Metro Towing

0 stars... used my roadside assistance. Tow company said they would be here within 90 minutes. I call an hour later to get an eta because my mechanic shop was closing and they were waiting on me to get there. I call they said he was close within a few minutes he'll be here. I called back an hour later and all they tell me it's going to be a while. I said I need an around about time because my mechanics waiting on me and they said I don't know it'll be awhile, at least 40 minutes at least... mind you it's already been over 2 hours. I said my windows are stuck down if the mechanic doesn't put it in the shop my car is going to be stuck outside unsecured all night with the windows down and he said I don't know what to tell you, you have to figure it out. They left me stranded and they are very rude. Needless to say I got it to the shop WITHOUT them. Will never recommend or use Metro towing!

Took an hour longer for a truck than what they told me originally. The customer service and dispatch was abysmal. Avoid this outfit at all costs! Talk about making a bad day worse by relying on Metro!

USAA called them for Roadside assistance for me today at 415 they said they would be there at 515. No show by 540. Called USAA back they were told by Metro that they had an accident they had to go to an would be there in half an hour. 630 still no tow, called USAA back. They again called Metro. Who this time said they were in traffic on Buckman. Son coming North on Buckman at this time, no comments gest ion. Came right through and did not see a Metro towing truck.... 659 still no truck cancelled request through USAA. At 848 a driver from Metro called my cell.and asked where I was.... I said home... why...he said I am looking for you and your car. I said well I have already been towed at 710 by another tow company, you guys never showed. He said. It wasn't me. My dispatcher just sent me the call..... at 848...YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME OVER 4 HOURS AFTER I FIRST CALLED USAA AND THEY REQUESTED A TOW THE STUPID DISPATCHER SENDS A CALL.DAMN..where is the ZERO STARS FOR STUPID

My insurance company called this towing company when my car broke down. I was given a ETA 45 minutes. Well, 45 minutes later when they didn't arrive, I call and was told another 30 minutes. 30 minutes later, another call saying an additional 30 minutes.

�������������������� I waited 2 1/2 hrs past the scheduled arrival time. They had so many excuses when my insurance company called them. They finally told my agent that they didn't know when a wrecker would be able to reach me. I had the insurance company cancel them and called another company. Out of the blue Metro's driver shows up. Buddy gets out of the truck and asks me where the hooks are on my vehicle to hook the car in. Isn't it your job to know that? Then he tells me that I can drive the car on to the bed myself. I finally tell him that they had been cancelled. He asks, "why didn't you tell me that when I pulled up?" Isn't that your dispatcher's job to keep you abreast of changes? He left! I'll gladly wait an additional DAY for another towing company before I call them again. Please do the world a favor and go out of business!!!

This is the worst towing company in the state of Flordia. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. I have been waiting about three hours for them to show. I called my insurance and cancelled the request. Highly pissed! My rate is they need to go out of business!

Their customer service at the dispatch office was horrible.

All the driver and dispatch office did was point fingers at each other blaming each other for why service was late. Driver got called to a accident so he said and didn't bother to call dispatch and tell them so they could send out another truck nor did they ever call us giving us a update. When my husband asked him a question he got rude and defensive with him. Today's high was 93 and we have been waiting for over 4 hours( service STILL hasn't come as I writ this and we called our insurance company at 1245...it's 445 now). My husband and I both lost time from work. My sitter had to keep the kids longer than usual. We are sitting here with 10% battery on his phone and 35% on mine with all the calls we have made to insurance and towing company.

What's disappointing is there is no option for "0" stars! This is the worst tow truck company in Jacksonville. 2 times I had to use them in 36 hours and the experience got worse each time. Hold times are ridiculous and they don't even have the decancy to call and update you if they'll be arriving late or not at all. Never had that happen. Then I was given a price and when I called to ask about the discrepancy, Dustin told me we can't argue with the computer even after the original price quoted matched the mileage! They were so awful I called AAA, filed a grievance and told them to put a note in my file to not ever send them to me again.

