THE ABSOLUTE BEST! I came to purple lotus with one of my best friends to get a memorial tattoo for her husband who was killed in the line of duty and Shavon is absolutely amazing! I can' t wait to go and get more ink! Beautiful work- wonderful spirit! I felt like I was home. Don't even look at other shops- this is the only place you need to be! I am going back just as soon as I can! LOVE THIS PLACE!!

Shavon does great work. I went to her to fix a tattoo that Tattoo Trillionaires messed up. It was suppose to be a large tattoo with stars, swirls and butterflies. THE TATTOO ARTISTRY AT TATTOO TRILLIONAIRES IS HORRIBLE. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THAT PLACE.. GO TO SHAVON'S PURPLE LOTUS IF YOU WANT A NICE TATTOO! SHE'S THE BEST IN TOWN! Tattoo Trillionaires needs to be shut down. Instead of a beautiful piece of art I got horrific scarring in my butterflies. Shavon however was able to fix some of the damage and I'll be working with her to fix in a few sittings to fix the damage. Her tattoo shop is clean and peaceful. Its very relaxing and she cares about her customers. She makes you feel welcomed and that she cares about her work more than the money. I have a tattoo that Shavon did on my shoulders of me and my son's zodiac signs and it is absolutely beautiful!

Shavon is so AWESOME!!! I gave her a sketch of what i wanted and she turned it into a work of art!!!! I will only go to her for my tattoos from now on!!!! I will tell EVERYONE i know to go see her.

We traveled down from Greenville, SC, to get my first tattoo. Shavon's Purple Lotus is definitely an upscale body art shop. I couldn't imagine getting a tattoo from anywhere else. Her work is exquisite, and she has such a passion for what she does, making you feel at ease immediately. I have already recommended her to others in Greenville. She is worth the drive regardless where you are coming from.

I followed the advice of a co-worker who said " she would nt go anywhere else but purple lotus".It was great advice Shavon did a great job and with her suggestion it came out better then I ever expected.Her artistic advice on how to shade it gave it a much better appearence.She is a super friendly and pleasant person to do business with.Any future work will definately be done at her hand.

The Purple Lotus is the best place to get a tattoo!! I just got my first tattoo yesterday and I absolutely love it! The atmosphere was very comfortable and Shavon did a beautiful job on my tattoo. She gave my tattoo meaning and I think that's what I love them most, and of course its just beautiful! Everyone needs to get there tattoos done here!!

Shovon did an exceptionnal job fixing a tattoo that was done at another establishment. What makes her unique is her ability to custom design a piece that fits you and is unique to only you. Shavon and her staff actually take the time to get to know you and make you feel like you are family. The atmosphere is so peaceful and only adds to the experience. All I can say is that I was blown away at how beautiful the piece was and I cant wait to go back!

I had a tattoo from 30 years ago that had turned into an unattractive blob on my outer ankle. Shavon not only added an absolutely beautiful new tattoo, she also did a wonderful job making the older tattoo look fresh and a part of the newer one. I have been pleased with my experience from start to finish. The atmosphere is fun and friendly; the decor is really interesting and fits perfectly; most of all, the people who work there are great, making you feel like an old friend coming for a visit. We joked about body art becoming addictive, and true to that thought, I am already thinking about another tattoo. I also have a friend I am going to encourage to go see Shavon when she is ready to have her tattoo redone! I would certainly reccommend Shavon's Purple Lotus Body Art to anyone interested in getting body art!

I am recommending every person I know that's interested in getting a tattoo to come here. The atmosphere is perfect, and everyone is insanely friendly and nice. Two of my friends and I got "Don't Panic" and a small whale on our arms, and they look fantastic. the lines are very, very clean and it only took a few minutes.

I recently went to Shavon for my first tattoo. She, her family and co-workers, and even her customers made me feel comfortable. She did an awesome job on the tattoo. And, because I had a time limit due to a traveling commitment, she worked me into her schedule. I plan to go back to her for my next tattoo.

I have been looking for a local shop to use,but have not found one I have really heard many good things about. I have gotten all of my other work done in Charlotte, and was honestly scared to use any of the local shops. A friend of mine had gotten work done by Shavon, and was saying nothing but good things about her work,and her shop. I decided to give it a shot, and I'm very glad I did! She does top quality work, and is commited to giving you want you want. Needless to say, I won't be driving to Charlotte again!! I would recommend her work to anybody looking to get quality work done. Everyone in the shop is very friendly too...it's a win win!!

I went to the Purple Lotus the day after Thanksgiving and Shavon tattooed stars on my foot that she had designed. The facility was so comfortable and was definitely a spa-like experience which was much better than the other tattoo studios I have gone to. Shavon is an incredible artist and has a great sense of humor so it made the experience that much better. The colors on the tattoo are so bright and the quality is exceptional. Thank you Shavon!!!

