River Kwae Thai Cuisine

Food is amazing my parents have been going here since before they moved at least 17 years plus the place has changed so much the waiters and waitresses are so rude and expect a tip i will not tip you if I can't even get your attention or get a refill on my beverage this is the last time we will be going as a family or in general I will miss the food but the owner and his wife need to do something about there staff sad to say I will rate this place a 2 and I hope other people don't come and have to deal with this attitude

Yep, this food is the straight-up real deal. Consistently delicious, priced right, good service, HUGE menu. I can't say enough good things about River Kwae (yes, previously spelled "River Kwai" at their previous, dingey location). The new place is much nicer decor although it's sort of hard to find, behind Der Weinerschnitzel & next to Happy Buffet (or something like that), but is so worth the trouble. Unfortunately the shopping center they're in now seems a little bit empty, but don't let that stop you. There are other stores & restaurants open & the parking lot is well lit.



We've tried most of the Thai restaurants in the area but the tried & true favorite is River Kwae for many years. We drive past at least 3 other Thai restaurants to get here! Everything we've ever ordered is freshly prepared and wonderful. Some of our favorites are spring rolls, chicken satay, yum nua (spicy beef salad), duck salad, and their wonton soup is by far the best I've had anywhere (this is what I crave when I've got a cold). Also love their fried rice, pad Thai, spicy garlic & pepper with chicken, shrimp appetizer wrapped in wonton wrappers, all of the curry dishes.... Yum yum, it's ALL soooo good! Be adventurous & try something new :-)



The service has always been very friendly & efficient (no rude attitudes) and we've seen the same servers there for years, so they know what they're doing. They're especially busy during lunch time and work hard to get you taken care of in a short amount of time, although they won't make you feel rushed.



I think this is THE best choice for Thai food.
