginning with another roommate before they left. But the staff their have been extremely nice and caring. Something that I expect from any hospital. Not always that you will find nice people to be around. Especially during the holidays when the majority of people would rather be with family instead of working. The good thing about it when they told me about kindred southwest, I knew exactly where it was because are used to help build the houses around the area so I thought that was kind of cool.

But overall the doctors and nurses including the techs have been fantastic and my recovery. I'm so glad that I have the opportunity to get a selection of hospitals to go to but at the end choosing Kindred and making that right choice.

Giving some good kudos to 7 individuals that work at Kindred Southwest who deserve to be recognized. Mikey Conner who was one of my nurses, was outstanding in the care that she provided me. Always efficient and just a sweet person to be around. She also took great care of me. I assume she takes great care of others as well.
Daniel Baker is another great nurse. Hard working and dedicated to his job. Ask for him if your at kindred as you won't be disappointed. John Delago, keep up the good work. If your on the 4th floor during the night. Be sure to request him.

I don't recall Robin lastname but she is one of my favorite techs. Just does a great job. Not an easy job for sure, so I admire their patience and dedication. Annie who works in the dietary is always efficient in my food orders. Sometime I get a little extra. Hector Rangel thank you for providing such a clear plan on my respiratory treatment. Smart and wise he is. Dustin who is my patient advocate, thanks for helping address all my concerns and issues.

I would recommend others of given the chance. Job well done guys.

I was in a pulmonary rehab program in 2014 and that was similar in duration to this program. This time a physician related to UT Southwest prescribed this program for me. They wanted me to start immediately so I begin to research online the location of a pulmonary rehab program. I got in contact with somebody that recommended Kindred Ft. Worth Southwest and they also provided a phone number for the program. I called the number and spoke to Ken and he was able to schedule an appointment for my evaluation. One of the pluses to this program is that I could start immediately and they also scheduled me at a time that was convenient for me and my schedule. Some of this, review is going to be based on comparison to the last program that I attended. While attending this program, they explained how to properly use my medications, how to exercise correctly and also taught me how to use the equipment. They all did a very good job with all of these things. They use a device called the Lung Boost for breathing exercises and this device was affordable enough for me to get one of my own for home use. The therapists also explained the benefit of using a spacer for my inhaler so that the medication is better administered. The handouts that they gave me were also very relevant to my situation. However, the equipment here was not in abundance and they could benefit from more of it. Now the exercises were better explained than in the other program and I did benefit more from these exercises than I did at the other program. Overall I think that this is a better program and I also thought that the weight training here was explained very well to me. Ken, Tanya, Ron and Alfred are all very good at what they do. Another positive is that they were very flexible with scheduling and they were willing to work around my schedule.

Thank you Kindred for providing me with a great pulmonary and physical therapy experience. It wouldn't have been possible without the help of Ron who works for the pulmonary program and Tracy who works as a physical therapist. Ron who is a pulmonary expert has educated me on things that I never knew before. Almost feels like starting class as 101. He has educated me on how to control my breathing and how to control my stress which leads to my breathing issues. He is surely very knowledgeable at what he does and I seen it firsthand. Some of his good attributes is that he is constantly motivating you no matter if you're doing it wrong or right. I think that something that everybody needs is a, good motivator. I'm sure he's a very humble person and it's kind of hard to people like that these days, especially as some therapist think highly of themselves.

Tracy who was my therapist and the physical therapy department is another outstanding individual. she is another person that helps to motivate you to give your best even though you're not always fit for it. I really appreciate your help and all you done in trying to rehabilitate me. Kindred is a place I would surely come back to if I had a choice and a place I would recommend to others. My wife also thinks the same! However don't take my word for it; it's always great to visit them and experience it for yourself.

I had to spend Christmas at Kindred but it's ok, as long as I got the best care possible. Which I did! I really appreciated the kindness and care that I received from all the staff at the hospital. I never met one staff their that was unfriendly or just a bad employee of the hospital. Everyone was terrific and I really mean this from the bottom of my heart.

They have such a wonderful medical team and everyone should know this. My room was on the 4th floor which was my very own room and I got lucky since it was private room. Some of the nurses that I think deserve a good review are Mickey, Lawanda, Rita, Deborah, Emily, Gerianne, Godfrey, and Donna. I actually didn't remember everybody's names so I had to ask George from the business office to find out exactly who was looking after me so I could do this review. But these nurses are some of the best. They were always checking up on me, giving the best care possible. I don't think I could have asked for a better team than what I received at Kindred. Hard to believe but it's true! Also Dr Moran and Dr Chennupati were some of my favorite doctors. I feel much better now than I was during my admission. Able to walk further, think more clearly and most important is my ability to be more independent. I also have to give credit to the Physical therapy team for making this happen. I was actually walking over 10 to 12 times a day up and down the halls on my own.

