My Cat Charlie

I'm new to the area and had an emergency with my cat during the day. I called several animal hospitals in the area and most of them said I would be charged an emergency fee and had to schedule an appointment time. I can understand the emergency fee but I had to wait to bring my pet in. I called the animal clinic and spoke to Candy, she was very understanding and told me to come right in. I was taken in right away and the doctor was there to look at Charlie. I found out Charlie was not able to urinate. Dr Fluharty and staff were very professional and took the time to explain what was going on and what options I had. Charlie had to stay in the hospital on fluids until he could urinate on his own. I was never charged an emergency fee and felt the hopspital stay was within reason. I have told friends and family about The Animal Clinic and would recommend them to everyone.

Disappointed at this Vet.. beware

Dr. Fluharty performed surgery on my dog with cancer.I had to put dog down 3 months later. I called and asked how much to euthanize him. I was given a price. I spoke with Dr. Fluharty, and he asked how much I had remaining on carecredit. I stated $90.00. He said I will do it for 90.00. I said the humane society would do it for $50.00. He stated ok, I will do it for 50.00.I said I would bring the dog right in. I said that includes the cremation? He stated no, youll have to call, have remains removed and pay for that seperately. I spent cose to $1,300 on the surgery.. and this is how it ended. I wanted to be with my dog while he was put to sleep. I couldnt.. because the Humane Society doesnt allow it. I understand that. I felt as though it was all about money.. nothing else. Now I have a puppy, and will seek another vet.

Best Vet in Pt Charlotte

Staff with two Doctors that are very friendly and compassionate to our dog Molly. Flexible hours and an option for boarding much better than others in town that we have tried.
