Coastal Veterinary Hospital & Pet Resort

I've been taking my pets to Coastal for years and have had very good experiences. I have even taken my dog in without an appointment and Dr. Bissell stayed way past office hours to treat an abscess on his paw. They are kind, true animal lovers and while I'm the pickiest thing on earth about a vet for my babies, I have been extremely happy at Coastal.

it took 2 and 1/2 hours to complete an annual physical/shots and possible intestional infection exam and there were no emergency care situations that occurred during that time that interrupted my cat's needs.( * plus my appt. was 20 mins. behind when they called me in) vet tech allowed my cat to get her foot hurt by getting it caught in a grate (while in the back of the house) then tried to cover it up and out in out lied to me about it but after a series of questions on my part another tech informed me of the accident! (while i heard my cat howling he did not scratch or bite the incompetent tech responsible for the incident) missinformation was given to dr.,by the tech and thus ,confusion occured about was treatment options and tests were needed. dr. seemed rushed and not focused on my cat's health. i had more face to face time with the "crappy"tech than i had with the vet herself! (FYI: dr. also did not even know of any animal charity organizations in the area although she has been here 5 years!) after an estimate cost of $175.00 during check out the final cost was $280.00!!! the only bright thing about this vet practice was the front office staff...they were the only ones who apologized for the lenght of time it took and for the painful paw accident!!!! do not...i repeat do not take your pet to this hospital!!!!! beware!
