Very good. I've been dealing with jaw locking and clacking issues for four years and have tried meeting with dentist and orthodontists but never got any luck getting rid of my symptoms. Referred by my grandma who had the same people, I went to Dr. Urbanek and got his splint made for me and my symptoms went away almost immediately and after a little over two months I don't have any problems with my tmj.

I had TMJ problems after taking a muscle relaxant for another health problem. I told my dentist about my headaches and fullness in my ears. He immediately sent me to see Dr. Urbanek. Dr. Urbanek fit me with a splint which corrected my symptoms within a few months.

I am very thankful to have found Dr. Urbanek and his device for dealing with TMJ issues. My main problem with TMJ was the constant feeling that my jaw was going to lock, which it did several times. I also experienced ear pain and numbness. After wearing the device for just a few weeks, my jaw felt much better. I am now only wearing it a night. The "locking fear" is gone. Dr. Urbanek has been great and his staff is so friendly and professional!

My experience with Dr. Urbanek has been nothing short of fantastic. From being able to see me on short notice to being able to quickly diagnose and begin treatment of my symptoms, I couldn't be happier with my experience. I'm excited to continue on without jaw pain.

My experience with Dr. Urbanek and his staff have been awesome. I had tinnitus for 2 years prior to receiving the splint and that was a LONG two years. I was initially seen by 4 different doctors at Vanderbilt Hospital, including a Tinnitus Specialist who claimed that the cause of my discomfort was from loud noise exposure after I told her it wasn't. I also saw an Ear Nose and Throat doctor who was the most candid and stated that he didn't really know how to treat me and suggested that I seek a holistic approach.



Going the holistic route helped more than traditional western medicine but the relief was always temporary. I frequented deep tissue massages, acupuncture, cranio sacral therapy and even had my chiropractor try to find the solution. It wasn't until I was at a routine visit to get my teeth cleaned, that my hygienist pointed out that my bite was misaligned and recommended the Urbanek Splint. At that point I didn't care what it was, I was going to try it. I had already spent thousands of dollars so I thought, "I might as well exacerbate all my options here."



Dr. Urbanek had removed my wisdom teeth years prior and upon entering his office, I was greeted with the same warm welcome as before. He quickly told me exactly what was wrong, how we were going to fix it, what kind of relief I would experience and when I would experience it.



Long story short, I had been clinching my teeth, which led to tinnitus. I suffered through months of only getting a couple hours of sleep, not being able to listen to music, and even having tinnitus flare ups when people said words with an S in it because the ringing was so bad. Dr. Urbanek saved the day and while I wish I had seen him sooner, I thank God that I even saw him at all cause this stuff can drive you crazy.

Dr. Urbanek explained the process in great detail and let me know that he was very concerned with my well-being. His assurance and pleasant demeanor relieved my preconceived , unfounded fears. I had been dealing with symptoms of TMJ since I was about fifteen years old. My symptoms included constant face, jaw, and neck pain (the worst of the symptoms) along with many more, which were not as severe. My mother and sister have also been diagnosed with TMJ and have the same symptoms I do. My mother tried to help her symptoms by getting a night guard to wear so she wouldn't clinch or grind her teeth, but unfortunately she did not get one that actually fit her mouth and her symptoms became much worse even causing her to have to get a cortizone shot in her jaw to help the pain. i have been to approximately 15 specialist over the last 5 years. I have actually been to 4 TMJ "specialist". All of the costs for these procedures were not covered by insurance. Dr. Urbanek is the only one who has relieved my systems. His splint and follow-up visits were the most cost effective. I have experienced severe pain in my jaw, ears, and head due to my TMJ. For 6 years I've been prescribed inflammation medication, braces, and retainers but nothing has seemed to work. I was very excited to learn of Dr. Urbanek and his new Germantown office. I would recommend him and his team to anyone who is suffering from recurring TMJ symptoms. My general DDS suggested an NTI device which I wore for over a year and had no success with it at all. After one day/night of wearing Dr. Urbanek's appliance I could already see significant improvement. After four weeks I feel 100% better!

My story actually begins with a car accident 16 years ago and resulting spinal and headache issues.