Romeo and Angela thank you for being the best CNA nurses for me. Was great to have both of you helping me. Romy your my favorite physical therapist and thank you for letting me exercise in my room when I wasn't able to go down to your gym. As I haven't worked for over one year now, I am hoping with my health in a better condition, I'm looking to get more activity and exercise out of myself. Thank you all for your help and everything that you have done to get me where I am today.

I came into the program not knowing much about COPD. My doctor had not given me much instruction about breathing techniques to practice when I was having trouble breathing. While I was in his waiting room one day, I began speaking with one of the other patients and the topic of pulmonary rehab came up. During my appointment I brought it up to my doctor and he highly recommended the pulmonary rehab program at Kindred Fort Worth Southwest. I contacted the staff and then came in for my initial evaluation. Ron, one of the therapists, was very knowledgeable, pleasant and informative. After my evaluation, I was scheduled to start attending classes within the following week and I did not have to wait. The therapists gave me a book about COPD and I began to receive very valuable information about proper breathing techniques and the reasons to take different medications that have been prescribed to me. I learned the difference between fast acting medication and long acting medication. I've also received numerous handouts that I can refer to when I'm at home. I was taught a lot about oxygen as well. The therapists here are very vigilant during our exercises and they monitor our vital signs very closely. They are also very encouraging during our pulmonary rehab sessions. I now know the reasons for my treatment as this was explained to me in great detail. I was also informed of how to listen to my body if I am over exerting myself. This program has been excellent and I no longer have to guess things about my condition. The therapists also gave me their contact information in case I ever have any questions. I have called in with some questions since then and I have received immediate answers to them. The staff is very courteous and personable and they really take a personal interest in everyone. They make everyone feel very valued. I think that anyone that has been diagnosed with COPD should attend the pulmonary rehab program at Kindred Ft. Worth Southwest.

I have never done a review before as I have never had anything to review. Since I'm learning to use my phone I guess this would be a great time to try.

I just wanted to share some insight on my experience at Kindred. I really thought the care and service I received was outstanding because of the nurses that looked after me. Jidah who was just one of my nurses was simply fantastic. She is such a caring person, hard to find these days. The reason i say caring is because she know how to be considerate to patients that are not feeling so well. She really seems to understand the pain that patients are going through and i find this important as a patient myself. Thank you for your kindness and compassion.

PJ, Beverly and Tammy who are techs at Kindred are some really bright people. It's not a easy job to be a tech as I used to be one myself but I really appreciate your kindness and care. Thanks for looking after me. Keep up the good work.

Been to both Kindred Mansfield and Kindred Southwest. Both of the hospitals have a great nurses and doctors working for them. But both facilities I received great healthcare. I guess this is the reason why I came back to Kindred. One of the positive things about the southwest location is that you have a great physical therapy program which I graduated from. All their therapist are very kind and gentle with treating patients such as myself who are older. Also the nurses seem to know exactly what you need sometimes without even asking. I also like the fact that I am visited by my doctor regularly. Help to easy that sense of worry. Thank you to the HBO team who is looking after my leg wound, it's getting much better now than it was before. Job well done to the entire Kindred team. If your not feeling so well or need a good place with trustworthy doctors and nurses, do consider Kindred as one of your choices.

It was a great experience at Kindred. I have to give kudos to the nurses that they have working there. All the nurses have been very helpful in looking after me during my time their. I don't recall their names but I just remember the kindness and warmth. The physical therapy program has been a very good experience. The therapist were very motivating in my rehab. I'm not 100% at this time but I did appreciate them helping me. Thank you Ken for helping me to understand my breathing habits and explaining how to control my breathing. Thank you for all your kindness and your support.

Just to let others know I actually never heard of kindred before. I was referred there by Baylor medical. However the overall service and care that I received has been outstanding. I surely would recommend others if given the chance. A five star for them.

I have been really, really lucky to have a great nursing team looking after me during my time at Kindred. It's not always easy admitting to a hospital that you've never been before and not really knowing what you going to be walking into. As this was my first admission to the hospital I have found the experience to be very pleasing. I haven't met one staff who was disrespectful and uncaring to me during my time their. I guess I might be one of the lucky individuals to have caring people looking after me or it might be a sign of great health care.

As a patient who had pneumonia, we know it's not a great experience. And I really appreciate the nurses, doctors, and the entire team for providing such great care and service. Also a round of applause to the physical therapy team for motivating me in my physical therapy program. It helps a lot especially when you are someone who stays alone and has to be independent once you get discharged. Before I end my story I like to let everybody know that there is a nurse who works during the night by the name of Gloria who has been such a terrific nurse. I understand she travels a long distance to get to work and to look after people such as myself. God bless her for her kindness and are helping hand to others in times of need. Without individual such as yourself the world wouldn't be such a great place.

