Made In Italy

Made in Italy is the best truly authentic Italian cuisine around. As for Connor G.'s remarks regarding seating, well, you should have been there when they called your name. It is an extremely busy restaurant and if you want to dine there you need to be there!

I had heard that the food was great from a family friend. Upon arrival, my sister, her boyfriend and I had asked for a table for 3 and in response from the hostess we were told it would be a 30-45 minute wait. We mentioned that due to this, we were going to walk down the venice strip to show my sisters boyfriend the town, being that we had up to 45 minutes of waiting time. The Hostess mentioned no issue with this but upon our return we were told our name had been crossed off the list. She still sat us at a table to which we were removed after 2 minutes after being told it was for someone else. she said she was bringing us to another table though "anyways" and mentioned we were "lucky" to get another seat. I then asked why our named had been crossed off in the first place to which the response from the hostess was, "its my list and i can do what i want with it". I talked the owner/manager (who hardly speaks comprehensible english) about the situation. He brought me up to the hostess and i asked why she had said what she had said, and mentioned how i felt disrespected. She, in defence, pointed her pen in my face and was told the owner that she didn't, then the owner took me outside and said "there must be a misunderstanding, justa sita downa anda eat" and as he said that another waiter (assumed family) laughed at this. No culpability was taken on the owner/managers nor the hostess part. Shocked that I would be talked to in such a way after hearing good things. My wide range of colleagues, friends, as well as family who visit this part of florida will not be told good things about this place any longer. A very disappointing evening overall.
