Primary Care
Insomnia is a disruption of normal sleep related to physical and mental causes. According to a random survey of primary care patients, more than 50% reported having symptoms of insomnia, but only 1/3 of the patients reported insomnia symptoms to their doctor. Each case of insomnia is different and must be evaluated with care for correct treatment of each individual.

Family Practice
Thomas Hayth was born and raised in the Las Cruces area. His medical training began by becoming a Respiratory Therapist at Dona Ana Community College in 1995. He went to New Mexico State University to become a Nurse in 2013 and a Nurse Practitioner in 2018. He has 13 years' experience teaching at the collegiate level in both Respiratory Therapy and Nursing. He completed the American Academy of Sleep Medicine training program for Advanced Practice Nurses. His interest in respiratory and family medicine serve him well in the treatment of sleep disorders. Thomas began working at the Sleep Lab of Las Cruces in October 2021.

Internal Medicine
Sleep Lab of Las Cruces wants to congratulate Paul Feil M.D. on his retirement in 2022. Since 1982 he has provided internal medicine and pulmonary medicine care to the people of Las Cruces and Southern New Mexico. Since 1995 he has practice sleep medicine with great success and enjoyment. Sleep lab of Las Cruces will continue to provide specialty sleep medicine care at the same address of 2437 S. Telshor.

Neurology
Dr. Charlton is board certified in Neurology and Sleep Medicine. He is currently practicing Sleep Medicine full-time and has interests in narcolepsy and the various parasomnia disorders including REM behavior disorder.

Mental Health
Treatment and management of mental health disorders. She obtained a Doctorate of Nursing Practice in Psychiatric Mental Health. She spent the first couple years after graduation treating adolescents in an inpatient psychiatric setting before settling in at the Sleep Lab of Las Cruces to treat sleep disorders. She was trained in treatment and management of sleep disorders and completed the Advanced Practice Registered Nurses and Physician Assistants training course through the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. She continues to also work in an inpatient adult psychiatric setting and still specializes in mental health in the outpatient setting.
