Signature Rent-A-Car

Picked up the car after standing around for an hour they tried to send me out the gate with saying there was nothing wrong with the car and I had to make them reinspect the car bc the taillight was broken dents and scratches all over the car. When we came back they tried to tell us we did that to the car. We declined there insurance. They tried to charge us 1000 for not taking there insurance even though they state in their policy that they only charge the deductible of your insurance company. To top it all off they forced us to sign paperwork or the shuttle would not take us back to the airport and we would miss our flight. So they essentially held us until we had no choice

These guys are frauds, avoid at all costs. They billed me $50 for a toll that costs $1.38. They also forced me to get insurance which like no other car renta agency does. I really should have cancelled and gone elsewhere. What a disaster.

Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place!! Giving this review one star is a bonus, they deserve a negative star. Service is the worse you have ever seen, scammers and cheaters and 2 hours wasted with your blood pressure raising through the roof just to get the hell out of there. Trust me people there seems to be something going on there. The atmosphere is very shady, the smell of cologne will make you sick, it's a total rip off. If you choose to go there be prepared for your car rental not to be available and you better have your car insurance papers with you or else big charges and by all means take pictures of the car, windshield, tires and every detail in the vehicle cuz you know they will try to tell you damage was done while in your possession. JUST DON'T GO HERE!!!

DO NOT USE THIS PLACE!!!! They are a scam! HUGE HIDDEN FEES THEY DO NOT DISCLOSE!!! We reserved a car for $95.51 for one week rental. In the email conformation it stated all taxes and fees included. They took forever to get us a car when we arrived and when we finally got one they rushed us through everything. They ran our credit card in the beginning but never signed anything until the very end when they handed us the keys and a folded up piece of paper. They charged us over $266. I strongly recommend using a reputable rental car company.

My wife rented a car from economy last night and your agent would not accept her usaa insurance proof because it didn't have her name on it. I tried to talk to your agent by having my wife hand her phone to him and he refused to talk to me.
. I called the Orlando office without any resolution.
Because it was late she signed the contract and took the car. I called my insurance company and she now has a notice with her name on it. I called the Orlando office today to get the charge removed and they won't do it because they say the contract says they must show it at time of rental. I said ok I will have her return it today and they said the contract says they can't return early

This place does not even deserve a 1 star. They overcharged and their paper work was all wrong. Said no to their insurance because we had are own. We had proof on are phone but they still charged for theirs. Their total on the rental was even wrong when you add up the numbers. I reserved on line and they charged the wrong rental fee for each day plus added taxes and fees when the online taxes were already on the sheet we gave them. Do not use this place. They gave us a phone number to call and email address to call because they would not deal with us there. Called the number but was always busy. So trying another number. Asked for manager they put me on hold and still they have not came on line. This is all wrong. Never, never again!!

We got completely scammed by this company and paid twice what was advertised on expedia. Dont take their shuttle, stay at the airport with the regular dealers

Avoid at all cost! Had to take the 3rd bus to the airport (first two full.) Driver dropped us off at terminal A despite my protest. Had to walk all the way to B. Return even worse. Call answered by machine saying wait at B12. B12 has signs "all parking moved to B35". Finally got a live person on phone who said B35. Next bus came to B35, but was full after stopped at B12; driver said go back to B12 (1st stop). Back to B12, lots of people in chaos. Short of pushing and shoving, we got on the next one sitting on each other's laps, leaving many others behind. Back at the lot, same confusion/chaos. They finally got my ticket, but couldn't find my key for an hour. I then asked to go through their keys myself. Still couldn't find it. Another guy with lost key was taking a rental, but I live an hour away and hate to swap the car later. Saw a lady taking pic of her car damaged after parking here, so I went to inspect my car, and saw my key inside my car! We landed at 3:40pm, got my car at 6pm.

terrible place to rent from. they force you to take their insurance and the toll package which you don't need. this ramps up the price by double to triple what they quoted

Not recommend this company. After 2 hours waiting, I failed rent a car. they was blame me because I was late 2 hours. The reason I was late because I missed 4 times their shuttle bus. Now they didn't want to refund my deposit back. Worse experience.

