Embracing Health

After having some issues today with a refill of a prescription today where I was told I would have to make two appointments (refill medication and then a follow up to Lab work with 2 co pays), I called back and spoke to another individual who was able to resolve my issue. I have been going here for over 2 years now. Dr. V has been the only doctor to resolve my insomnia issues that I had for the past 10 years.

I am a very high anxiety/nervous patient and Hishani and entire staff were absolutely wonderful. The staff was extremely patient and accommodating with me and my nervousness. Hishani and entire office staff are GREAT!

My review would be another star higher if the office staff was friendlier.

-Dr. V! She really is awesome and takes the time to make sure you understand everything. The problem is trying to get an appointment with her, she is normally booked at least 2 months out.
- They have a BEAUTIFUL office and waiting room. I love that it doesn't feel like you're in a doctors office. Great atmosphere.
- My experience has been mostly positive. I make my appointments first of the day and I do not wait long.
- The problem for me has been dealing with the office staff. They're either rude or incompetent. Not pleasant.
-I also had an issue with getting bloodwork done. I scheduled an appointment to have my blood drawn as they requested and when I got there I was expected to pay a copay. I declined, walked out and went right up the street to LabCorp and had it done for FREE. Ive never had a doctor that charged for bloodwork that takes 2 minutes.

Love Dr. V. I have never had to wait excessively long- 20-30 min max, which is consistent with other doctors we have previously seen. She is competent- which is excellent, as I've had multiple who were less knowledgeable than I needed them to be. I appreciate that she is willing to discuss alternative treatments, and is not quick to hand out an antibiotic for every little thing.
The office is beautiful, and if you have to wait, well the massage chairs make it not such a bad thing. :)

Top notch medical care! I honestly don't understand the negative reviews. Maybe things were different in the past? I had no problems scheduling appointments and have always been seen within 10 or so minutes of my appointment. My labs were drawn by the company I'm required to use (per my health plan) and they got the results as soon as they were available. I was told I could pick up the results for free but opted to go in and have the result reviewed in detail. They recommended some changes in my diet on other aspect of my life to address my over-all health. It really made a difference!

I Love Dr. V. However, the lady that answers the phone is down right rude and doesn't know anything about the office its seems. And I will never have lab work done there, as it takes two weeks to get the results back

I recently moved from my doctor of 25 years to Embracing Health because my doc closed his practice. I have been to this office for several visits. Each time the wait was excessive. At least 40 min in the lobby and another 30+ in the room waiting. Today I had an appointment because I have been exhausted for weeks. I took the afternoon off work. It was snowing and the traffic was slow. I was 15min late for the appt. They checked me in and informed me that I had a balance from a previous visit which I then paid. After 5 min, they called me back to the front desk and said they wouldn't see me because I was late and the doctor was backed up. I asked if she was backed up because I was late. The answer of course was no. I asked if they took an additional person in the 15min that I was late and the answer again was no. They agreed that I would still be waiting in the lobby well after they checked me in. I said I took off work and couldn't do it again for a few days. They still refused.



It isn't right that they routinely have people wait longer than an hour but don't even give a 15min grace period. They make sure they take your money before they tell you they won't see you. My previous doctor would never have done this. I never waited longer than 20 to see him. He also would squeeze me in when I was ill. I went to Patient First on 610 after my doctor refused to see me. They were great. I recommend them highly. Embracing Health is a disappointment.
