A Dogs Best Friend

I brought my first dog to Dogs Best Friend twelve years ago. She was one of many pit bulls that I have owned, and had extreme dog aggression issues. Chas assured me this was a problem he could handle. Although my experience with this breed caused me to be skeptical, I decided to give it a try. Within a very short time I was a believer. Chas eventually had my dog and I to the point where she was able to lay down off lead in the center of a room filled with dogs and their owners.



Since that time I have brought all the dogs that I have owned in to Dogs Best Friend, for a total of four now. Whether for general obedience or behavioral issues, Chas always seems to get right to the point of things. His way of dog training is simple and direct with quick results. His methods are very easy for the average dog owner to develop. Additionally, they can be used to build a sound foundation for the more competitive dog owner.

Chas trains your dog to behave, rather that training the dog to do tricks, like other training places. My pup and I learned more in 3 training sessions that 8 weeks of other training. I can't wait to learn more and train my dog to be the dog my wife and I always wanted!

Our rescue doberman has major fear issues after being abused by his prior owner. Chas is helping us work through our dog's fear problems, dog aggression, and stranger aggression. After only a few lessons we can already see a tremendous difference!

Prior to being referred to A Dogs Best Friend Training, we had taken Bella to 4 other trainers for dog agression issues. The other training wasn't effective so this was our last hope. Chas worked with us first in private lessons and then guided us thru group classes with a variety of dog types and temperaments. The training has been very effective and we have even gotten to the point where Bella can be off leash around other dogs.



After our experience with Bella, we did not hesitate to take our 2 month old puppy to A Dog's Best Friend Training. The training was tailored to be just as effective with the puppy as it was with an older dog with aggression issues.

Incredible! Chas truly is THE dog whisperer! Within minutes, he had a wild, young puppy sitting calmly and happily obeying his every command. He’s patient with dog owners, who may not catch on as quickly as a puppy, and he was always willing to answer questions and help solve issues we were experiencing outside of the training sessions. His approach is practical and positive – both for the dog and the owners. Definitely worth the money and time.

My Husband and I feel very strongly that we made the right decision in enlisting the services of Dog's Best Friend. We have a 2 yr old Great Dane puppy with a baby along the way and really needed a training protocol that would reverse old habits and create good ones. We personally have a ways to go with our dog, but we are impressed with the immediate improvements she has made with the help of Chas' training techniques and instructions. We've been taking the private lessons, which have been a great way to work 1 on 1 with Chas and our dog. If we knew then what we know now, we would have worked with Dog's Best Friend from the beginning!

We brought our 5 year old Yorkie to Chas. for help with barking and following commands consistently. He uncovered the root issues and continually trains US to be better owners



We signed up for the private lessons and the group lessons.



The private lessons gave us the foundation but the group lessons are really where

the rubber meets the road. Get into a room with 5 other dogs and you get an effective, real world training environment. It's almost like speed-training because what our dog grasped in one group lesson woud have taken a month with out them.



The homework assigned is invaluable and worth every moment you put into it.



Unlike any mushy training we've tried before.

This training technique is amazing. Chas breaks down dog training into very simple easy to follow steps. After just a few lessons even our mailman commented on how well our German Shorthaired Pointer walks on a leash. Not only is our dog being trained but Chas is teaching us things about dog we never thought of before. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!! Highly recommened!!!

We signed up for a sample package because cookie cut dog training classes were not addressing the training we were looking for. Our dog loves people, but did not like other dogs. In the 2 sample lessons, our dog's behavior changed drastically due to the techniques Chas introduced to us. We were so excited by the change in our dog's behavior; we signed up for 2 private lessons and are looking forward to more work in group sessions. Chas's approach is very positive and is flexible when it comes to scheduling. His group sessions are of mixed ability levels for dogs and owners, allowing owners to see where the training is headed, instilling confidence in the training methods.

Dog's Best Friend is the best!! If you want your dog to be a well behaved dog, you have come to the right place! Chas works with you and the dog to train both of you why his training technique works, and it works! I have the proof. My dog was aggressive, and after Chas's program, I have the nicest dog you will ever meet!

Chas does an excellent job walking people through the process of training a dog, both basic and advanced. Our dog has shown tremendous improvement with the 5 private lessons. We're about to try some of the group training. Scheduling is very flexible. We highly recommend him!

I would have to say I searched and searched places to take my Great Dane for some training. Most of the places that I did take him to were basically a huge waste of my time. I really don't believe in clicker training or training with constantly giving treats to a dog, I was looking for a place where my dog would actually listen to my commands. Dogs Best Friend is the place.



In the first session I was impressed. My dog was listening and following Chas's experienced direction. I was taught properly how to train my dog and to practice, practice, practice with him. I have 2 lessons down already and my dog now finally listens to my commands. He still has work to do, and I still have work to do to. But I am completely confident knowing that I have an experienced trainer to help assist me in training my dog, I will have that properly trained dog.

We rescued a dachshund almost 4 years ago. Upon rescuing him he was supposed to be dog-aggressive...progressively our dachshund became aggressive toward everything and everyone. We were afraid to have guests because our dog was so unpredictable, even walking him through the neighborhood was an unpleasant experience. We attended local obedience training for 6 weeks with no results.

This year we decided to expand our family. We realized that our dog's behavior and unpredictability was not going to be acceptable any longer in our home with a new baby. With our baby's due date quickly approaching (4 weeks away), were desperate for help.

Our vet gave us a brochure for Dog's Best Friend Training. After reading about the guaranteed service we decided to give it a try.

Our first training session we learned how to regain control of our dog. Chas helped us to understand how our dog had become aggressive and how our situation had gotten so out of control. In this first training session, Chas showed us what our dog was capable of. We were able to see an immediate difference in our dog and that our dog really did want to obey and please us.

During our second lesson we had the opportunity to demonstrate what we had been working on during the past week. After almost 4 years we were never able to get our dog to sit on hard surfaces. He would sit on carpet, but nowhere else. Within 15 minutes of this second session, our dog was sitting on the cold, hard concrete. Needless to say, we were amazed. He was even laying down on the concrete by the end of this session.

During the next three sessions Chas added new challenges for our dog that forced him to raise the bar. And each session our dog continued to impress us.

Our baby was born this past week, and we had lots of visitors to the house. Our family and friends all commented on our dog's new and improved behavior!
