When I was at Harris Methodist my doctor, Dr. Lee was my primary care doctor. He was the one that actually referred me to Kindred because he said they have an outstanding Wound Care Program. And to my surprise he was correct. I believe that I received one of the best cares that I've had in a long time. They have a great wound care team, nurses and CNAs. Everybody has been so helpful in my recovery and are some of the nicest people that you can possibly meet.

During my time at Kindred I have had multiple visits from the wound care team visiting me in my room and looking after my care. My wound has healed about 60% When comparing it to what it was before. It has a lot to do with the hyperbaric chamber as well because I am also in that program. It's been about 11 dives and a little bit more to go. The greatest thing about it is that I will be coming back for the remaining sessions at Kindred but as an outpatient this time.

There are three nurses in the HBO that I have to talk about. Kudos to Brandi, Bryan and Robert! both of these individuals they definitely know how to make you feel right at home. Great personality and very caring. As I am very claustrophobic they let me try out the chamber before getting into it. If it wasn't for them I'm sure that I wouldn't be in the chamber today. Resulting in my wound not healing at all. Also some great kudos to David who is there director of radiology. He's such a funny guy and everybody seems to love him. He definitely knows how to treat others and to make people feel very comfortable in a hospital environment. I can tell you now that being at Kindred doesn't really feel too much like a hospital even though it is. Is very friendly and the environment is nice. I think it has to do with the people they have working there.

I've been coming to Kindred outpatient wound care (Restorix) for around three years now and this time around it's become one of the best treatment I received so far. The nurses this time around has been more knowledgeable in the wound care treatment. Dr Nwabude helps to explain my current situation and future and future treatments that is best for me for my recovery of my wound me too and puts me at Great ease. He's a very honest doctor in regards to my wounds. If the situation is bad he would tell me straight forward without going around the bushes.

Hats off to the entire team. Brandy, Bryan, Catrina and Tamiqua. This is the best group of wound care team that I have had. Very nice and caring. :)

I had great care from the wound care team thank you to Doreen and Shara. My wound I my right leg heeled about 80% from what it was before. Thanks for the great care.
I feel more at ease now.

Jolani my nurse has made my stay comforting. She is very easy to talk to and just knows how to look after me. Would recommend her to any other patients. Great team they have here!

It's been a great experience at Kindred. Something that I wasn't expecting from the very start. The reason why I say that is because Doctor Adamo has kept us very informed regarding the treatment for my mother. Providing us updated information and a care plan to better improve her health. At other hospitals that we have been too, we haven't been able to provide our two cents in regards to her health.

Very appreciative of Dr. Adamo looking after her. Also a word of appreciation to Lawanda for the care that she provided to my mom. A very easy and warm check-in. Even though at times she isn't my mom's nurse show still come into the room to see how we are doing. Crystal who works in the business department has been very helpful and kind. She always has a big smile on her face and says if you need anything feel free to ask, I'll be happy to help. A very warm team at Kindred. Just keep up the great work that you're doing for the people that need your helping.

Dr. Adamo if you're looking for additional patients to look after, Count Me In because I'm there!

Out in Eastland Texas there's not too many hospitals that you can trust since were in the middle of nowhere. So our doctor, Dr Alstat at Brownwoon informed us about Kindred and suggested that I admit my wife there for her UTI infection. But it's been a very warm welcome from the entire nursing and doctors team. We're still at the hospital now and it's been about 2 1/2 weeks but everything has been going great as she has been recovering very well. I'm always here with her as they gave me and her are own room which is very nice and accommodating. We're looking for a speedy recovery and hoping to get back home real soon but the team has been so nice to us. I also informed my family that Kindred has been great and highly recommended. The only thing is that we are about 175 miles from our home and once we get back I hope that things go well and were able to find someone to look after her back in Eastland. Thank you to the entire team.

