I just left Exotic Tan in Norw...

I just left Exotic Tan in Norwood. Well, for the second time today, actually. I won't be back. And if you haven't been, you shouldn't go either. It's not the salon or the cleanliness -- it's definitely spotless -- but it's the principle of the thing. You do not behave rudely to customers. I have been here a few times -- maybe 3-4 other times -- and it's kinda hit or miss for who you'll get behind the desk. Today, my Versaspa level 2 tan session didn't take. I called when I got home -- 15 minutes later. Just to be sure I wasn't just impatient, I googled Versaspa tan and how long it takes to see results. The google search results said "instantly". So, the girl who called me back when I told her about getting no tan at all said she called her manager. Manager said it takes a few hours to show up, BUT I could come back in for a re-do. I came back. Waited in the Versaspa room for a good ten minutes before asking the girls at the front desk to turn it on for me. One girl came down and checked it out and couldn't figure out why it wasn't working. So, she went back and called her manager.



This is the zero star review part.



The girl actually handed the cordless phone to me, to talk to Paul. Paul may be the manager or the owner. I don't care what he is. I've worked in the service industry in the past, and was completely appalled. Paul said the reason the machine wouldn't turn on was because I'd already tanned in it once that day. I said, yes, but I got no color. I mentioned how I'd seen stuff right away in previous visits. He definitely cut in and said that's completely impossible. He's been in the industry for 20 years. Blah, blah. Basically, calling me a liar in so many words. Like I'm trying to steal spray tans. Finally, I gave up and said fine and clicked off the cordless phone and walked out. He made no effort to be considerate or polite. I am pretty smart and know how to deal with rude management -- I leave. I could not care less about the tan showing up at this point. I'm more upset about the way it was handled. Apparently, the Versaspa machine was recently fixed, so it is certainly plausible that it was not working. Also, do you remember the part about "BUT I could come back in for a re-do"? Didn't happen.



Bottom line: I paid for a service/product. I expected to receive a desired result -- a medium shade of tan. I did not receive the product/service result I paid for, and was subjected to an obnoxious, vile, rude person (owner? manager?) named Paul. I wish more could be done to make it known how appalling this nightmare was, but this will have to suffice.



Disgusted.
