View High Lake Apartments

If I could give 0 stars I would.

Do not rent from View High Lake Apartments. Maintenance is horrible and the staff is rude and unhelpful. My husband and I moved into a lower level apartment in April of 2013. Not even a week later, there is a huge thunderstorm and water is pouring in my dining room window. I called emergency maintenance and he said, "Obviously I can't make it stop raining." No one came down to look at it. We called them about 10 times in the next two weeks and no one ever came down. The window leaks every time it rains. After months and months, someone finally came to look at the mold in the ceiling from the rain, and just PAINTED over the spots. 6 months later in late October, they said they would have a contractor come down and fix the problem; which all he could do is put a metal plate in between the beam running through the ceiling and the deck of the person above us (deck over dining room window). He said that is all he could do because it was now too cold to take down their deck and properly fix the problem. This morning 4/2/14 (basically a year later) we had a thunderstorm and the window is still leaking. When told about this, the office said that because they hired a contractor they couldn't do anything about the window and we would just have to deal with it until our lease was up. Also, we have had multiple leaks from the ceilings in different rooms all over the apartment, but they still refuse to fix it.



Security is a joke. He only drives around on Friday and Saturday night until like 10:00 PM. Also, there are people around with drugs. My husband works nights and I definitely do not feel safe sleeping there alone. (He was on days when we moved).



DO NOT RENT FROM THIS DUMP! I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND VIEW HIGH LAKE APARTMENTS IF YOU PAID ME!



To add on to View High Lake's negligence, we have the one bedroom with den floor plan. That room a few weeks ago got soaked from a leaking ceiling. There are huge yellow spots on the ceiling...or there were until they just came barreling into my apartment, no notice and painted over them with spray paint...in a room with no ventilation. Hope no one has mold allergies.

This has to be the best apartment complex that I've lived in. The people in our building are wonderful, and between all of us, we have a very strong sense of community. We watch out for each other, we help each other, laugh and have a good time. Miss Annie (property manager) and Miss Julie (business manager) are great people to work with, and if you speak honestly about what's going on, they're very easy to work with. The maintenance guys(Russ, Daniel & Ron) are great, they're always prompt, and do a good job, friendly and easy going. The grounds are always well kept, mowed and trimmed. The pool is always sparkling clean. Most of the residents (that I've had the pleasure meeting) are nice people, always ready with a smile and a hello. The rent on what we have is a great price. I would recommend this place to anyone. It's a good place to be, and to call home.