Corinne who is one of my nurses is very much on top of her game. She is a outstanding nurse who was there for me during my time at Kindred. I have to say that she has been fantastic in her care and overall hospitality. She definitely is a team player and I would recommend anybody to ask for her if you are planning to admit at Kindred. Another great nurse during the night would be Laura Langelley who I wanted to identify because she is a new nurse however is so much conscientious of her work and the patient she looks after. Very tenderhearted and compassionate as well.

Christie Chavez deserves a five star as well because she visits me every day and understands what I'm going through due to her own personal journey in life. I have been to Kindred now for a total of six times and people who work there have made me feel very much at home. With that in mind everybody considers me as family and not as a number. Jamica I just want to say that you are fantastic. You like to light up my room with your fabulous smile. It touches me in more ways than you would ever understand but I think that with this review I hope to share my experience with you.

Vanessa Bowles your fantastic. Always make me feel great even when I'm down. Thank you. Marcus you are another outstanding individual. I know that being a nurse tech is not the easiest job to have. I do have to say that is one of the most difficult jobs in the hospital but you make it look easy. You're so respectful to me and my care. Your positive attitude helps me in many ways. Raymond you were like my third son. You definitely know how to push me in a positive way. Not letting me be dependent on others but me myself motivating myself to do more then what I can possibly do.

Julia Julia Julia I love you as you're so sweet. Always with a great smile on your face. I couldn't you walking into the hospital and seeing you with a frown because of your cheerful all the time.

I've never really thought too much about rehab programs but attending this program has changed my perspective. I began attending the pulmonary rehab program at Kindred Southwest and I am now able to do many more things both at home and during my rehab sessions. I am now able to go for long walks at home when the weather permits. I gradually began to notice improvements such as increasing my duration on a treadmill from four minutes to 30 minutes. Before when I used to be off of my oxygen, I would get very short of breath but I can now come off of my oxygen and I don't really notice it. On Friday, I joined my wife to pick up my granddaughter and to go check on our taxes. I was off of oxygen the entire time and I felt good. Instructors Ken, Tanya, Ron and Marty are all very good and the lung exerciser that they gave me to use at home is something that I use every day twice a day. Those exercises have really helped me. I now have a much easier time reaching my goals on this equipment. They also gave me an exercise band that I have taken home and along with that I'm using 2 and 3 pound weights for my resistance exercises. I am very grateful for my pulmonary doctor who recommended me to this program and I wish I could keep going but my insurance only pays for so much. Thank you Kindred!

A big round of applause for Elma who was my tech during the night shift. She has gone above and beyond In her duties as a tech. She was always there for me every time I push the call light. Never complaining nor whining about my request. She is such a doll. I know the role as a tech is probably one of the most hardest positions at hospital. Because I was one once upon a time. We're talking about in the late 60s when it was much harder than it is today. They also have a great respiratory team as well. When I asked to be put on a BiPAP at 10 they were there right on the dot.

Another big kudos goes to Jennifer who is the tech as well. They got her running around in circles on this floor doing a lot of things. A big praise to her because as you can see she is needed all throughout. The food has been excellent as well as I haven't had any problems with it. I'll tell you exactly how good it is. When I was at another hospital we always like to call their meet the brown mystery meat as we never really knew what we were getting. The only thing that I would really recommend and suggest is to improve on the call light issue. Sometimes it takes longer than expected. I know that everybody's busy but us patients are important to. The good thing is that if I had any problems they were able to resolve it in a timely manner.

Before I began this program, I really didn't see that I would gain so much from it. I began attending the classes and initially I was only able to endure three minutes on the treadmill at 0.7 mph. I usually only use oxygen at night and at that time I needed the oxygen almost immediately after I began walking on the treadmill. This was really depressing for me. I continue to attend the program and I was able to progress greatly. I am now walking a total of 25 minutes continuously without the use of oxygen at 1.4 mph! I also noticed that after working out with weights and the arm exercise or during pulmonary rehab, I am now able to hold a heavy cast iron frying pan with one hand instead of using two hands. I can also carry a heavy bag of dog food from my car into my home without breathing so heavily. Before this, I would have to stop for rest intervals. I have purchased the treadmill for my home in order to continue my exercises there. One thing that this program instilled in me is the value of exercise as I was always a very active person prior to being afflicted with COPD. Therapists Tanya, Ken, Marty and Ron have been wonderful. They are very knowledgeable and they have always had a lot of patience in working with so many different types of patients in this program. They are all extremely caring. I have received a very valuable advice from every one of them and one thing I can say is that I wish this program was longer.