Damien was my rep. He asked me if I wanted to purchase their toll pass. I said no we will pay tolls cash and we come here often. He saw my 3 year old and asked me if I wanted a car seat and I said no that I brought one with me. Then the shenanigans started. He asked me if I wanted their insurance coverage. I said no. Then he asked to see a copy of my insurance policy with coverages and deductible amounts listed. This was a first and I pulled up my entire auto policy on my phone. He looked shocked and said that if I didn't want to show him I could just pay for their coverage. Then he said the hold on my credit card is $1,000. I rent vehicles frequently and have never had a $1,000 credit card hold. After a hour plus, we finally got our rental vehicle and paid $66. Total including all taxes. I had to have a credit card hold of $1,000. Do not rent from this place. But in the end I held my ground and did not pay for any additional coverages. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS PLACE!!

No clear disclosure of hidden fees on this site, I spent the extra 15 a day to buy the insurance offered throughOrbitz .I proved that I had purchased extra protection through Orbitz, This was not good enough for Signature. Quote from sales guy, Daniel, complete with snarky tone "That insurance may be good enough for you, but it's not good enough for us!"When I expressed my humourous shock (I chuckled and said "it seems this happens a lot", as 3 customers had left in only the 10 minutes I was there, obviouosly all of them very upset with the hidden fees and terrible cutomer service), Daniel, this young, aggressive sales associate, began to harshly "reprimand" me for having the nerve to insult him. The situation went from calm to extremely hostile all on the part of his actions. When I pointed out that this was no way to treat a customer, that his off-putting, contentious defenses to my simple bemused demeanour were not acceptable, he gave me an ultimatum: do what I say or leave.

Worst car rental experience of my life, and that includes quite a few third world countries. Bait and switch tactics, they will not honor the reservation price, and Bianca Lafontaine is possibly the rudest human being (that's actually somewhat in doubt...) that I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. One star is too many. Stay away. Stay very far away!

1 star is just too much for these people! Worst rental ever! I´ve been renting cars in Orlando 3 times a year for the last 5 years and this was my first bad experience. These guys obligate you to get all the extra insurances, deliver your car with an empty tank (if you return it with a full tank they don´t pay you back) and charge you extra in your credit card. Awful experience! They go under the name of Economy Rent a car.

Horrible experience, over 1 hour wait and then extra charges ($20 per day) for not having proof of insurance coverage, printed out with you, they will not talk to your insurance company on the phone, they will not accept a fax or internet proof. Total scam.

I am being generous Do Not Rent from this company. I was told about their insurance if I took the insurance they would charge a hold of $150. I declined the insurance, salesperson said strongly I would be charged a hold of $1000, She stated that if there was even a scratch on the car they would keep the $1000 and I would have to fight with my insurance company to return my money. I stepped aside as I contacted my insurance company to email proof of my insurance. While I was standing there, I witnessed the sales staff continue in their pitches. The next older couple also thought the $1000 was excessive. They declined the insurance, received the same sales pitch. Confused at how to obtain their proof of insurance from email and not wanting to loose $1000. They bought the insurance. Older people and those from other conutries are frightened into purchasing the compnay's insurance on which the sales staff make commissions. Submit complaints to the BBB and Federal Trade Commission.

Sleazy scammers. They run an insurance scam. Should be out of business soon. Don't patronize this business!

Never use this place!!!! We fly to Florida once a month and I have told all my friends and relatives to never use this service. They over charged my account by $150 and billed me without even getting my signature for the invoice. NO one there will give me answers either. This place is a joke and so are the rude people that work there. I will write a review a day until they refund me the money they owe me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Awful! Tried to get $10 extra per day for insurance. I declined. I had proof of insurance from AAA. He said that wasn't good enough, because it didn't show the details of my policy. Then searched for my policy on my phone. Wife and I spent 10-15 minutes frantically trying to find it. We finally did, but even that wasn't good enough. It didn't show full replacement. I told him this was unfair, and he actually laughed, and said told me this was how they keep their rental prices so low. I told him I would just go to another car rental place. He said they would ALL have the same fee, because it was a new law passed in Florida two years ago. I knew this was not true, because we rented in Orlando last year. Took the shuttle back to the airport, and set up a rental at Enterprise while en route. No problem with insurance. Had my car in no time. Do NOT go to Economy rent a car, as the business was called when I went there 1/22/2016. Same address. They should be prosecuted for fraud.
