My experience at Aspen has been horrible. On my second set of permanent dentures and they still don't fit right. The dentist there has no bedside manner at all and she does not listen to the patient. She even said to me she wished she worked somewhere that did not do dentures. Had my extractions Nov 3 of 2013 and I still can't bite into anything without my teeth popping out. Dr Smith needs to find a different career because she suckered as a dentist

I had been a long term Aspen Dental patient but this past month showed me their real colors. First i had a three hundred dollar credit on my account, yet they refused to see me unless i paid 60.00 to see the dentist then they overbooked and canceled my appointment. The final straw was i asked for my credits back and they had said they had started the process to have it put back into my account and found out a week later from they main office they had not. So that was it for me i will go to a new dentist, Aspen Dental in Spartanburg, SC is not worth the time or effort.

Overall

Yes they certainly are overrated and they do not, I repeat, DO NOT guarantee their work! I had a crown put on. During the procedure the temporary fell off 5 times!! I barely made it home (1 mile from the site) and it fell off. I went to Aspen Dental in Norman, Ok on 24th Ave NW. I was charged near $1,000 for that crown. This was in June. Now here it is November and the permanent crown is loose! In August I moved to North Dakota. I am to find out that their is not an Aspen Dental in N. Dak! I would have to go to EueClair, Ws to get the crown put back on! If I go to a Dentist here in N. Dak I will have to pay for it myself!! The person named Jules that I talked to at Aspen Dental in Norman, OK said that I they would not pay for it. She would not let me get a word in edge wise so I told her I would be sure and write on their 'Reviews' list to let people know that they do not stand behind their work. She said, quote "We didn't tell you to move to N.D." "You chose too" Unquote! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH ASPEN DENTAL ANYWHERE WITHOUT CHECKING TO MAKE SURE THEY DO NOT HAVE HIDDEN AGENDA!!!! THEY ARE NOT REPUTABLE!!

Overall
Aspen Dental is overrated!

I went in today for a consultation. The staff was friendly except the lady name Brittany who sets you up for a procedure. Total for deep cleaning came up to 2000!! Are you fu*king kidding me?!! She quickly said well insurance covers 1700. Like really?! Are you going to pay or am i? Then I told her to let me discuss it with my husband and she gave me an attitude and said WELL THAT'S WHY YOU ARE SEEING ME BECAUSE I NEED TO SET THIS UP. Then she asked if I ever had a deep cleaning and stated that one would only need to do 1 deep cleaning a lifetime (I'm thinking huh youre not even a doctor) and I told her I had one last year. She gave me another nasty attitude and said WELL IF THEY DID IT CORRECTLY THEN YOU WOULDN'T NEED IT!

I'm so glad I didn't fall for it!! Soo overrated!! Over priced!!! My husband has an appointment with them this weekend, IM GLAD I CANCELED IT!!!

I DO NOT RECOMMEND ASPEN DENTAL TO ANYONE!!

Well I went recently expecting my cleaning which I ASKED FOR! They first of all DON'T SPEAK TO YOU AT THE RECEPTIONIST DESK LET I WAS INVISIBLE SO I STOOD WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO RESPOND WHEN I SAID I WAS A FIRST TIME PATIENT WITH AN APPOINTMENT! Now Cassidy that took my X-rays was Cool & Friendly! Then I go to the back for the chair to do I THOUGHT CLEANING! NOPE I heavy set lady with blonde hair pokes my gums as if trying to MAKE THEM HURT WHICH SHE DID, started doing numbers 1-5, with 4 & 5 being the WORST! So the flat screen tv is USELESS BECAUSE YOU CAN"T WATCH ANYTHING WHEN IN THE CHAIR, screen goes black and Cassidy tried to adjust it but NO LUCK! THEN COMES MS SNOODY DR. RACHEL CASE! She was very cold, unfriendly, batting her eyes, and talking down to me like I'm an idiot! Baby you aren't the only one with SEVERAL DEGREES OK??? The hygienist forced me to sign a paper that I wanted the solution to check for Throat Cancer & to purchase Whitening needles for cleaning/bleaching my teeth! I got up because they left me, they were finished and I said I got to go! So I met Ashley and she was friendly and cool of all of them! She tried her BEST to EXPLAIN what "THEY SAID I NEEDED DONE NEXT"! RIP OFF DENTAL BUSINESS PEOPLE IN GREENWOOD! WASTE OF TIME! Crowns $1000 each , fillings in the hundreds! THEY ARE INCANE! I'm canceling the insurance! NOT WORTH DOING THROUGH THE DRAMA IN THIS SOAP OPERA OFFICE!! THEY ARE NUTTS!!

Moved into area and got sent to aspen dental tilton. they did their process and then consult with doctor-he told me I had to fix 3 things. filling, root canal, crown. I came in for cleaning so I asked what is worse and needs to be addressed. he stated 'you don't trust me' I explained no, just want to know what's worse and fix only what is necessary. he again stated you don't trust me. you not get these fixed, I don't want you. somehow, my feeling was mutual and left to never go back.

