amazing service, honest & quick. wouldn't go anywhere else

I called various places and they all gave me outrageous quotes. I was about to give up and just head to my dealer but I decided to call one more place and I'm sure glad I did. I spoke to a gentlemen by the name of Ralph and all I can say is white glove service from start to finish. All the work was done in a timely manner and it was done right, and I saved at least 30% compared to going to the dealer. All I can say is if you need any work done don't waste your time with anyone else, just bring your car down to Alonso Transmission and let them take care of you.

When the automatic transmission in m 1984 pickup truck started jerking the truck back and forth and making terrible loud banging and clanging noises, I nursed it home and did my internet research, and called Alonso Transmission. I talked to Ralph, the manager, who arranged for a free tow, to eliminate any further damage. I visited him at the shop to explain the symptoms and agree on what would be done. The diagnosis was quick, a fair price agreed on, and the work finished, with upgraded parts in a couple of days. Now the transmission works better than ever. There is a free follow-up check after about 10 days to be sure everything is perfect. Ralph is glad to explain everything, with as much detail as you want.

I was devasted when I was told by a mechanic's shop that I was going to need a new transmission that was going to cost more that $1600 (albeit this was from a tire specialty shop) - especially since my car was less than 5 years old and I'd always taken perfect care of it.

But before I committed to the service, a family member told me I should check out Alonso Transmissions and get a second opinion....and thank God I did!

After a quick (and free!) diagnostic check (which I must add the tire shop had charged me $100 for), Ralph gave me the good news - I didn't need a new transmission, only a new valve and other parts, a total of appr. $500 - a savings of over $1000!!!!

I am so thankful to Ralph and Alonso Transmissions...no one should ever get transmission work done at any other kind of shop or dealer!

This shop is a jewel! The shop is immaculate, the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Ralph is an honest man, full of integrity, and someone I would certainly trust with my vehicle. They were referred to me by my mechanic at Westchester Tire Center. They looked at my vehicle and kept it for a couple of days after I had already taken it to another place. They did not charge me for diagnosis. Their price is reasonable for the job and the work is under warranty for one year. This is one of my best experiences I have had with a shop.

I have a 2003 BMW 325Ci and I have problems with the transmission. I took it to the dealership at first and they gave me a crazy quote "$5,000" to fix the transmission. I was like WTF!?! What a ripoff! So I started researching to get a quote from various different shops. I can honestly tell you out of 5 shops, only 1 or 2 would give you a quote to fix the car. Alonso Transmission gave me a very reasonable and honest quote so I went with them because they don't charge for getting your car checked. So I gave them my car and couple days later they told me that they resetted my transmission and it is running fine now. Ralph the manager there is one of the best guys out there. Not only did they not charge me for the service, they have excellent service and saved me $5,000! Look no further!
