Overall

I wanted to just say Alliance really did a great job handling my move. Everything went off without a hitch. I'm not one to write reviews but they just really impressed me with their dedication and professionalism. Frank handled my account and I was able to reach him whenever with questions and he was always helpful and got back to me right away. Great job!

Overall

The low price got my attention first. I had called a few places to find the best quote and Alliance was the only one willing to do a binding estimate without hidden charges like stairs or dismantling charges others had. And, their price was easily $150 lower than the others. They also had impeccable customer service, they were very attentive and courteous. The prompt service also made the entire moving experience bearable. I was able to call and speak with a sales rep easily a week after booking to ask about bringing more than I originally thought, she explained that if I went over my agreed weight then that would be the only case where I would pay more. I'm not gonna lie. Moving sucks. But alliance took most of the stress off and gave me time to handle more important matters than packing boxes. They came on time, nothing was lost or damaged. Honest movers. Nothing expensive missing. These guys were professionals. And it turned out I didn't have more enough to change my quote. Absolutely worth it.

My friend Katelynn used Alliance for her move and recommended them to us. I figured a moving company would save me the actual labor. I didn't plan for the fact that they would handle so much else. Like providing transportation, packing materials, and helping plan the move. To be honest for the money I paid I'm glad they did. The $2020 was normal considering we were moving across the country and a quote anywhere is around that price. That was my binding estimate. We packed up everything a week before the move as instructed. I sent our kids ahead of us with their grandparents and we stayed behind to make sure the movers came on time. The movers showed up around 1 p.m on the first day of our two-day pickup window. We had 5 movers including the driver who helped load. They were done within a couple hours and drove away. I drove down and three days later the truck showed up at the new place in Connecticut. A different group of movers helped us unload and we unpacked ourselves. It all seems to be here and undamaged so I couldn't be happier!

I just had to share my positive experience with Alliance. The initial booking wasn't too memorable. The sales rep and I discussed times and how many people I would need based on how much I was taking. The actual movers were what impressed me so much. I've used a different mover in the past delays and unaccounted for baggage are to be expected. But these guys arrived exactly when they said they would. There was no waiting for the truck, it was there within 5 minutes of the guys. And they were all entirely professional in matching shirts with their logo. They laid plastic over the carpeting to prevent dirt being tracked in which as an owner selling I was so grateful for. They were very careful with every box. Not just the ones that said fragile. The couch was taken apart at no extra charge because it wouldn't fit through the door as is. It turned out later that the new house had very narrow walkways, so the pre-dissembled furniture was a happy accident. I am just so grateful I had great movers who were just there every step of the way

The truck driver had to go from our home town of Ogden, Utah to sunny San Marcos, California. The drive is normally at least a day or so depending on whether or not you stop to eat and sleep. But the driver got there in just a day. The movers were really quick but they didn't break or damage a thing. Those guys are professionals. We had all the boxes packed really well and weighed so we knew we weren't passing our estimate and end up with a more expensive move. They also sent someone at a separate time to make sure before the move we were within our quote. Everything was loaded safely and delivered so quickly. I was almost worried he stuff would get there before us! They told us it could take up to a week. I didn't expect it to arrive on the first day they gave us in that window. I am forever grateful

First off, I hope I never have to move again and if you are anytime soon use movers! Even with a team behind you it's a stressful process especially across state lines. There's so much to worry about that the actual labor and effort it takes to lift a couch is just not worth it. The was rent in both places, a truck to secure, worrying about boxes, weight, plane tickets, children's schools, making sure valuables were packed properly. I just do not suggest dealing with all that by yourself. Alliance was there for me every step of the way. From planning to telling me what steps to take, providing the movers, tips, and the truck. They even told me where I could get a deal on packing stuff like boxes and tape.