Overall
Most ridiculous dentist office I've ever seen!

Came in for cleaning and after getting xrays was told I would have to come back at a later date because the hygienist was out sick. Rescheduled cleaning and made appt to have wisdom teeth pulled. Was called a few days before time to have teeth pulled and was told I would have to reschedule yet again because they didn't have someone to pull them. Went to get a refund for the amount I already pd and xrays to take elsewhere and had to wait over an hour and a half.

Overall
are you kidding

tist. This iffice prides its self on being overbooked and running around like chickens with their heads cut off. They are very overpriced and when all is said and done the dr. Couldnt care less about the patients.he "surgically extracted" two teeth. Ofirst issue no real sedation no stitches and did not even xtract two teeth bcaus he was "behind schedule" we were told to arive at 1045 so that we could be theren befor the office opened. We were there at 1040. No one opened the door untill 11 so we sat out side waiting at the door untill they opened. Then back cause the "dr was behind schedule he only pulled one tooth. Said he didn't have time to do the other.ike some how it was our fault. But we did pay for two surgical extractions.which were not done. 2weeks befor when this all started dr prescribed 7days of antibiotics and 3days of pain meds. That was all he could do because we didnot have the upfront money to have theextractions done that DAY.yep while they were infected. So ling story goes on after the one tooth that he extracted. Hand he couldn't get the mouth numb enough becaus of the time AND INFECTION. He sent us on our way.4daysater huge abscess on the top oroof of the mouth throughout the gumine.nope no dry socket but when we called to ask about it. H said"I kneww that was going to happen just take ibuprofen and make an appointment for monday"! Are you srious its friday and now you are going to leave your patient without antibiotics and or pain meds for three days with something that you knew was going to happen.why in the heck didn't you follow up or jst prescribe the antibiotics in the first place. Horrible but if you do decide to go against this rview be sure to check out the Carrington 500 care plan

H has to honor it and it cuts his profit in half.better yet find a real dentist! A

Overall

Most expensive dentists in our area, and my insurance covered part of procedures. When I heard what I had to pay I walked out before becoming their client. If you want to save some dollars..this is NOT the place to go

Overall
Great experience!

Everyone at Aspen was professional, warm and helpful. I had to have my few remaining upper teeth removed and I was quite nervous about it. The staff, from receptionist to dentist were excellent. The dentist talked me through the removals in a gentle, informative and calming manner. I was quite anxious but she put me at ease. I am very grateful to everyone there. They were professional and supportive. If having several teeth pulled could be a good experience, they certainly made it one.

Overall

Don't go! My husband and I went to 3 dentists to have a preliminary work up done. (you need to shop around for where you feel most comfortable and trusting). First dentist told us we had a couple of cavities each, needed a general cleaning and he has a cracked tooth, which is why he went in the first place, that needs a crown. Minor stuff really. Second dentist, Aspen Dental, told us he needs a deep cleaning, costly and not covered by insurance, we both need 2 root canals, and my existing crowns are getting worn down and will need replacing, again, costly and not covered in full by insurance. We ask about payment plan to pay for what the insurance doesn't cover. Total of my bill out of pocket comes to over $400 which we decided to put on their payment plan when the work is done. However, before we proceed, we go to a third dentist because of the differences in work that need to be done. Third dentist tells us we need a couple of cavities filled and general cleanings!! ( And he mentioned that crowns, especially gold ones which I have, do not show wear. He said all my crowns are just fine with no existing problems.) Exactly the same as the first dentist! Wow! So, we leave Aspen Dental and go with the last dentist. Now here's the kicker....I HAVE A BILL SENT TO ME BY ASPEN DENTAL SAYING I OWE FOR WORK THAT WAS NEVER DONE!!! I took my bill to the office and they said that they have to wait until my dental insurance pays for the general cleaning, which hurt like heck, and xrays (which my insurance pays 100% of ) that I received while there and that I still have to make payments on my bill for root canals, crowns and incidentals that were never done!! I found the personnel there to be less then friendly. They also try to make new patients purchase an expensive toothbrush and what they call prescription cleaning kit for $185. I refused to buy it and they were displeased to say the least. Now I have to fight them over this bill that I don't owe! I only give them one star because it doesn't let me give a thumbs down with a warning to not go there.

Don't go to Aspen Dental

This is a copy of my letter to Aspen Dental:

I had root planing/scaling, clean & polish along with periodontal treatments done back in November 2013. I was charged $3000. My insurance only paid for $1200, so I paid $1800 on my Care Credit card. I was told to come back in 4 months for a "cleaning". In the meantime, I received a bill in the mail for another $350! I took the bill to the local office & was told I didn't have to pay it because "we overestimated what your insurance would pay".

