Sara and Howard were very up front and very thorough. Howard does not pull any punches and tells you exactly what you need and what it's going to cost. His quality of repair and customer service are exceptional. Sara was on top of things of letting me know what was going on and what issues if any came up. Howards work is exceptional and his customer service goes beyond any mechanic has ever done. I would recommend him to anybody who needs repair on their car. Very good people and excellent mechanic. Beats ALL the others by a wide margin

Howard and Sara are 2 people you can definitely trust. Howard tell you what you need and what you don't need. He is honest and tell you exactly what you need and what it's going to cost. Howard does not pull any punches. He and Sara are very customer conscience.and take care of their customers beyond what ANY auto shop does. Cole's Auto repair Is a Great mechanic I have taken all my cars to him and I make sure to refer all my friends to Coles Auto because he won't cheat you out of your money and he doesn't talk down to you like your a moron like other places. If you have any Car problems I strongly sigest Coles Auto All the time everytime

My 91 Honda Accord is at the end of it's life and my inspection was far overdue. The main problem was the high beam indicator bulb in the dash being out. I had the same problem getting it inspected previously and the mechanic I took it to 'fixed' the bulb. It barely passed and stopped working a few weeks later.



This time I took it to Cole's. Howard found out it needed more than a bulb replacement and went above and beyond to get one more year out of my car. He estimated three hours of work for diagnosing the electrical system and worked at it twice as long to fix it. But to keep his word, he only charged me for the three hours! He was also honest about what the dash actually needed (complete overhaul, not worth it), and what he did to get it working to pass inspection.



Sara kept me informed with calls every step of the way and she always let me know in advance about any extra work that needed done.



This is one of the few places you can take your car to and feel like you're getting too good of a deal instead of feeling ripped off. TAKE YOUR CAR TO COLE'S! I guarantee you won't be going to another mechanic, you'll be going to YOUR mechanic.

I have taken my 2 vehicles to multiple national chain places and also the dealerships with a feeling of being taken advantaged of the situation. I found Cole Auto & Transmission and haven't looked back. The workmanship has been exceptional with a radiator problem in one vehicle and a clutch assembly in the other. Fast service is beyond compare. If the promise to have your vehicle back on a certain day or time... it will be ready. They will show you the bad parts and the issue the problem has caused. They will only fix what needs to be fixed and not try to find issues to fix. I have taken my 2 vehicles here 3 different times for routine checks and also maintenance. Howard is very personable and prides himself on his work, and Sarah is always fantastic to talk with and explain what work needs to be done. No work is ever completed without approval from the customer. They put the customer first. Cole Auto & Transmission is also easy on your pocket book. I got a quote from a dealership for the clutch work and it was 3 times more expensive than Coles. Also a national chain was 2 times more expensive for the same amount of work and also wanted to add additional services to the ticket. It has been a blessing to find a truly HONEST mechanic. I found Cole's on the Internet and I'm so glad I did. The Cole's team (Howard & Sarah) are fantastic!!!! Plus the costumer service is outstanding.

First time my car was repaired we thought the problem was fixed. We had to return the car, Howard did not charge me for the repairs second time around since he did not find the problem the first time, plus he fixed my windshield water hose at no charge. Try to find an Auto repair shop that has that kind of service.

Howard and Sarah keeps you well inform on the repairs that needs to be done, THE BIG PLUS is you don’t have to wait three or four days for a phone call they call you the same day you take your car in.

My Moto with Cole’s is you can buy a hose from Cole’s and not get hosed.

Had a power Steering pump installed a few months back from these guys,they even power washed my engine and under the van which was great very happy! The work they did was better then excellent, one place wanted to change me around 500 dollars and the dealer wanted to charge me between 700-800 dollars and that's not counting to even have them just look at it. Now when I took in my van ( 1990 GMC Vandura 2500) they quoted me on around 200-300 dollars. Which wasn't bad saved me 200 and plus more dollars. Ill have to admit they did make a mistake the first time, something about the pump being bad which is fine sh*t happens i can understand that. Took it back they fixed it with NO PROBLEMS OR HASSLE.Also again they power washed it which was very nice. Got it back and it was great just like brand new. Ill keep using Cole's Auto forever its very rare to find a true honest shop like this. The staff was way beyond excellent, great attitude great environment it was hassle free. Would like to thank coles auto again for replacing the power steering pump works great still and its really nice not having to pop the hood in the freezing cold to pour in power steering fluid :)!!!