Alliance is the best. I had to go from Seattle, WA to Philadelphia, PA because my office relocated and I was given about 2 months notice. The original plan was to book two separate companies in both states and make the drive over with my husband. But as we began packing I realized the amount of furniture and boxes I was using would need an extremely large truck, which I doubt either of us could handle long distance. So I did my research and called a few companies trying to find someone who wouldn't force us to a binding estimate or charge us extra in the end. By the time I called Alliance I had almost given up. But the sales representative was so friendly and walked me through every step of my move. How to accurately estimate my amount to move based on whether I plan on using storage, how many people live in the house, and the square footage. It was quite ingenious if you ask me. We agreed to a binding estimate only after I agreed it was reasonable and I was promised there would be no hidden costs. No cost for stairs of extra movers. The only up charge would be if I brought more than I admitted during the call. We agreed on an even $2600 which includes movers in both states, the truck, driver, and gas. The movers were entirely supportive and respectful of our belongings. My actual weight actually came out to 75 cents above our agreement. Which was fine by me. I couldn't have asked for more. The driver got here on the 15th as promised.

Thank you Alliance! I had absolutely no idea what I was doing. I had no idea what determined the size of the truck, or how many movers I needed. I I was also super concerned there would be a 6 week delay like some reviews claim! So I told the sales guy and he assured me the absolute maximum for delivery would be 2 weeks, because of my distance. The sales man was so helpful in walking me through the moving process. I called because I wanted a free quote, but their customer service was so great I booked them! He told me the movers would handle everything up to unloading the boxes for me. I was nervous waiting but everything got here in 10 days so she was right! So thanks again Alliance

I originally booked Alliance about a month in advance. The original deal was to have about 3 movers in both states, they would provide the truck and driver. Then I got a quality assurances call about a week before my pickup day. We found I had more than I initially intended. So she told me I would need another mover and more space in the truck. I was slightly worried it would take longer now but come moving day there was no issue. The guys were so fast and they really had a handle on what they were doing. So professional! They were all wearing matching tee's and were quiet and hardworking. I packed clothes and valuables separately and took them with me just to minimize any issues. After that it was all Alliance. Incredibly professional and quick. I saved a lot of money with them considering my final quote came to $2230.25

I want to thank Alliance for all their help with my move. I seriously just finished unpacking a couple days ago. It's been about two weeks since the truck dropped off all my boxes and I'm completely unpacked. Alliance saved me so much time and effort when it came to my move that I was able to unpack and get acquainted with my new home here in Jersey. I never thought at the end of this process I would have more money. The estimated weight turned out to be way larger than in actuality so I saved about $200. The movers really did most of the work. All I had to do was unpack. I am just so happy to have worked with them. Its rare to find a service that does everything you ask and goes above and beyond.

Alliance was my husband's idea. Considering we didn't have anyone to unload the truck with us in New Haven, I agreed. I called for a quote just to see if they would be worth the price. The $2320 was way under what I thought movers in two states and a truck would cost us. That was my binding estimate. We packed up everything a week before the move as instructed. Emptied and defrosted the fridge, unhooked every appliance, and then packed our family car with as much luggage as possible. We sent the kids ahead of us with their grandparents and we stayed behind to make sure the movers came on time and got every box in and ready to go. The movers showed up around noon on the 4th and there were four of them including the driver who helped load. They were done within a couple hours and drove away, and everyone besides the driver left in a separate car. I drove down and three days later the truck showed up at the new place in Connecticut. A different group of movers helped us unload and we chose to unpack ourselves. From what I've seen so far. It all seems to be here and undamaged.

The movers really impressed me with their professionalism. I booked my move about two months in advance which I recommend to avoid any extra charges for a rushed delivery. The movers got there on the first day of the pickup window. When you're given a pickup window you expect them to show up on the last day possible. But the team of about 4 guys showed up around noon on the first day of my window. I was ready just in case. I really was not expecting much, just a group of guys who can lift heavy boxes. Mostly because of how affordable it was. I figured you get what you pay for. But I was wrong. Alliance came through. I was assured that everything was going according to plan. They loaded the truck based on the weight of they boxes. Which they weighed individually to get an exact quote for the price per pound. The guys were quick, courteous and just all around respectful. They provided a great service, and most importantly moved everything in time. Everything was in place on time.

