I did my first flip a few years ago before I had any knowledge or experience in Real Estate, but we managed to make about $40,000 from it. So I was interested in learning more, thinking that if I can do that without knowing very much imagine what I could do with some real training. When I saw the infomercial for Armando Montelongo’s program on TV I decided this would be a good way to go.

I went to the 1 day free event with my wife, I was ready to get into it and she was a little bit hesitant. It was very informative and it was something that I was very interested in. My wife started to become more and more interested at that point and we went to the bus tour together in Scottsdale, Arizona. The bus tour was very encouraging, I didn’t expect all the energy, but it made it very exciting to learn. It goes from morning until night, not just 8-5, non-stop energy. We made some great friends at the event who we stayed friends with to this day. We do a monthly meetup in Arizona that we oversee, we get anywhere from 20-30 people at those meetings. Now my wife is fully on board, in fact she’s the one who signed us up for the training on commercial deals. We’ve been working on a couple of deals and this weekend were finalizing our first wholesale deal.

The support we received from the mentors has been top notch. You just have to reach out and they are there. There’s a ton of support, they don’t just give you the information and then it’s done. You can always call and get help which is huge for us. I’m now doing this full time, and in a few months my wife will be full time as well.

I heard about this program from my boyfriend who brought home some tickets to an event for Armando Montelongo. I was getting ready to retire for health reasons so I thought this would be a good direction to go in. When we went it sounded so doable because the more educated about it you are, the better educated decisions you can make. We ended up going on the bus tour and then went to a rental property to learn how to generate income in that way. It all felt like common sense and it built confidence in our ability to generate that income. We’ve kept up on the trainings and seminars which helps keep our interest and morale up. I think the people that complain that it’s not working for them are expecting a get rich quick scheme. This is hard work and you have to stick to it for the absolute best results.

Before I found out about Armando’s program I had a friend who was interested in getting into flipping houses. I was up early one morning when I saw an infomercial with Armando promoting his three-day event, so my wife and I ended up going together. The information given at the three-day weekend was exactly what we needed to hear. They let you know whether an investment is good or bad so you don’t make bad decisions. Like, this is how you talk to your contractors and get the best rate, this is how you protect yourself from losing money, this is how you know if you should move forward. You know that he really does care how the students do, he enjoys making other people more financially free as well.

My bus tour was in Miami, FL andt was great, we had a blast. The amount of information you can get in a three-day period is unbelievable. He’s done his research, not only is he successful in buying houses, he knows the best way to teach it. We’ve done some funding so far along with someone else. We’ve done four in Denver, now we’re doing one in Tucson. We have some members that we have continued to keep in touch with, and the support we’ve received from the program is outstanding. You get the feeling from Armando that you are one of his colleagues and that he is willing to help you personally to be successful.

I was channel surfing at 3 o’clock in the morning a while ago and came across this REI program. I had been thinking about going back to school so I thought this looked interesting. I attended the intro then signed up for the three-day with Chris. I come from an HR background and was impressed with the way they taught the class and could see that they had the structure down. Chris was extremely congenial, it was basic stuff and he gave us a lot of leads, great basic information. I made up my mind that I was going to continue, and that this is something that I wanted to do, pursue a potentially new career, because I have some experience in Real Estate and wanted to go further.

After the three-day event, I moved on to the bus tour. I was totally blown away the first day, as it was a ten-hour day and I quickly realized there was a lot I didn’t know. I went to the Master Mentor’s program, which was amazing, and starting really participating in the program, including the bi-weekly conference calls and other online mentoring opportunities available. The conference calls have also been helpful. I’m in the process of making many deals and I believe there are deals to be made in every market.

I am very satisfied with the training I have received so far and would like to keep going with the education that is available. I heard about the program from my dad who had seen an ad about it, and because he is a contractor and was down on work, wanted to start something new, so we decided to do it together. The three-day event was good information and the presenters really related to us. It was a small intimate group so they got to know us, and we got to pick their brains. My dad also loved the event, as again he comes from a background of 18 years in contracting.

I went to Riverside for the bus tour, going into it I thought it was going to be a long, boring seminar. But it was fun, they had comic relief, which was well-needed. The days were long, but enjoyable. I actually won a chance to come back after the bus tour, which was very nice. We have also taken the Asset Protection class. We’ve had one flip and two wholesales so far and we’ll be closing on a property this coming Wednesday. So, we’re going in the right direction!

I am a retired prison warden, and about ten days before I saw the infomercial I told my wife I was bored. So my wife and I went to the seminar and found out about the three-day event, which we went to in February 2016 in Sacramento California. The three-day event had a lot of energy. We had the opportunity to talk with some presenters who had been successful in doing this business. The amount of support that Armando’s group offers caught my attention.

We did the bus tour in Phoenix, Arizona. The information on the tour was phenomenal, almost an information overload. The Intensity level was high, late nights, long days. But the way they present information makes it easy to retain, as well as lots of written material so it’s easy to go back and look at it. Walking houses and using the information was a great way to learn. Going through the houses and using the knowledge we had so far then comparing it to what our guide had helped us solidify our knowledge. We have since done Master Mentor, Advanced Rehab, and pretty much every other course. I have the tools I need right now, and the knowledge and skill set. Plus I can call the mentors anytime I need. I’m doing my first flip right now. We love to travel and I’m able to do this for extra money to travel with.

I attended a free seminar in Las Vegas with this company in July of 2015. The seminar provided very little actual information on how to do the business and was more about hype to get you to buy a 3 day seminar and some books/CDs. My wife and I gave in to their hard selling techniques and purchased the seminar/materials. I didn't start reading the materials until about a week later, and only got through two of the pamphlets before I became very uncomfortable being associated with this business. There were many spelling errors, some incorrect calculations, and the CDs were all prefaced with the same remark (in essence it said that there have been some important changes, and the company didn't want to spend the extra money to update the CDs, but it assured that the books were correct). My thought was, "if they aren't able to successfully put together this education material, how are they going to be able to help me be successful in this business?" Because of this, I quickly became uneasy with the legitimacy of the business.

So, I thought I would try to get a refund for my purchase on the basis that the company sold me defective or subpar product. I wasn't EXPECTING it back because at this point it was about a week and a half after I made the purchase and the contract specifies the 3-day refund policy. However, I thought I would try because I didn't have anything to lose and $1,500 is a lot of money to someone like me (at this point in my life). After explaining my reasoning for my request for an exception to the 3-day policy with one of the "mentors", he told me he would check with his direct supervisor and give me a call back to let me know the status of the request. I waited 2-3 days with no response. Finally, I gave them a call back only to get somebody else that I had to tell my whole story to again. She also told me that she was going to call me back that day before she left to let me know what her supervisor said. I received no such phone call. I went through this 3 times. On my fourth phone call back I spoke with a representative who once again asked me my situation. I quickly found out however, that this was just a pleasantry and that he didn't really want to hear a word I was saying. He was very rude, condescending, and interrupted every time I tried to speak so that I wasn't even able to produce a coherent string of words to make a complete sentence. At least this man was able to give me a direct "no" response to my refund request, so I didn't have to wait on an un-kept promise.

In short (and in my opinion), this company sells subpar product and has staff that are supposed to be mentors, but that instead treat you poorly and don't follow through with what they say they are going to do (except the part about keeping your money). If this company is having these type of people mentor you, and are producing the kind of material that I was exposed to, I don't want any further part of it.