Metro Towing is THE worst towing company in Jacksonville, Fl. The service was lack luster and the receptionist was very unprofessional. If I could give negative stars I would happily give -2 stars. If you ever find yourself being refered to to them, RUN!

This is the company that was used for my Hyundai Roadside Assistance. I was pretty skeptical about using them from reading the reviews below and almost told customer service to send another company because of this. But, I was too aggravated at the time to deal with it anymore, so I gave it a shot. James was my driver and he was great. Yes, a little later than the ETA (by like 30-45 minutes). But he kept in contact with me through everything, which I appreciated. He was quick upon arrival and super friendly during the drive and delivery process. Would use again in the future if I had to deal with this again.

If I could give this towing company a zero that's what they would receive. Metro Towing is awful, disrespectful and do not care about people's cars., I was in need of help one evening and it took them 3 hours that's right 3 hours and they did not have a flatbed that I requested. During the towing of my car they damaged it and yet to pay. Stay far away from this company they should not be allowed to still be in business. Awful, disrespectful and non caring. #1 rating is too good for this business, zero is it.

By far the worst towing company around. They sent the wrong type of tow truck, told me they were sending a flat bed and then an hour later when I called back to check they said the order was canceled and my car needing being broken down wasn't their problem. Terrible service!

I wish I could say my experience with Metro Towing was better than most of the reviews here. I mean, I COULD say that, but it would be a terrible lie. Worst towing company ever. I sat on the Buckman Bridge late at night until the early morning for FOUR hours waiting for a driver to show, and each time I called them I got a different story/excuse from them. I'm a reasonable, patient person, and I realize that these things often take time, but that was entirely unacceptable. Call someone else. Anyone else. Trust me (and the other reviewers here): These guys just don't care...

Yesterday my husband and I broke down in Jacksonville, Florida. We of course had to be towed.

We had the pleasure of meeting Fred, our driver. He was very professional, and at the same time, had a great personality. He took a lot of time not to damage poor old Betsy, and we sure appreciate him. He really did go above and beyond. Thanks again, Fred. Merry Christmas!

The worst and most unreliable tow company in Jacksonville. Said they would be there by 10:45---no show. I called and they said 20 minutes--no show. I called back , on their way. show. Then they wouldn't even talk to me. Finally got someone to talk, they said driver had to go work an accident. Driver gets there after 1 pm and I asked about the accident he worked. He replied "what accident?" I was caught in a little traffic. These people are flat out liars. I'd give negative stars if I could.

Stay away from this company. They were dispatched at 4:17pm with an estimated arrival within 60 minutes. At 5:17pm I call to check on the status as they had not arrived. I call and give my info to the rep who answered and was advised that they couldn't reach the driver and that someone would contact me. After 20 minutes I call back since I never heard from anyone and told the driver is less than 10 minutes always. 30 minutes later I call back as I still wait stranded with my vehicle and they again reach out to the driver. While on hold the driver calls to say he is 5 minutes away. Almost 2 hours waiting for a tow and 3 missed promises of a return call to provide an update. Worst ever. Stay far away from this company!

Avoid Metro Towing. This is a horrible service.
They show up super late (over an hour) and are rude as can be. I've never been so angry with a company. Beware!!! Shop around!

from the minute I called AAA till the time the driver showed up at my door was less than 30 minutes. the dispatcher, nick, and the driver, henry, was polite, courteous and professional. after reading all the reviews on here I find it hard to believe this is the same company. people who need a tow truck are usually in a bad mood anyways, so maybe that explains their bad attitude. but these guys were beyond courteous and professional. I would recommend this company to anyone in need of a tow company. but also keep in mind, sometimes tow companies do get busy. Jacksonville, after all, is the largest city in America, land wise. it takes a while to get around this city. so no company can be perfect in this particular business. but after dealing with them, I can positively say they are a professional, courteous company, from the beginning of the call, (dispatcher), all the way down the chain to the driver arriving in a prompt and timely fashion. great company to do business with. 5 stars all the way!!!!!
