Shavon's Purple Lotus Body Art

Shavon is probably the best decision I've ever made. Her work on her website just doesn't do her work justice!! She is a master at tattooing flowers--- I just wish I had gone to her first instead of having her fix my mediocre tattoo. I don't mind spending hours with her at a time, either; she makes the process enjoyable with her humor and conversation. The place is gorgeous and unlike any tattoo parlor I've ever seen! Also, the floor is hand scrubbed... not kidding. I've seen it happen. My next tattoo will also be by Shavon!

Everyone at The Purple Lotus, especially Shavon made my entire family feel welcome, at home and at ease with the process of selecting and receiveing my tattoo. Anyone that can apply a gorgeous tattoo while holding a conversation with a very inquisative 3 year old is a true artist! We will definitely go back! Great place!

I got a tattoo to help raise Epilepsy Awareness and support my son. He is 19 months old and suffers from a very rare form of Epilepsy called Infantile Spasms. Shavon was wonderful to me and the design she came up with was MAGICAL. It captures the essence of pure elegance and the emotion that I fell all at once. I have several tattoos, but have never had an experience of this caliber getting one. She listened to our story, asked questions and made me feel like part of the family!!!! I had an old tattoo that was not exactly what I had wanted...Shavon fixed it & created something beautiful. Since she has covered an old tat & helped me design a new one. She is the only artist I will let ink me ever again.

Shavon is the best! Great atmosphere and she did an awesome job on my newest tattoo. I was hesitant at first because I was told at two other places that I was not able to have my design done in the way I wanted without having to increase the size of the font and most definitly not be able to have it in any other color but black. Shavon exceded my expectations and I was able to have exactly what I was looking to get. She will be my artist on any furture work I have done.

Finding Shavon and the Purple Lotus staff has been an absolute joy! My fiance had an old piece of ink fixed that he had since childhood, then I got my first piece on my back about 2 weeks ago. Shavon worked with me to make it something that expressed who I was and what I was wanting to convey. I am so thankful for this wonderful woman... We both love our tattoos... many thanks!

My experience at the Purple Lotus was wonderful and Shavon is amazing. I am extremely pleased with my tattoo! It is beautiful and I almost cried when I saw it :). I had a terrible piece of twenty year old art on my right shoulder that other tatoo artists told me would be limited to just a few options, and I didn't like any of their suggestions. Shavon sat me down and said she could design anything I wanted. I now know the difference. Shavon is a talented artist, who just happens to use skin as her canvas. You can get a tatoo from alot of places in town, if you like driving a 1980 Honda. Want a Ferrari? Go see Shavon.

My husband and I both had artwork by Shavon. She did a fantastic job on both!! My husbands first tat and she and her husband made it so relaxing. Great people! Great art! Would not go anywhere else and would definitely recommend her to everyone.

Oh, where do I begin? Is there a word limit here? My boyfriend and I were in Columbia and, honestly, we picked Shavon's shop off the internet because they were open until 10:00 (it was 7:45ish when we were looking) and because they boasted that they are the kind of place you can take your grandma to get tattooed. We showed up at Shavon's right at 8:00 and walked into what looked like a massage parlor to me. I was a little taken back by that and was not too upset when we were told that they actually close at 8:00. So, we were on our way to the truck and would have definitely looked up another local parlor when Shavon came outside and asked us what we wanted. At that moment, we had no idea what we were in for. We showed her our picture of what we wanted and from that moment on we had the most amazing, hilarious tattoo experience of our lives. I told her that I wanted my tattoo black and she looked me in the eyes and said NO. I will never have another black tattoo! She suggested the prettiest colors I never would have imagined on my own and I absolutely love it! This was my 4th and my boyfriend's 11th tattoos. Shavon gave me the tattoo experience that everyone should get but do not get at the run of the mill tattoo parlors. I do not live in Columbia but will definitely make the trip to see Shavon and will recommend her to all of my friends seeking body art as well, and it doesn't hurt that Shavon will give members (everyone's a member once they get work done there) $300 worth of ink for every three referrals you send her. Shavon is truly a one of a kind, amazing person and artist and I look forward to my next work of art from her!

AMAZING WORK!!!! I got a bad tattoo from somewhere else I thought was beyond redemption but Shavon has been turning it into something beautiful I can be proud to show off! It's not done yet but already it looks so so much better than before. She is very caring and passionate about what she does and has a lot of experience.
