These guys were great. I would have lowered my star on promptness, but ... as the circumstances describe, it was a better end result.

First, they were having a heck of a time loosening the control arm bushings and a few other things due to rust and corrosion after a good 65,000 of this car's life were spent in Dayton effing Ohio. Salty and humid rust-beast of the rust-belt -- like a really badly failing buckle on the belt .... Mini-Detroit, white-flight and all.

ANYHOW ... Accuracy texted me to let me know that pickup would be delayed by one day which was fine because I had told them I had another car available for that additional day.

PLUS, when they looked at the right engine mount more closely (after original inspection) the cracking was surface, eliminating their original quote to replace the engine mount.

(Aside regarding surface cracking: The years after Ohio were mostly spent in Seattle (miles 65K to 100K), where it's very humid and usually temperate -- and only very mildly salty due to the ocean air (roads don't get salted in Seattle but very, very rarely)).

And the last probably 35,000 miles were spent here in Salt Lake, where it is incredibly dry and mildly salty I guess. A weird and wonderful place no doubt!

So anyhow, then the next day I went in and they were doing the final test drive, but found a leak in the right, rear brake line where they had already replaced the leaking cylinder -- but the brake line would not fit back into the new cylinder. So they overnighted the part, gave me a loaner (Honda Fit) and got it done the next day.

All coming in under budget after the engine mount not needing replacement and the right, rear cylinder being replaced.

Plus they have a cool office space and will take time to explain things.

My parents, my husband, and I all agreed that they are legit.

I will admit that I know very little about cars. I have been burned a couple times in the past because people have taken advantage of my lack of knowledge. The folks at Accuracy Auto are easily the most helpful and honest mechanics I have ever encountered. Before coming to them I had been shopping around for prices to get the timing belt changed on my Acura. I chose them based on the price and brought them my CL. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that the timing belt had already been changed by the previous owner and was not due for a long time. This saved me lots of $$$! I don't know if the other shops would have just replaced the belt but these guys did the right thing and they have a customer for life!‎