Shavon is an awesome artist. She made me feel comfortable. I love my tattoo and its not even finished yet. I would recommend her to everyone. She is original and great at what she does. I will never go anywhere else to get a tattoo ever again! I am at this very moment telling people about her and trying to get her more business because she deserves it!

I absolutely loved my experience at Shavon's Purple Lotus. I'm from Illinois and was only in Columbia for a short time and noticed the abundance of awesome reviews for this particular place. The tattoo I got there is truly beautiful it's now a week later and after following the aftercare instructions it looks better then I could have imagined. None of the color faded throughout the healing process and all of the details are done perfectly. The environment was wonderful and unique..nothing like the typical grunge look of a majority of tattoo shops. Also, extremely clean! Although Illinois isn't the closest the Columbia if I ever get another tattoo I will definitely be taking the trip down- it's so worth it!

I went to Shavon's Purple Lotus to get a half-sleeve done. After my father passed away about a year ago I wanted to immortalize his memory on my body. I had yet to get any work done in Columbia so I was looking for the right place. Shavon was the first on my list because I had saw an article in USC's newspaper about her and how good she was. Turns out I made the right choice. I went in with some ideas as to what I wanted and Shavon took them and ran with it. Her and her husband helped design it off of my ideas and it turned out to be nothing less than perfect. Her skill and attention to detail is phenomenal! Six months later it was finished. All the while I was getting work done I became good friends with Shavon and her crew. I love those guys. They make you feel welcome there. If you treat them with respect you'll receive the same. Everyone involved there is awesome. I think Shavon would go crazy without Rich and Becca there. I believe the one flaw is their scheduling, but it's understandable. Shavon's unbelievably good, so of course she's going to be busy. Nonetheless, I would recommend this place to anyone whether they are first-timers or vets. The Purple Lotus is the best, hands down!

I went to see Shavon to have a previous tattoo touched up and added on to. She turned an old faded simple tattoo into a work of art! I have quite a few other tattoos and so far Shavon is my favorite artist without a doubt. I loved the experience and got to make friends with Quaker the parrot! I will definitely be going back and referring all my friends there!

My daughter wanted her first tattoo for her 18th birthday. I was referred by a co-worker who had her first work done by Shavon. I contacted Shavon by phone and we had a wonderful conversation. I knew immediately that I would trust her doing work on my daughter. I sent her a picture of the elephant my daughter wanted and got an appointment set up. The day of the appointment arrived and it was a family affair. My daughter, her boyfriend my self and her grandparents all went. When we arrived we immediately were welcomed into a family friendly environment. Shavon has her studio beautifully decorated it is warm and welcoming, no pictures hanging of tattoos you can choose from because all of her work is original to each individual person! Shavon allowed all of us to come back and watch. She explained the entire process to my daughter and made her feel comfortable. Throughout the entire experience Shavon talked to all of us and got to know us and showed a genuine interest in our family and life!! My daughters tattoo exceeded what she expected and is adorable!! Shavon made us feel like family and gave us all big hugs when we left!! The experience was so wonderful that my mother has since returned and gotten her first tattoo. The love and care that Shavon showed while working on my moms tattoo was wonderful!! Cant wait to see her again for the check up on moms work!! We will be bringing that cake with us!! I am still deciding on what I want to have done and am so excited for Shavon to do my work!! Everyone that has seen my daughters and my moms art work loves it!! On her web page it says a place you can bring your grandma to get a tattoo is so very true!! We did!! If you want your work done by the best have Shavon do you your work. Everyone there is great!!

I looked around on the interwebs to find a tattoo place that I would feel comfortable in for my first tattoo, and I chose Purple Lotus, cause from the site, it seemed pretty welcoming and warming and the reviews looked pretty good too, so basically I chose this place... Yet even though I chose this place, I was still anxious, and I'm a very shy sensitive person and being shy and anxious don't really mix well, so basically I just didn't know what to expect, if it was going to be an uncomfortable experience or what and I was hella nervous and what not blah blah blah yaydayayda



anyways to the point...she's really awesome, pretty much,even though I was still a little nervous about pretty much everything, she makes you feel right at home and when I finally saw her, her personality basically witch slapped me in the face, I literally didn't know how to react or what to think anymore, cause I was expecting something totally different. She has one of the most lovely personalities and is very nice and welcoming the whole atmosphere is pretty cool and has a nice vibe to it, and it is truly a family type atmosphere.



I love the artwork that is on me, it's beautiful, and I'm glad I chose this for my first tattoo experience

Shavon and her staff at the Purple Lotus set a very calm and welcoming atmosphere. The serenity and peace felt when you first walk in, helped to ease any anxiety I may have had about my first time, not only as a witness to a tattoo being done, but also in receiving one myself.
