Moving On Up Inc.

I love Moving on up. I moved across the city recently and used Moving on up. Euell came to my house to assess beforehand and gave me a written estimate which was very reasonable. On the day of the move, two strong boys showed up early and proceeded to work their butts off, moving my 3 bedroom home into a new 3 bedroom home in about 5 hours flat. They were awesome, friendly and professional. The final cost was significantly less than the estimate (I ended up tipping the difference......they earned it) and not one scratch on any of my things. I recommend Moving on up to anyone moving.

I found reviews for Moving On Up on the net after I had a horrible experience with a different moving company. I needed a headboard moved into my room and I couldn't do it myself so I gave these guys a call. They fit me in as soon as they could, being it was a busy weekend and all.



Come moving day they had that headboard in the house in less than 15 minutes. The guys were very polite and friendly and treated my stuff with great care. I will give these guys a call again for any more of my moving needs!

So from the first time I called this company about my move I specifically asked for weight tickets since it is required by the military for any kind of reimbursement. They gave me all this crap saying they are military friendly... yeah right! Then when they got to the house I reminded them AGAIN which came to a surprise to the movers bc it wasnt written down on the ticket. Needless to say they NEVER got me weight tickets and when I called to ask a few times they never called me back! P.s. they gave me one price over the phone and the actual cost was double!!!! So definitly the worst experience ever with moving

This company doesn't deserve one star. I had the worse experience and I would encourage anyone to reconsider before hiring them for a long distance move. I moved from North Carolina to Ft. Lauderdale Florida because of my job and I called quite a few company's before I decided on Moving on Up based on a referral from a search engine and they also had the most competitive price. I had already started to work in Florida before my scheduled move so I purchased a round trip ticket to North Carolina a week before my moving date. The week of my move Anthony, an agent from the company, called and asked if I wanted to move earlier than scheduled and I informed Anthony that I wanted to keep the date because I had purchased a flight and had taken off work to meet them at the arranged time. I asked him if there was a problem and he said no that they were just in the area and wanted to see if they could pick up earlier because that's how they make more money***BIG RED FLAG!!!! I flew back to North Carolina on a Friday to meet the movers the following day. Upon my arrival in North Carolina, I received a voicemail from this company telling me that the truck broke down so immediately I called back and spoke to Anthony again and expressed that I really needed them to make good on the promise they made to move the next day. Anthony told me that he would call me back but he didn't so I called back and asked for him and he had left for the day. At this point I was livid! I asked to speak to the manager, Tom, who was just as unprofessional as his employee. He was not sympathetic or apologetic and basically told me that he could refund my money for the deposit and couldn't guarantee a pickup on Monday or Tuesday of the next week. This company is not reliable!!! ****BUYER BEWARE****