I'm going to give a five star to this nurse who I really think deserves it. Her name is Julia she works during the nightshift. The reason why I give her a five star or if I had the opportunity to give her a six star I would. But she deserves my stars because she is one of the most compassionate nurses that I have ever met. She does everything she possibly can to try to make me feel as comfortable as possible. She sometimes does more than she expected to in trying to make me feel at ease. She also helped to explain some of the medications that I was taking and how it affects me in my recovery. Very smart girl! Julia is definitely somebody that they don't want to lose because I'm very positive it's going to be hard to replace somebody like her.

Let me explain just a little bit more about Julia. Being a patient at the hospital sometimes we require a little bit more time to communicate or just to get situated inside the room. But since I'm a little timid to ask for her help all the time I'm always trying to tell her that there are other patients who need care maybe more than me. But Julia reinforced that if she spends around 15 minutes with me that I would be less likely to push the call light after she left the room. And you know what it's very true! My mother was a nurse and my grandmother was also a nurse so I can definitely identify who is a good nurse.

Jeff, Jeff, Jeff! Another person I cannot forget to name. He is a nother most learned nurses. Very smart indeed. If I could match Jeff up to somebody I remember seeing on TV I would have to say he reminds me of MacGyver. He can make anything happen. He could basically start an IV with a piece of paper and a match. All the nurses know exactly who I'm talking about.

A great hospital and the team there is fantastic. Couldn't expect anything more. I will definitely recommend them to others if I had to. If I did have to go back to any hospital I will remember this place for sure. Just hope that I will not have to come back soon. And a very big thanks to my doctor for being so great and what you do.

I've been to kindred many times before, a total of four times to be precise. The reason why I keep coming is because Dr. Warner who is my primary physician works there in the wound care department. The reason why I like Dr. Warner's because he's the first physician that Has actually prayed with me before I went to surgery. I never had any doctors do that before before and it actually touched my heart. He's a good man and a great doctor. We likes to joke around from time to time. My mom actually made blankets for his two babies. My mom likes to say that me and Dr. Warner have become more friends than just a patient and Dr. relation. Lol. He has been taking care of me for around 4 years now. Thank you for Dr. Warner for looking after me all the time. Coming to kindred for so many times this is the first time that they asked me to do a review. But the care that I got at Kindred has been great. I've never had a bad experience other than some food but a Hilario the kitchen boss takes care of me. Thank you to all the nurses and CNA.

I came to Kindred from Huguely but didn't know too much about kindred. So I was a little worried about where I was going, not knowing what to expect. When I arrived, I found the transition was very smooth and very easy. The nurses have been outstanding in taking care of me. All the nurses have been friendly and kind. It's been a great experience to be at Kindred. All the nurses, Doctors and techs have been so friendly and helpful. Mickey who was one of my nurses on the fourth floor has been extremely sweet and caring. Every time I pushed the call light she would always come and see me and assist wherever I needed it. It's not a easy job to be a nurse as they require a lot of different skills to take care of people. They have to know what the patients needs for a fast recovery and also what medicine they require. A round of applause to all the hard-working nurses. Job well done. Another big thanks goes out to Brandy and Robert who works in the HBO department. They made me feel very comfortable and at ease when going into a chamber for the first time. If you never been in the chamber before it can be quite scary. But they were able to relieve and calm me down. If I had to come back to any hospital, I would choose Kindred.

I used to work in the medical industry before as a lab tech for Plaza medical center. I'm actually retired right now. But being in the medical industry is probably one of the most toughest jobs in the world. Because you have to deal with different people all the time and you just have to have a certain quality about yourself. Some of these qualities or people skills, patience and motivation in helping others.

