Unleashed Pet Grooming School

So grateful for this school. Jackie is a bright and warm instructor who made each of us feel confident we could all be successful if we worked hard and had true love for these animals. I know that I am very shy of criticism and Jackie and her manger/instructor, Tim, made me feel welcome to ask questions without fear of feeling uncomfortable or stupid. It is a fun and warm atmosphere that lends to a great learning environment. The skills I acquired at Unleashed Pet Grooming School helped afford me a great job at a upscale salon in Edmond just a few weeks after I graduated! So many wonderful things I can say about this place. I highly recommend this school to anyone who is wanting a fulfilling job in Pet Grooming!!! - Shelby S.

I have 3 small dogs. One is a maltese/shih tzu so her hair quickly grows. I've taken my chihuahua & dachshund in for routine baths & nail-grinding. They've been to Unleashed every 6 weeks for 4 years or so. I've also taken my other dog in for bath, shaving, nail-grinding. Not once have I encountered anything but a cheerful atmosphere by both the owner & the students. My dogs tell me they enjoyed their visit by the fact they wag their tail each time we pull into the parking lot. In fact, one dog was shivering all the way there & once she realized where she was, her tail was wagging non-stop. Another dog was a rescue dog & is afraid of a lot. Had she been mistreated at all, she'd show signs. She always loves going to Unleashed. I've on rare occasions used other commercial pet groomers & the prices are almost twice as high & I've personally seen my dog left unattended on the grooming table. Never at Unleashed though! They're treated great, come out smelling & feeling wonderful. Great haircut each time. I can't recommend Unleashed Pet Grooming enough!

I wouldn't say I was one of the best students, I'm deaf and have other medical issues. Jackie has worked with me through it all. She is one of the best teachers I have ever came across. Even when I messed up she let me know the problem areas and helped me go back over them. I understand people are leaving bad reviews about how Jackie overworks the students and working them like a sweatshop. That is pure bullhooey. From my understanding even from working as an apprentice and a bather in grooming shops before I went to Unleashed the rule to being a successful groomer is to keep a clean shop. So not only is she teaching her students to groom, she's teaching them what to know about keeping a clean salon. There is no cruelty to animals, if there is any cruelty towards animals by a student they are immediately removed from school never to return.

I graduated from "Unleashed" in January of 2012. I was almost immediately hired on a part-time basis by a local mobile service. The owner was so impressed with my skills and abilities that I only spent 2 days in training before being handed the keys and told to call if I ran into anything I couldn't handle! I have to say, I owe that to Jackie and her staff. The hands-on training I received was second to none and the casual, fun--loving atmosphere made going to school every day very enjoyable. I looked forward to going in and learning something new almost every single day. I am now a full-time pet stylist with hardly any room left in my calendar. My clients are extremely pleased with my work and specifically ask for me to put them on standing appointments...money in the bank and I am doing well. Again, I thank Jackie and staff at Unleashed for a fantastic learning experience that I will never forget. Do I recommend Unleashed? Absolutely, without a doubt, hands down, it's the only place to attend grooming school in Oklahoma where you will learn everything you need to know in order to be an independent groomer from day 1 after graduation! Thumbs up UNLEASHED!!!

We are very happy with Unleashed. They have always been great with my two dogs and very helpful! The dogs come home looking great and very happy!

I take my precious, sweet, and very demanding Molly to Unleashed, and ONLY to Unleashed. The entire staff treats my Molly as their own. She is treated as the Diva she is. Groomed and bathe very well. I love the bows they put on her. She is very happy and well cared for by the owner and staff. And she gets Treats! I would recommend this place to anyone!!

Unleashed is a great place to go. Great prices with no hidden fees like the corporate pet stores. Nice hair cuts at a great price to maintain your family pets grooming hygiene. She has groomed many of our rescue animals, that have came from puppy mills and the stink like you would not imagine and are often matted of unrecognizable as to what breed they are. Her students send them out of their looking great.. No it's not a show quality cut but you can't get one when the dog is matted and coat is in poor condition. These are students they are learning and if there is a flaw in the hair cut.. HELLO ITS HAIR IT GROWS BACK. This is a training school so your pet may be there a little longer plan on it being their all day, as we all know it takes longer to train someone verses someone who already knows every thing they need to do. Jackie's heart is in the animals and she has found a career to follow her passion..and tries to make it a fun atmosphere for her students and not a tense "Chef Ramsey" atmosphere.

