Probably the best 4 star restaurant in the Knoxville area. Interesting menue, great bar with decent wine selection, professional waitstaff, wonderful ambience and reasonable prices. Next time you are thinking of going to By-the Tracks, The Orangery or The Grille at Highlands Row, drive a few miles to Maryville and give Foothills a try. You will be back.

Best in the area

This is the best restaurant in the entire Knoxville area. Expensive but worth every penny. Great for special occasions.

General Info
The mountains of East Tennessee helped shape an independent people who learned the value of community when the nearest city was at least a days journey away. At the center of small communities in the Appalachians and their foothills was more often than not, a mill. The mill became a place where people gathered to grind the corn won from a stubborn clay soil into meal and flour that would become the foundation of southern cuisine. Today, the Foothills Milling Company strives to be the new cornerstone of extraordinary southern dining. The mill symbolizes strength and self-sufficiency. Not only has the restaurantโ€™s image come from the foothills, but much of its food comes from the fruit of local farmers and businesses including Bentonโ€™s Bacon, Cruze Farms, Special Growers, Valley Home Farms and Vienna Coffee, a tradition that will stay with the restaurant for generations to come. Our restaurant is located in a former Studebaker and Edsel showroom in downtown Maryville. The mountains of East Tennessee helped shape an independent people who learned the value of community when the nearest city was at least a days journey away.