Those skills that I just mentioned do stand out in a lot of the staff and nurses that are working at Kindred hospital. I actually got to experience this from a patient perspective. Usually I was on the opposite end. Their team made my care and my stay a little bit more pleasing. Your staff is always friendly and nice, I don't recall any time I ever had any issue with any body. Robert from the HBO was very helpful and very easy to talk to you. Also the techs or CNAs there we're all outstanding. Techs are probably the most important people that you need inside hospital as they do a lot of the small work or general workload the nurses and doctors just don't do. A big round of applause for them. Also thank you Theresa for taking care of me. You always had a smile on your face which made me feel really good.

I had a podiatrist treating my for for about 10 years. Throughout that time I saw very little progress even though he told me that I was getting better. I wasn't receiving much as far as treatments go and I was actually informed by some nurses that I may lose my foot if I didn't look for a place that could provide better care. They recommended the wound care center at Kindred Fort Worth Southwest. I called to make an appointment and began to see Dr. Werner. I almost immediately began to receive all kinds of treatments like hyperbaric oxygen therapy, infusion therapy and wound care services. Ive been coming here for about 6 months and have noticed a marked improvement in healing of my foot. The wound care and HBO areas are kept very clean and sanitary and the wound care team consisting of Bryan, Brandy and Robert always does a phenomenal job. They always keep an eye on me and it's not a cliché to say that they really do come together to provide excellent care for their patients. I probably would be entirely healed if I had come to Kindred first.

A well deserved five star to kindred and the nursing team. Everyone has been so kind in every department that I have been with or those who have came to see me. The team in the HBO have been wonderful because I was very apprehensive the first time and they helped to calm me down as I didn't know what to expect. Now I'm very comfortable with going to receive treatment at the HBO department. I know what to expect now as they helped to explain the process. Thanks to Rob and Brandy! The wound care nurses have been really nice when looking after my wounds. They were never forceful or treated my wounds rough. I was a nurse for about 36 years and I know it's not an easy job. I know exactly what they go through when dealing with patients. I admire what they do as we know it's not easy. The last word of thanks goes to Chris who was one of my nurse that helped with my picc line dressing. He was very delicate and percise. Just a big thank you to the entire team and making me feel very comfortable as I had to be there for a lengthy the time.

Thank you Mickey for looking after me during my time at Kindred. I really appreciated all your help and your support when I needed it. You're so kind and sweet and a lot of patients at the hospital needs kindness like yours. Thank you for getting me the food that I needed when I wasn't really enjoying some of the dishes. Also thank you for taking care of my pain when I was there. Big thanks to Jared for being so gentle when changing my dressings. Originally I thought he didn't know how to do it but he did. Thank you kindred for being such a great Hospital. The nurses and techs have been terrific.

Its has been a great journey, a total of 36 classes to be percise. I've learned so much about myself and the human body that I didn't know before, especially how the lungs function. I originally didn't want to go to the program however my doctor advised that I go and see them for evaluation. He said once I'm there, just make a best determination if the program was fit for me. So I took his word for it, and give it a try because I didn't have much to lose. Surprising myself I think the program was an excellent choice that I made in my life.

We know sometimes when we meet people you can always tell that if that person is really dedicated to helping you, or if they are just there working for the money. However I met a young lady by the name of Tanya who is one of the pulmonary experts. She made me feel so comfortable and at ease about myself and the condition that I was suffering from. She was very interested in me and eager to get me back into the condition that it was before I had this respiratory issue. She was very patient and open minded to the things that happened during my life and how I have struggled with my breathing. She was one of the greatest inspirations and motivated me participate in the class. I would have to say it has been an adventure.

During those 36 sessions, each day we were performing various and different activities that worked out each body part however contributing to my breathing recovery. During the exercise they taught me how to work out and breathe properly. Something that I didn't do before! I would have to say that the pulmonary program has made me better understand my body and how to control my breathing using various techniques that they have taught me. I finally graduated from the program but it doesn't stop there! I recently joined 24 hour fitness to keep myself in good shape for myself and family. Please be sure to share my story with them if you read this.
