Regency North Apartments

Once they have charmed you with the fake niceness, and lower price that other apartments you do not matter. You know how you may deal with a crappy phone company or other service that is exactly how they are - they say they will fix something and it does not get fixed. It is very frustrating and while we deal with it when it comes to phone companies, etc. it is worse when it is the place you call home. There have been 3 different managers since I moved in, so even if you do get along with the manager when you move in do not count on them staying around. The maintenance do not fix stuff, and when they do come to your place they half a** fix it, they have literally rigged stuff up to fix my stuff. I would not recommend this place to anyone, even for the $300 referral fee. I would do without the money before I told someone to live here. they have you in the lease you are nothing but a number and they do not care how crappy you live. They hold you accountable for your side of the lease, but who holds them accountable? It just sucks, you are clearly nothing but a little person that they can ignore but still take your money. It is a business and some businesses truly care about their customers and some do not, Regency does not. It is one of those situations that you just have to deal with because you do not have a lot of money, I chose the apartments because they were the cheapest and yes I have poor credit, therefore I have to deal with a crappy situation. The amount of rent I pay though, I would think having at least one working phone jack would be reasonable, but no I had to fight for my rights on that one. I would think a broken sink that causes water to go into the carpet would be a major issue, but no. I just don t get to use one side of my sink until they decide to fix it, but let me be one day late on my rent, I get fined. Who fines them for their mishaps? It s been a horrible experience, I did renew my lease but only cause I am stuck. It s a situation of the poor gets poorer and the rich get richer.

I renewed my lease here last month for another year and I could not be happier. I live in a 1 bedroom and it is the biggest 1 bedroom I have found and I can afford it. I have not had many issues, the few times I called in an issue the maintenance guys were here within a day or 2. My a/c went out last week and he was at my place only 15 min after I called. I plan on living here until I buy a house and would reccomend it to anyone.

When we first moved in, we thought it was a nice older apartment that was in our price range. A new management team took over half way through, and when they did things went downhill quickly. They cut corners on plowing the parking lots in the winter time, cleanliness of the outside of the buildings, and the quality of clientele went down. They didn't charge a deposit which was nice, but then proceeded to charge us for the cleaning expenses of moving out, even after we had cleaned it. I strongly recommend not using this apartment complex for you next place to live or any run by Maxus Properties, they are a shady, crooked company.
