Dr. Sean William Mulvaney, MD

In 15 years of chronic illness and pain, I have never encountered a doctor with better bedside manner than Dr. Mulvaney nor a treatment as helpful as the stellate ganglion block he performed. After only 2 weeks, the difference in my symptoms has been life-changing. I cannot recommend this physician or treatment (if appropriate) highly enough.

My experience with Dr. Mulvaney was exceptional. The entire staff is extremely caring and professional. The SGB itself was an easy process. Dr. Mulvaney took time to explain everything and ensured comfort along the way. I immediately experienced relief from my symptoms associated with TBI/ PTSD with each injection. Dr. Mulvaney is one of the kindest people I've ever met. He genuinely cares about helping people. This is my second time receiving SGB and this time I did both sides; I thought I felt great after the first one, but the second day was so much better! I had my first SGB two years ago and it worked so well; I felt "normal". Once my symptoms returned (following another traumatic event) I decided to come back for relief. I recommend this to anyone suffering. My anxiety, panic, and nightmares were non-existent following the procedure. Dr. Mulvaney is a consumate professional, while also being a warm, engaging, down to earth, truly caring individual. He spends as much time as needed describing what he will be doing, and then describing everything he is doing during the procedure. He answered all of my questions and was very patient. His staff is friendly and efficient. The SGB procedure itself was quick, virtually painless (small stick of a tiny needle) and almost instantly effective. I felt a calmness and quiet in my mind that I have never experienced. When the left side was done on day 2, I felt my body relax completely, with no tension held anywhere. It is astounding to me. I feel like a new person, with limitless possibilities for my life, where before I was terrified, triggered, constantly on edge, and unable to connect with others. The peace that I feel now is so foreign, and will take some getting used to, but it is truly miraculous. Dr. Mulvaney is a marvel, and I would not hesitate to recommend him and SGB.

It was hard asking for help, then following through and making the trip to see Dr. Mulvaney. It's the best decision I've made in healing. He's given a part of me back, that I thought wasn't possible. Dr. Mulvaney takes the time to walk through each step, making sure you're always feeling comfortable. Can't thank him enough for being such an important part in my journey.

This is the second time I have gotten this block and it has helped me so much.

I came to see Dr. Mulvaney for knee PRP having been living with osteoarthritis of my knee for over a decade and had 5 PRP treatments previously from two other providers. At the initial consult, Dr. Mulvaney was incredibly thorough and generous with his time and expertise. In fact, we ended up spending more time talking about some low back issues I was having (a recent MRI showed spondilolysthesis, a new finding for me). He treated me with prolotherapy for that (one treatment a month for 3 months). I have only very minor issues since with my back and am very happy with the results.

Then came the knee PRP. I had two treatments about 3 months apart. My arthritis is rather extensive but I am fit and active and want to stay that way. After treatment 1, things were better, but not better enough so we did a second treatment. With more advanced arthritis, multiple treatments are often warranted. The improvement after the second treatment was significant and pronounced.

After years of meds, counseling, rehabs etc, having this procedure done is the only thing that has worked. I have had 3 SGB's done over the past two years. It's easy, fast and it works. Dr. Mulvaney works with you, explains everything and genuinely cares and wants you to get better.

Dr. Mulvaney is the only doctor who takes time with you and really makes you feel like he's rooting for your success. He is patient, informative and looks out for your best interests. He's a different breed of doctor.

Dr. Mulvaney and his staff were wonderful during my right and left side stellate ganglion nerve blocks for my PTSD. I felt a sense of peace and my anxiety along with my hypervigilance seized to exist after both of my treatments. I was finally able to get peaceful sleep both nights. I definitely felt even more at peace after my second block on my right side on my second day.

Dr. Sean Mullvaney walks you through everything. He makes you feel safe and secure during the procedure. You can depend on him to make it a painless and wonderful experience. You get to relax for about 30 minutes after the procedure and feel the effects take on. After that, look forward to manageable emotions compared to the unmanageable ones before.

Dr, Mulvaney is a truly professional surgeon with a wealth of experience and knowledge. Over several years, I had multiple procedures, treatments, and physical therapy with other doctors with little success prior to switching to Dr. Mulvaney. From the first visit with him, I felt at ease in his office as we discussed my issues. He took the time to listen attentively an come up with a treatment plan that he explained clearly to me. The outpatient surgical work he did on me was top notch and he even followed up afterwards with a couple of phone calls to check in on me and my foots progress. It's been great. It's not the easiest experience to describe. It's as if your overbearing anxiety and stress just evaporates. Like going from being in traffic, late to a meeting and unprepared, to sitting on a beach not having to be anywhere, where the only noise, internal and external, is the sound of the ocean.

The SGB Injection that Dr. Mulvaney provides is the greatest cure for Anxiety, Depression and PTSD, I have lived with all of these most of my life. Today, I received my second SGB injection and a year ago I got my first one with Dr. Mulvaney. If you are in need of something that will take the ease of tension and stress away for a year or more don't hesitate to call or look into this procedure. Since I found this now today looking back I would not even for one minute consider any medications that are out there, This does not have any side effects and only provides a better and easier life for anyone who is struggling like I was and have been. I can also say that Dr.Mulvaney provides a easy, painless, and fun experience through it all. He makes your procedure that can be nerve racking a breeze with jokes and laughs all the way through.

As an active law enforcement officer, I knew of other officers who had visited physicians that were just starting to use SGB in their PTSD care. I did my research and came upon Dr. Mulvaney's practice, and was comforted by his expertise in the practice. I could not be more happy with my decision to put the time and research into finding ROSM and Dr. Mulvaney, a qualified and outstanding physician in the administration of SGB!!