A few days before my visit today, I called, told my name, & asked how much a cleaning would be or would my insurance cover the cost? I was told the cleaning would be $37.40. Before taking me back to do my "cleaning" we stopped off at the payment desk because they felt there was something that didn't add up right with my bill for the day. I saw a paper that had $89 on it for my cleaning. When I questioned why it was more than the $37.40 I was quoted they said that I don't get "cleanings" anymore. With the level of bone loss, etc with my teeth it's now a "periodontal maintenance" which costs much more. But with my insurance it would be $89. I reluctantly presented my Care Credit card for payment & was told that Care Credit could only be used for $300 or more--I had never been told this before. At this point I said that if I couldn't use my Care Credit card--which was my sole purpose for getting a Care Credit card--that I would not be getting anything done. And, at this point, I will NEVER be getting anything done at Aspen Dental again.

I feel like your company looks at the person's insurance & then charges as much as they feel they can get away with. And then maybe later, you send out a bill for extra money & see if the person will just blindly pay it. I do the same kind of dental work with animals every day. Even if our practice charged double what we do charge, we still wouldn't reach half the price of your ridiculous charges! I WILL NOT be back & I WILL NOT recommend Aspen Dental to anyone.

Displeased,

Karrie Overbay

P.S. Holly, at the Pace, FL location is a wonderful dental hygienist. She's the only thing you have going for you.

Overall

years ago, i suffered terrible gum disease. treated & followed a bi-annual Periodontist treatment. had a trusted (General) Dentist in PA whom treated any tooth issues as well (in the same office!) to my own bad neglect, i have not found, nor visited a Periodontist upon relocating to FL.

recent discomfort found me needing to see a dentist immediately! assuming it was a bad molar, i was prepare to have it extracted instead of an expensive root canal/crown.

a walk in visit was not avail (4-6hr wait!) but fortunate to schedule an appt for next day. have a history of POOR dentist visits which leads to severe anxiety for this reason! i was pleasantly greeted at the desk! woman taking my xrays was wonderful! THEN,...the doctor introduced himself! explaining to everyone my history & KNOWING the condition of mouth already, i was ASSURED how much i would love the dentist in the Venice, FL office!!!

NOT AT ALL!!! >>>>>>>>>>HORRIBLE bedside manner! not only was i insulted!... i left the office in tears & in worse pain that i had experienced for my intended visit!!!<<<<<<<<<<

i was basically given option of extraction of 3 teeth, crowns, or dentures! (I'm 40 years old!) i'm well aware i have to specifically see a Periodontist, but was referred to one who does sedative practice! (when Aspen DOES have Perio in office!?) ...only THEN... could i come back to Aspen to have a few teeth filled, but mostly all crowned! ??? & WHY would i even consider going elsewhere, then coming back?!

i was left in a room for nearly a 1/2 hour crying in pain before i was even checked back on!?

...and u wonder WHY i have anxiety to visit "A" new dentist to find someone i "trust"?!!!!! the DENTIST also recommended i find & visit a family doctor to have an exam cause i obviously have high anxiety issues & i could be given "a pill" to alleviate that!

Aspen Dental- stick to this as a new slogan, "eventually you'll loose your teeth if u can't afford thousands of dollars of dental care. just remove them all & switch to dentures now!"

Don't listen to these negative reviews. Aspen too told me I had gum disease and needed several root canals and I thank Dr Rangish every day for being honest with me. My old dentist did patch work and it jeopardized my health. Be glad they are willing to treat your diseased mouth and thank them for helping you. I had a great experience, so it costs money. Big deal, I am worth it!

I went to the Quincy, IL office because i had pain on the right side and one of the fillings was broken. They told me i needed a root canal on that tooth and also 2 on my left side also told me i have Gum Disease. Got the app. all scheduled 1 1/2 out! all that would cost me about $8000 i couldn't afford that. my pain was so bad i keep calling in so they told me they could do a Pulpotomy to relieve some of the pressure they didn't even mention that at all to me before i never heard of it so i did some research of my own and found out i don't need a root canal at all just the pulpotomy which can last for years so i went in the next day had that done my pain was gone! only cost me $55 so i called them the next day asked if i could get that done on the rest of my teeth i told them i don't want the root canal at all. I have really bad pain on my left side now and been calling in for 7 days now they keep telling me they need to speak to the DR. about doing that and they haven't had time to do it! I going to fine a different Dentist now All they care about is the money and kind of rude.

Overall

DANGER!!! Read the reviews and you'll find out what a bunch of scam artist these Aspen offices are...don't go! They tell you 'new dentures for only $600, after the 'bogus' X-rays, they tell you that the advertised 'basic' dentures are only temporary with a 3 month warranty...duh! What then?

The office staff must be on some kind of sales + commission basis because all they do is push the higher priced dentures and look at you like your an idiot if you even consider the advertised ones...don't get sucked in!

Aspen Dental on Commercial Way is an outstanding Dental office. From the moment I had my initial new patient visit which included an unbelievable amount of xrays, as well as a thorough cleaning, I knew I was at the right dental office, and the cost for this service was only $5.

The exceptional dental workmanship I received on my new bridge was simply OUTSTANDING! You can even watch tv right from your dental chair. They are the best!