My movers were hands down the besst movers ever. They were laid back, knew what they were doing, worked fast, and hilarious. These guys made my move fun which was integral to how well they worked. When I booked them I thought they would have only a couple guys to help move everything because friends of mine who've hired movers in the past said there aren't many movers. But I had a team of 4 who had everything done. It was a one day pickup and they had everything loaded in about 4 hours. The estimated time for the truck to get to Philadelphia was about 14 days and the driver got there a day early.

Alliance actually had two different teams in each location to help me load and unload the truck they provided. The organization of the move was actually minimal effort. Really easy. I called first to get a quote and they told me to try to get as accurate of an estimate as possible on my amount so my quote could be more realistic. So I agreed to call back later with a more accurate estimate and she gave me tips on how to determine how much I was taking based on the size of my current house and how many people I lived with. I called aggain and my original quote of about $2200 went down to an even $2000. It really pays to have Alliance on you side. The first group of movers got to my house on the first day of our 2 day pickup window around mid-afternoon. We had a team of about 3 guys there to load not including the driver. Who still took one for the team and helped out to speed up the process. They had it packed and ready to go in a few hours. My family and I flew out a days later and only had to wait a few days for the truck to arrive. Then we had a different group of 4 to help us unload. It all went so smoothly I couldn't be happier.

I didn't expect much. But boy was I wrong. I thought moving would just require a group of people to load a truck. I didn't even consider having to load furniture and take account of weight, strapping certain things down, or packing neatly to minimize damage. But the team at Alliance was there to do all that for me. They did everything once the boxes were packed and handled the driving to New Hampshire too. I can honestly say I was expecting so much had to be done and I'm incredibly grateful Alliance was there to help fill in the gaps.

I had an issue but after speaking to quality assurances, it was solved very quickly. Other than that everything ran smoothly. I got a second call after I booked Alliance initially and sent my deposit. I told her the number of boxes I was expecting to take and a crate. She then gave me a new quote because my number was supposedly larger. But the amount I was bringing extra was not large enough to warrant an up charge of $150. But the representative explained that I was getting charged more than the initial agreement because the amount I was bringing although small, would need a larger truck. My one extra item would cause a major weight issue. Originally when I was quoted for $2020 I underestimated the number of boxes I was going to use. They gave me a slight discount on my price per pound to make up for the unforeseen cost. The extra charge only came out to an extra $75. I'm happy with how professionally and quickly they handled my problem. From that point on it was smooth sailing. The movers arrived on time and got to the Columbus in the 10 days they estimated, not including the pack up day. No damage, and nothing lost.

I really don't mind carrying or moving if I had a little help from friends. But with distance from D.C to Concord I wouldn't be able to drive a large truck that far. I never used a moving company before this so I had no idea what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised. I ended up hiring Alliance to move as well ad drive and unload, because I have no one I know in New Hampshire who could help me unload the truck. Come moving day the movers were hilarious and so helpful it was almost like moving with friends. They were careful with everything and had it all loaded and ready to go within 3 hours. Couches stacked, desks and bookcases disassembled, we were ready to go. The driver took about a week to get to the new place and a different team helped me unload. Great guys, great business

I really just want to take the time to thank Alliance for all the help.The movers really went aabove and beyond. It started with the initial sales call. I got a discount on my price per pound and then they gave me a small pickup window. An extra guy to help move my stuff. My own truck. I was moving my entire life and had quite a lot. I think I was bringing a lot more than avaerage but they made sure all the extra stuff I was bringing wasn't going to break my back or my wallet. The customer service is amazing. I couldn't have asked for more.

Right off the bat, the sales rep was funny and got me what I needed. I found out what I had to do for my move, like not buy groceries or perishables 2 weeks before the move. That I can save time with the movers by pre-disassembling anything that needs to be disassembled. Stuff like that. We agreed on a certain amount of boxes and estimated a weight and from there chose the truk size, how many movers I would need, and my estimate from there. We agreed at $2300 and my move was set for the 3rd of October with a two day pickup window. I got a call 5 days before asking if anything had changed and nothing had so we were good to go. The movers came on the second day of the pickup window which was slightly disappointing but the guys were so laid back and chill that I wasn't even bothered. They worked fast and were gentle with all my stuff. They loaded and drove and were at my new place 8 days later. Great service. Finally unpacked. Time to give my thanks.
