Unfortunately, there is no cure for CMT. CMT, it is not considered fatal and is helped by physical and occupational therapy, braces and orthopedic devices, and sometimes orthopedic surgery. Maybe. Kane Hall Barry evaluates each patients needs to determine the best treatment option. We do prescribe Botox as a treatment but there are many factors to consider to determine if it’s best for you.

Notable among these are oral Dimethyl fumarate (Tecfidera®), injected Beta interferons (such as Avonex® and Plegridy®), infused Natalizumab (Tysabri®) and Alemtuzumab (Lemtrada®). Kane Hall Barry also infuses high dose corticosteroids for treating MS attacks. Physical therapy and counseling are also important tools for managing MS.
