The Kentucky FAIR Plan is composed of all insurance companies authorized to write property and casualty insurance in the state of Kentucky. The Plan is authorized and operates pursuant to KRS Chapter 304 Subtitle 35 with the approval of the Commissioner of Insurance. It is designed to provide basic property and casualty insurance for worthy applicants who are unable to secure coverage in the voluntary market. Every resident producer licensed to write property and casualty insurance in Kentucky is authorized to submit applications to the FAIR plan even though no contractual relationship exists with the producer. It is our goal that this web site will provide producer guidance in obtaining insurance through the Plan on behalf of its clientele when they are unable to obtain coverage on properties in their authorized companies.
