I am a Home Owner who does his own yard work on 2 houses that I own. I have 2 leave blowers one is an Echo hand held, the other is STIHL BR 380. First I was having problems with the Echo Blower it would not run at full throttle. I took it to Youngs Power Center and they told me it needed a new carburetor and it would cost $75. I had them fix it so I thought. The Blower was hard to start and would not run well, I took it back to them and they worked on it again. Got it back in pretty much the same condition. I finally gave up on the machine until I was going to through it out, but before I did..I decided I was going to take it apart and see if I could see the problem. I took the carburetor apart and notice that the fuel line had a crack on the back side connection to the carburetor, I was able to see the crack because I took the carburetor apart . I cut the hose about half inch, resembled everything and it works like new.

A few months later my BR 380 would not run. I took it to Youngs Power Center they told me it was a bad spark plug and they charged me $32 to fix it which was OK. The machine worked for 10 minutes and back fired and wouldn't start again. Took it back to the repair shop about 2 weeks after the plug was replaced and they told me they were swamped since it was before the season and some technicians were on vacation. A couple of weeks go by and they called me to say I needed a new carburetor and it would cost 115 dollars to repair.

I told them I didn't want them to fix it and I was going to pick it. I called and a lady answered the phone and told me it would cost $25 again because it was over the 30 day warranty. I told her that I took the machine back 2 weeks after the repair therefore I shouldn't have to pay again. After a long conversation I saw I was going nowhere and I just gave up. When I went to pick up turns out the Man who seams to be the boss didn't charge me anyway.

Again I took the machine apart cleaned the Carburetor and adjusted it and It runs like NEW.

I felt I needed to write this review not to be mean to the business owner but to warn customers like me of unnecessary charges for parts that don't need to be repaired.
