Ed is just a great guy. Absolutely zero BS and you can have complete confidence that his staff can fix whatever problem there is. In my case it was a custom mid pipe for my Jeep to clear my front drive shaft. Not only was there solution a thing of beauty, but he helped me out getting new catalytic converters at cost. Now I can finally install the front driveshaft and get to wheeling. Basically from the simplest muffler jobs to jobs that require creativity and invention, Ed is the man.

I needed a new catalytic converter for my van in order to pass smog. A friend referred me to Ed Hanson's shop, and I was very pleased with their excellent customer service and efficient repair and installation. While waiting for the work to be done, I observed that the mechanics take pride in their work and that they are appreciated and respected by the owner as well as by the customers. The job on my van was completed the same day, and everything is still running just fine. AND . . . my vehicle passed smog!

I have a funny story about going in to my friend's body shop to get a dent pulled and leaving there that night with my tail pipe dragging on the ground!! we tied it up (somewhat) just so I could get my car home. My Mom lives in Spring Valley, I grew up here so I'm familiar with a lot of the shops. I knew about Ed's muffler shop so I went by to get my dragging tail pipe fixed. He knows what he's doing. I am glad I went to get my muffler fixed right.

it was not just the advice it was the honesty..... i called at least 15 mufflers places and then i called ed hanson muffler, i did not want to call because i did not know where they were located, i i did not know the adress. but after calling i spoke with a customer service advisor name Sunny........ she was right to the point and gave me some good advice and it ended up saving me at least 400.00 dollars and a lot of headache. Ed has extensively helped Kim Adelman of Plug-In Conversions and myself work on design and testing of a catalytic converter pre-heat system to reduce emissions from plug-in conversions of the Prius. He installed a system as we envisioned, innovating to get it to work, then gathered information we needed on catalytic converters and helped us test it. Then he charged us only for parts. Everything about our relationship has been great.