It's not my first time to Kindred. I keep coming back here because I feel very comfortable with the staff and the team who have looked over my care for the past three times I was admitted. The pulmonary program that they have there is an excellent program for anybody who is suffering from COPD. They have taught me a multiple array of unique breathing techniques and also how to better understand my body and my breathing when I have a breathing issue. I have doctors who visit me on a daily basis which makes me feel quite comfortable to know that someone is looking after me. All the staff from the nursing, pulmonary team and techs have been fantastic. I surely would recommend others to Kindred. The only suggestion I would give to anybody suffering from COPD is to stop smoking

My reason for being at Kindred Hospital Southwest was because of my wounds. I was amazed how quickly they started a treatment for me. The Wound care team works wonders and I can't thank them enough. A couple of staff I remember there names were Josie and Jameela. They were extremely helpful. Wanted to also say the person with the green scrubs that came to my room did a nice job cleaning up after me. I know Kindred southwest will remain my hospital of choice. Everyone is genuine

I've been attending Kindred's pulmonary rehab program for about 4 weeks now and it has been a great experience. With only coming here for such a short period of time, I am now able to do some things hat I could not do before starting here. I am much more energetic and I can now open jars on my own with minimal effort. My stamina has greatly improved and I am up to walking 35 minutes on the treadmill. have also taught me how to perform other daily tasks which I used to have trouble with. I love therapists Ken and Tanya who have helped me to get to this point. I also want to recognize the business office staff who have been very helpful in getting me here. I can't say enough good things about everyone here and it has been a very lovely experience. I would highly recommend this to anyone in need of pulmonary rehab services.

Kindred Southwest !! I would like to say thank you, thank you. The care I have received is unbelievable. The employees treated me with respect and courtesy. The nurses actually listen and explains things in away that I could understand. Dr. Adamo is top notch in my book. He isn't like a lot of the doctors that just come in and walk out. He talks, listens and answers any questions I might have. The rehab department does a great job, I've had Marci many times since I've been here. She's always delightful. The CNA, PJ is one of my favorites. The young lady in dietary that stopped by everyday to see if I was doing ok, thank you. It meant a lot.
I thank you all from the bottom of my heart

Although it is never pleasant to be in the hospital, once again Kindred Hospital Southwest staff has made my stay as enjoyable as any hospital stay could be. My first experience with Kindred SW was in June, 2015 and I've been back several times. I'll just say that every single person I interacted with was diligent, competent, compassionate and extremely dedicated. Being a nurse at one time it's tough to keep that up day after day, year after year.
My gratitude to one of my nurses Yidah, tech PJ, and Virginia who cleaned my room is absolutely awesome. Dr. Sadiq is amazing.
Once again, my excellent care will not be forgotten, I will continue to tell everyone about Kindred

I became knowledgeable of this program from my doctor who offered me this as an option to my pulmonary treatments. After coming in for my evaluation, I was better informed of what this program entailed and I decided that this would be something that would be very beneficial to me. I wanted to at least try it out. After the first couple of visits, I liked it and I enjoyed the people in my group. I also respected my therapists and believed it would benefit me greatly. To date, I have picked up many tips to make my life easier, I'm breathing better and I believe my stamina is much stronger. The pursed lip breathing techniques that I learned have benefitted me greatly. There are just a couple of things that I would like to recommend to improve the program. First of all, I think that there should be more equipment. I also would like to see a maintenance program that I can attend after completing this program. I think Ken and Tanya have been amazing and they are a great asset to the program. They are very caring in what they are trying to teach to help us improve our lifestyle.

I have been an outpatient at Kindred Fort Worth Southwest since July of 2015. My treatment started with hyperbaric therapy and was followed by wound care treatments until present. Due to the nature of my wound, the healing has been slow but very effective. I am very satisfied with the results and I love the staff that has been treating me. I cannot say enough good things about them and they have always treated me with the utmost dignity and respect. I think Dr. Werner is the greatest and he has very good bedside manner. Due to the successful treatment that I have received, I would highly recommend Kindred Fort Worth Southwest to anybody that is in need of wound care services.

Great care at Kindred Hospital Southwest. I know that Kindred places patient care as a top priority. That's why I've been coming here for over 10 years. This time I would like to recognize some of the staff that has put up with me over the years and each one has always made me feel so special, Linda, Debbie, Barbara, and Gloria all charge nurses do a outstanding job. Some nurses Yidah, Jeff, Mel, Todd, Dorcas, Jay are just a few who stand out along with techs, housekeepers, rehab, dietary. When The time comes for my discharge I will miss my Kindred family.
Your awesome !!!