I decided to take my car in to Coles to get checked out after several failed attempts to get the problem fixed with other mechanics. At Coles, they were able to diagnose the problem and fix it in less than a day. My car runs like new! The mechanic (Howard) is the owner and his wife Sara, the office manager are both exceptionally nice, helpful, very knowledgeable and most importantly HONEST. I highly recommend anybody to use Coles Auto Repair. I am telling all my co-workers and family members and anybody else who needs auto repair about this repair shop. I have found a Mechanic for life! After the Dealer diagnosed my truck as” Transmission Failure” and advised me it will take approximately $4,900.00 to fix it (Mind you, my truck is valued at $5,125.00) after looking on the internet for companies to “Rebuild Transmission” (I thought that would be cheaper) I found a company that was cheep (about $1,400.00) but they had my truck over 30 days, removed and rebuilt my transmission THREE times and still could not get my truck to run. Upset and out of my car for over 35 days, I got back on the internet once again but this time it was to looking for a new truck, somehow; I ran across the yellow pages, the only thing I can say, It was an act of God the I found Coles Auto and Transmission Repair. I GOT MY CAR BACK!!!!!! My car is my first baby! It runs like NEW! The staff was AWESOME, Howard! God bless you! He was very open and honest with me about what was wrong and what the cost would be, nothing was hidden. Sarah, U rock! Thank you so much for allowing me to talk you ears off. I am new to the DFW area and I "was" looking to find an honest top quality mechanic. How I ended up at Cole's is shortly after moving here wouldn't you know it, my car broke down... It was recommended to me to take my car to City Garage. Not knowing any better I did. There I was told they weren't sure was wrong with my car but a new engine would fix the problem ($6500) When I asked if they could tell me 100% for sure what the problem was they said for $2000 they would tear my engine apart and let me know... I was not happy, just by chance I found Cole's on the Internet and I'm so glad i did. The Cole's team (Howard & Sarah) were fantastic, they were willing to tear my engine apart and tell me exactly what the problem was for $100. Turns out my engine could be saved. Although it was still an expensive job I now knew for sure what the problem was. Not only that but Cole's is very informative all along the repair process, they don't do any work without letting you know first either, I now have my mechanic.

When I first discovered Coles Auto Repair I was floored with all the great reviews they had. So I called them to get a price to have my transmission rebuilt. When I called I had just received word from the dealership that I needed a new transmission in my 01 Odyssey. Cole's gave me a price of $1400 plus hard parts. They also explained that even with hard parts my price wouldn't go over $1900. Some of the other shops wanted $2500-$4500. Most of the other shops were trying to persuade me into buying a junkyard transmission without any kind of warranty. The other places told me that my transmission couldn't be rebuilt. I ended up paying only $1650 when everything was done & they back their work up with a 1 year warranty. I have been driving my odyssey for a little over 4 months now problem free. Thank you Howard and Sara for doing such a great job and making my experience there with you all so pleasant. These people really do care about their customers!!!!!!!

I called 15 or so auto repair shops and received prices any where from $2200.00 to $3150.00 for a transmission repair. then I found Coles Auto and Transmission Repair and read the reviews WOW.. Then I called them and I'm glad I did. They gave me the best news of the year $1575.00. So I decided to take my vehicle to their shop and allow them to check it out. They informed me that once they open it up that the price could change. 4 hours later I received a phone call from them. They had told me that they had my transmission tore apart. The only thing they could find wrong with it was a bad torque converter. Needless to say my bill went from $1575 down to $625. Just to think, they could have ripped me off, but not at Coles. They really love their customers. You can tell it by the way they treat you. My car is running as good as new. Any other repair shop would have taken all the money being as how I had already apporved the $1575. Thank you for your honesty. It's good to know there are still honest shops out there. I'm a customer for life.

Recently I had issues with my ford and was quoted 350 to get the problems fixed. Using my better judgement I did my due diligance and came across coles website preaching sincerity and good ethics. He got my car in and under quoted me and did not fix the problem. the first appearance is a too good to be true because it is just that. i will never take another vehicle there and will let everyone know how much of a scam artist that operation is

Cole’s Auto Repair is simply the best in Arlington. I’ve lived here in Arlington for over 30 years and I strongly believed that I have found one of the best in auto mechanic in town. Howard Cole is not only a great mechanic, he’s also honest, fair, and simply the hardest working mechanic I’ve ever known. Howard is a great troubleshooter, who explains the problems in a language you can understand and more importantly fixes only what you really need and at a fair price! I brought my 1993 Toyota Camry to him for repair and couldn’t be happier with its performance after the repair. I would not hesitate to recommend his service to my family and friends and I certainly he would be at the top of my list for all my future auto repair needs! Thanks Howard and Sara Cole. Coles auto repair is a great auto repair service, He was very nice to me and straightforward with me and did not try to over charge me or anything. Best auto repair shop I have ever been to. Mr. Cole was very honest and straight forward. Explained exactly what was wrong with my truck. Did not overcharge or try to say that I had a major problem like many other shops I've been to. He even cleaned to engine before I left. I would definitely recommend Cole's Auto Repair to anyone.

I called about six mechanics trying to get my oil leak fixed and most of them wanted to charge me 350 off top. I called Cole's Auto shop and he gave me a price that was less than a hundred. He had excellent customer service and Sara was also very freindly. They are very honest people and I appreicieate that and I would defeinately recommend him as a mechanic and I will be taking my car to him for future problems with my car

Cole's Auto Repair is by far the best value for auto repair in the Metroplex, 30-50% less than anyone else I quoted for my transmission, cooling leak, and TP sensor fix. Howard and Sarah are top notch when it comes to getting the job done for less. I 100% stand behind Howard's quality of work and honesty, and so does he! They listen to the customer, fix what is asked, and are happy to work with you in any way possible. What I really like best is that Howard is an excellent diagnostician. This helped because he was able to replace only one sensor to cure 3 different codes (problems) my truck was reading. Simple and cheap instead of lengthy and costly.

I hope everybody is right, gonna be taking my van in monday morning and we shall see how it goes.Talking over the phone with them is just wow, explained everything to me even brake boost and hydro boost for my power steering pump.No other person would of taken the time to do that over the phone. Will update monday :)

Wow, I have to say this was a pleasant surprise to find this shop. Had Shock, Struts, Axle and fuel system repaired/replaced on my Mazda Tribute and never happier.
