Arthritis
An inflammation of the uvea, the middle layer of the eye, anterior uveitis can result from eye trauma or health issues such as rheumatoid arthritis. This leads to red and sore eyes, blurred vision, and increased light sensitivity, and responds to specialized treatment.
Primary Care
Dr. Eileen Ng attended the University of California, Berkeley, for both her B.S. in Biology and her Doctor of Optometry. She trained in a variety of settings, including the Reno, NV Veterans Affairs hospital and a non-profit health center in Atwater, CA, and completed her geriatrics and primary care optometry residency at the West Los Angeles Veterans Affairs Hospital. Dr. Ng joined us in Bakersfield in 2013.

Yuh-Jen Liao, O.D., earned her B.S. in Biology from the University of California San Diego, followed by her Doctor of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. After becoming an optometrist, she practiced at the Laser Vision Institute in Atlanta, where she successfully co-managed over 3,000 LASIK cases. She has provided expert eye care to patients in Bakersfield since 2001.