Excellent & Cheap!

I have been taking all three of my dogs to Unleashed since they opened and have always been treated very well. Jackie knows my dogs' names and comes to take them from me when I come in. One of my dogs is a toy poodle and he comes out looking as if he has had a very expensive cut. He recently went blind and Jackie and all of her students baby him and love him even more. I love the discount card to get a grooming free, but the cost is so inexpensive I don't mind paying. Some places won't even accept my big dogs and Jackie doesn't even bat an eye. Hope Unleashed is around for a long time to come!

I am a current student at Unleashed and I am quite happy with it. For those of you who have bad reviews for this place really need to get a grip. Jackie (owner) and Tim (her assistant) are awesome. They are always helping us and always very encourging to us plus the dogs do get baths and I mean EVERY dog. Trust me I know! I have gone home soaking wet just from all the baths. Jackie loves animals and it is very apparent. I love the school and I am glad that I go there. Retarded people need to keep their mouths shut, and grow up!

As a previous student, I am appalled someone could say that about Unleashed. Some techniques used on dogs may appear "ruff" to the unknowledged and inexperienced person. The school has been in business for over two years now and no serious injuries have occured on the pets. The owner Jackie is not in it for the money she has the best rates compared to any, and donates services to many local rescue groups. Jackie take time with her students and works with them on an individual basis. Students are assigned only the amount of dogs they can handle based on current skill level. No one is required to meet a quota of dogs per day and I never felt rushed and always had help if I fell behind pace. Since graduating 1.5yrs ago I have been working successfully as a professional pet groomer. I enjoyed my time and training at Unleashed and have no regrets attending.

We took our poodle here and they did a fabulous job on her. I just gave the contact information to my daughter so she can take her dog in as well. They were really very nice and professional.

Recently I took my two male Chow dogs into Unleashed to get them groomed. Lets just say i was amazed by how great they looked when they came out! Since this is a grooming school i expected there to be flaws but i couldn't find a single one. The price was the cheapest i have found in all of OKC. And everyone there seemed so professional. The owner even gave me a discount card for the next time i bring my dogs back. This place is great! and i will never take my dogs anywhere else. =]

This place really gets the job done! I've taken my cat to other grooming places and they just didnt do a good job. The price is great and they get my pet in and out in a hurry. I would recommend this buisness for any pet owner that gets their pet groomed.

I have been taking my dogs here since the school opened. My dogs love it and I love how they look when finished. I've been to an expensive pet groomer and have found my dogs to be mistreated and even injured. Unleashed takes great pride in caring for their clients and making everyone excited to return.

I recommend Unleashed to anyone that wants their pets treated and groomed the right way. I take both my Corgi and Basset hound in there and just love how she treats them both and how great they look when they come out. I will be a student of hers within the next few months myself. Great Job!

I have took my dog to get groomed at unleased. They are very nice and affordable. I would recommened any one that is looking for great service to take their pets here. They are very very affordable. I have went to several places that charge a lot more and beleive me higher prices does not mean better service. Jackie the owner is always there willing to makie you and your pet feel comfortable.

This dog grooming academy is the best!



You flat out cannot beat their prices! They are excellent with the dogs!

As for the review below this mine, I have brought my three dogs there since this location opened and can honestly not believe that to be a true story.

Took our little dog here to try and save a little money. What a big mistake. Dropped her off at 7:00 am and was told first come, first serve. We called at 12:15 and the told us another 45 minutes. We called at 2:00 and they told us 20 more minutes. We finally just went to pick her up. I noticed after holding my dog there was blood all over my shirt. They had somehow cut the pad of her paw and didn't notice or say anything. By the way, the haircut was awful and we don't think they shampooed her either. Spend the money and ensure your dog is taken care of.
