I LOVE National rental car because just like their funny ADS I get to pick the car I want and no waiting in lines. I'm always treated with respect when I return the car. No hassles. BEST RENTAL CARS and cheaper then Avis & Hertz.

I've traveled and used National almost exclusively over the past 3 years. I have been very pleased with their service. I recommend Emerald Club membership, and selecting your own car from the aisle. It really is the only way to rent a car.

Paid extra online for a Premium SUV and received a Full Sized SUV. I wanted a premium SUV after last year when I got a Premium SUV in Idaho falls because they ran out of full sized SUV's. It was very nice to drive and very comfortable. This trip we were flying into Denver and driving up to Steamboat Springs CO and wanted the same comfort and features that we had last year. So I paid extra online to reserve a premium SUV so that we would have the type of vehicle that we had last year. We ended up getting put into a full size SUV and didn't get refunded the difference or anything, they were like here is what you get. I'm a disabled veteran with a lot of chronic pain, that is the main reason I wanted that extra comfort of the premium SUV. Instead we had a vehicle with cloth seats that had manual back adjustment and a wheel to turn to adjust the lumbar support. The suspension was much stiffer than the premium SUV we had a year earlier and made my back much sorer over the 178 miles each way

Used the Emerald Aisle for selection over Labor Day weekend. The car I wanted was one of the few left. I would definitely use National again. The representatives were very helpful, even at 11 pm!

My booking was for standard suv and when I walk in I was surprised to get 7seater suv. That got all of us together in the whole trip and we have a great time. Service and other aspects where really good ! Would recommend to opt for National.

I originally was booked for a standard vehicle but at the last minute I was told we would have more people in our group and I need a vehicle to carry at least 7 people. I figured I would be out of luck with the holiday weekend. National came through as usual and I was able to get me a big enough vehicle.

I don't understand why other rental agencies haven't figured out the Emerald Aisle concept. No doubt the best rental experiences ever have all been through the National Emerald Aisle. Quick, convenient and very competitive pricing.

Always the fastest way to get out of Denver International (and many other airports) with a car. National has really figured out what people on tight schedules want. The new Virtual Exit system is great. Not yet entirely bug free, but it does speed the process even more.

Three days into our rental, we noticed a large dent in the front bumper. We had rented the car from the back side, been parking at our hotel so that we walked up from the back, so we did not know how long the dent had been there - possibly even from the beginning. We were in Boulder where parking is crazy and many of the cars wear bumper dents. The return agent at National noticed the dent right away and asked if we had been in a fender bender. I said no and that we had just noticed the dent on day 3 of the 5-day rental. He gave us the benefit of the doubt and accepted that our story might be true [which it is/was]. In contrast, the hotel agent at the Doubletree that morning tried to tell me exactly what "I had done," as if she was there or as if she knew - which she did not. She was so overtrained that her answers were robotic - she could explain away any thing I said or asked - without really listening.

Recently rented a Dodge Caravan from National in Denver. Emerald aisle pick-up works great. Many of the cars there had very small trunks so appreciated being able to get the van. Van performed well in RMNP but when we return to Denver on a Sunday we had issues with the motor racing then slowing down. Called assistance and they said to take it to have it towed. This would have totally ruined our day. They then determined that we could take it to the Colorado metro airport and exchange it. We were very close to that airport at the time.The only problem was they did not inform the National person at the airport. Finally they gave us a Toyota Van that was just returned but not clean. We were happy we could continue on with our vacation day and not lose too much time. Only gave it a 4 because it would have been better if we did not have trouble with the vehicle at all and if they would have let the lady know at the Colorado Metro airport that we were coming in to exchange the van.

As an executive member, the selections were functional but no frills vehicles. Retrieval was good. Return was an issue. At National's urging I used the drop-off option. But the Denver national folks didn't check in my vehicle even though I had returned it. I had to call and file an 'exception' event and they had to track down the car. Issue finally got resolved but only through their HQ.

Over one week later national charged my Amex for a toll even though I did not go through any toll areas. I am now disputing this charge.

I had to wait a hour from time that I landed until I was picked up by the bus to take me to the rental cars. Avis, Alamo, Hertz, etc. buses pass as least 3 times. This is pretty poor for Executive status. You had my flight status on Alaska. Otherwise very please with the service of vehicle and the return.

I usually love National, especially the Emerald Club. But the experience in Denver was horrible. The car type I reserved was not there. In fact, there weren't many to choose from that day. When I returned the car I got charged over $100 for an extra 600 miles!!!! We went from the airport to Parker and back. No way for me to prove it and we were alreadylate for the plane....UGH!!!
