I came from JPS as they referred me to Kindred, and thank you for that, as I feel much better now than before. I really appreciate all the care that Kindred has provided as they have done a lot for me. Ken in the pulmonary team was great and may God bless him for the care that he has provided me and to the others that he looks after. My God bless each and everyone at Kindred.

I was in three hospitals since February of 2016. The last hospital was Health South which is just around the corner from Kindred. The Health South team transferred me to Kindred for better care than they could give me. I think I kept the Health South team up all night with my coughing. After a Friday night of all night coughing, they finally transfered me. Thank goodness as that was the beginning of my cure. There is just to many people to thank at Kindred, from the pulmonary team, respiratory team, therapy team including the dietary team. The dietary team was great as they have good food.

I would suggest anyone to come to Kindred and now thinking to admit my own husband as he has COPD. Maybe he will live to be 100.

The wound care doctor at Huguley referred us to Kindred. We were admitted for 30 days and being discharging today. The care at Kindred has been excellent.

I like to rate a person and hospital on how they do their job, how fast they do their job, and how good they do their job. It tells me how much knowledge they have in their role. Robert from the HBO was very nice and helpful. He was very knowledgeable and had an answer to all my questions. It's hard to find men like that in todays world. Dr Allen was a great doctor as he helped my wife and looked after her wounds. He was very useful and we were very lucky to have him. The wound care team was also excellent!. Its hard to find hospital like these now days especially since we came all the way from Iowa Park Texas.

Thank you Huguley for referring me to Kindred. I came in with a five bypass open heart surgery and pneumonia. Kindred's team treated me for the pneumonia and I recovered in such a short time. The doctors were constantly checking on me and I felt as if I had the highest level of care while here; from the wound care, physical therapy and pulmonary rehab. The progress was slow from a heart surgury but they contantly motivated me to keep moving forward. I feel that the team at Kindred is really dedicated to their service, care and passionate about their job. Its seems as if it's more of a calling, than a standard pay check to them.

I was at Hendrick Hospital in Abilene for about 6 week with a heart condition. I need a lvad pump (left ventrical assist device) for my heart and was on a drip called Milrinoe. Two of the worst things to have; a heart condition and a medication drip that keeps someone alive. Hendrick Hospital and my mom search state (Texas) wide and couldn't find a place that would admit me becuase I was on this specal drip. We searched over 60+ hospitals and was unseccesful as all the hospitals refused to take me becuase of the Milrinoe drip.

My mom with the faith of God found Kindred on the internet. After talking to the Kindred's staff and looking at all the reviews, they informed my mom that they will be more than happy to take me in. We were shock, yet delighted that out of all the hospitals we called, only 1 place said OK!.

I would like to acknowledge: Lamis, Kara, Danelle, Jackie, Allen, Marcy and Owen. Thank you Dr Allen and Dr Bhargava. Thank you to Viola my case manager.

I was referred by my homehealth care provider that I should be admitted to the Kindred pulmonary rehab program at Kindred Southwest. Didn't;t do to much research but decided to go after considering my health and family as a number 1 factor in getting better. .

Kindred's team has taught me different techniques on how to breath which has helped me to better understand my body and breathing habits. Ronny from the pulmonary team was very helpful and supportive in my recovery. One of the suggestions when you are a patient for their pulmonary programs is to listen to the pulmonary expert as they have a lot of advise on how to better your breathing technique. Ronny was also very informative and he shared great knowledge on COPD and what signs to look for when you think you are having COPD symptoms. Ronny advise that I pace myself and to think about what my mind says I can do, VS what my body can do. Most of this was adjusted by my breathing technique.

Thank you to the pulmonary team.

I was than admitted to Kindred in early March with esophagus and stomach issues. I wasn't sure exactly what was wrong with me, nor did the other facility. After being at Kindred for about 7 to 8 days Dr. was able to determine I had serious stomach infection which infected my esophagus and spread to my lung. They kept me there for 20 days giving me multiple antibiotics. I feel much better today and more like myself. If anyone saw what I looked like before, you would be surprised!

Thank you to Dr and the other doctors for visiting me daily and checking up on how I was progressing. Would like to say, thank you to Callie, Theresa and all the other nurses for looking after me and helping me through the spell of sickness. Thanks, Jeff for kindness in working with me.

Kindred is a great hospital. The doctors and nurses there have helped me in my recovery. Thank you for being there for me.

We live in Waco, Texas and was referred by the case managers at Providence Hospital. We never heard of Kindred before, so we did a google search and found some positive reviews. We were there for a total of 15 days and give Kindred a 5 star. The admission process was simple and fast as the prior hospital submitted all information making it easy to check in. All we had to do was show the Medicare and Blue Cross card and we were set.

I would like to say thank you to all the nurses, doctors, and therapist who looked after my husband and helping him in his recovery. I would like to highlight a few key people that really helped us while there... Josie who performed taks that went above and beyondher normal duties. Thank you Tod and Dorcus who was there for us when we needed them. We have had some really emotional times and both comfortedus through the hardship. Thank you Ben and Barbara for going beyond your assigned dutiesto.

I do have to say that they have some of the nicest nurses.

I’ve been coming to Kindred Southwest outpatient pulmonary program for around two – three months and have seen some improvements. Ken and Tracey have helped me in my breathing techniques and have also helped me learn how to cope with my condition. Ken has taught me how to do some deep breathing cycles when performed standard household chores and when exercising. This has helped me maintain my endurance on a daily basis. Tracy has been magnificent and very proactive as she is constantly motivating me during my visits there. An inspiration she is! One of the greatest things about being at Kindred is they encourage me to do outdoor activity. My last doctor advised that I stay indoors constantly, something that I just couldn’t do! Thank you Kindred and the pulmonary team.

The doctors and nurses at Kindred has helped me drastically. I have improved immensely when compared to the first day of admission. I came in with a venus ulcer open wound on my left calf of my leg from cellulitis. If your not aware of cellulitis its very painful and something that no one should endure. But the doctors and nurses who cared for me from start to finish have helped me through my progress. My open wound is healing and new skin is growing. Something I find amazing! I would like to say thank you to all the nurses, tech and everyone who has helped me in my recovery. Especially the wound care team.

I was referred to Kindred by Hugely as they offered dialysis and long term care. When I first arrived my health wasn't in the best condition. I was struggling with weight loss, fatigue and a wound on my foot. As time passed the hospital facility was able to help me with the condition that I had. I also noticed through time that I was physically and mentally looking and feeling better. The doctors came to visit me everyday and helped me answer all my questions and anything I was unsure of. The wound care also made sure that my foot was healing. I think my foot as healed around 80% as of today. I really don't how dialysis works but after being discharged, I will return as an outpatient but not sure where as of now. Considering the age of the hospital, they have done well in maintaining the facility and doing the proper upkeep. The food was average on certain days but good on other days. Thank you to the nurses and doctors.

Initially, our experience with Kindred SW was HORRENDOUS!! It was a late transfer and the very tired patient was met by a hurried brash nurse, whose sarcastic sense of humor was not well taken. Secondly, due 6 hours after the transfer, it was 21 HOURS before receiving antibiotics, which was the VERY IMPORTANT reason for the hospitalization! Home meds were delayed as well. Other issues as well, too many to mention. After meeting with supervisors of the hospital, the problems were addressed and things did smooth out. And I must say that our nurses (after the first night!) were super nurses! Thank God for nurses! As for the food, it was the worst, and that is no exaggeration! I find it very interesting that ALL reviews for this hospital are 5 star. That is never a true representation of anything. There are certain individual that certainly deserve a 5 and we are eternally grateful for them, but we should never have had the problems that we did. Hopefully they have found ways to improve those issues.

I'd like to thank the physicians, the nurses, the therapists, wound care and last but not least all the staff. For each person went out of their way to accommodate my daughter, Maria.

I would highly recommend this facility to anyone. The entity itself and with every staff department showed sincere care and were very professional on all care.

Great hospital. I came for the outpatient wound are clinic and am being released today. They did an excellent job. Dr sanders and NP Ron are amazing. They treated me like they would treat their own mother. From when you first arrive you are treated my the valley Kevin who is always smiling. John at the front desk is an perfect example of how an employee should be. He has a million things going but always makes me feel that I'm the only one there

If you need help with a wound or a long term hospital come see this place They will take care of you.

I've had many people ask me about my experience at Kindred and the first thing that comes to mind is that they are all so caring and compassionate. There were several that stood out. This one particular nurse Dale was needing to draw some blood and did so without even waking me up. Now that's great. This little tech i believe her name was Debra just as sweet, she insisted on combing my hair everyday. Made me feel really good. So not only do I appreciate the care I received there as a patient my wife does to
