Techs were straightforward, professional and knowledgeable. They took their time and were thorough. Did not try to sell us something we did not need. Clearly explained things and the services offered made sense based upon the problem at hand. After a prior negative experience with another plumbing outfit, it was refreshing to feel like we were being treated honestly.

Only downside was the expense...seemed a bit high. Still, overall a positive experience due to how we were treated by the techs.

Great to work with, you always know you're getting solid expertise and good service. Brian M has covered my A/C review several times as part of the annual Comfort Protection Plan review, and when there are issues he always provides several alternatives, well explained, and covering various price points. You can always count on the T&G team being experts in their field.

The one thing you can always count on with Thornton and Grooms is that they always have very qualified and respectable technicians that are never pushy. The technician I had out today was all of those things, on time, worked quickly, was very professional, friendly. Would defenitely recommend!

We called Thornton & Grooms Plumbing and they were able to come and do the plumbing service the same day, in fact within a matter of an hour. We were very pleased with the quality of work and knowledge that Mike F showed, we are very thankful for all his hard work. We are a customer for life.

Thornton & Grooms have been servicing us for many years, always very honest, and service is quick and very efficient. Mark W was out on Sat afternoon for no heat problem, checked unit out and had us heat in about 15 miniutes, replaced the bad part at a very reasonable price. Thanks again Mark W.

I feel that Thornton & Grooms provideed professional service as we were visited by Nate, then John and finally Ethan who all offered advice on our options/costs to solve problems with our hot water tank. Our problem was repaired in a professional manner, I wouldn't hesitate to call them again, and I would highly recommend them to my friends.

Too Late, We Got Your Money…

Gas valve handle on our fire place was sticking out too far, thought I needed to move the gas line so called Thornton & Grooms and explained I probably needed a gas line moved. Tech came out, told him I thought I needed a gas line moved. He quoted $330+ to "do the work", screwed in the collar for the handle but did not open or move any gas line, was done in less than 10 minutes and left.

The tech "forgot" to tell me that all he was going to do for $330 was turn a collar a few times because then I would have just paid him the service call and done it myself.

What’s particularly frustrating is that the tech’s service report shows what he did, and it took 2 calls to the office before they even looked at the report.

Then their response to me was that it was "too late".

I have run into bad techs in the past but their company’s management has always made it right.

Thornton & Grooms seems to know they have dishonest techs and they take advantage of it.

I would strongly recommend everyone AGAINST USING Thornton & Grooms.

Very good service, rates are a little high but I feel they do a good job. I have the yearly service and will try again for another year.

They are VERY prompt and responsive when there is a need.

I would definately recomend. EVERY serviceman has been great.

I have used T&G for several years. They are incredibly organized when it comes to scheduling appointments, advising you of the technicians arrival and follow up. Andy did a great job today. He was very competent, has a positive attitude,and finished the furnace tune up in a timely manner. T&G must have a exceptional training program for its employees.

The folks at T & G are phenominal! We began using them about 25 years ago and have NEVER been disappointed. The technicians are incredible. ..they are always

clean and tidy, respectful, and GREAT at what they do. Ted Peterson was here today to replace a motor, and worked quickly..explained in detail what happened, how he was going to fix it, and he did so expertly! He also carefully explained the benefits of the yearly plan, and we signed up right away. He was terrific! I do not find their prices out of line, considering the services they provide. I'm sold on them! These guys are the cream of the crop...don't try and save $5.00 with some unknown compay. Call Thornton and Grooms. ONLY!

I had a pre-scheduled "tune-up" and my A/C just happened to go out this past weekend. Obviously a bit more extra work than was anticipated....Glenn didn't skip a beat....he got right into my A/C system and root caused. He was incredibly knowledgeable, courtious, and patient. He communicated to me every step and provided an explanation of all of my options. He also communicated with his home office to get me on their schedule ASAP. He was also sensitive to my household needs (have children) and made sure to do what he could to get us by until a permanent fix (new A/C unit) was in place. He also took the time to explain preventative maintenance and care techniques for my furnace. I recommend Glenn to anyone that needs HVAC service. I have also used Thornton and Grooms for Plumbing....consistently great service.

The A/C check was throual, and a good cleaning of the compressor was done. Every thing was clean and put back when he left.

Preventative maintenance was thoroughly done. Tech was professional and gave helpful hints for keeping equipment in good order.

Expensive but does a very thorough job and always provide options with different pricing. Because they take so much time with each customer they often come later than expected for an appointment (within range, but often at the end of the range).

John Meade, a very professional master plumber, came out to my home and cleared a clog in my main sewer line. It was a difficult clog and he worked until he was satisfied it was clear. John then called an associate, also a master plumber, who did a video inspection to reveal why I had this problem. John's associate, Jim Mort, then explained why the clog occurred, and proposed three options to prevent the problem from recurring. The proposals ranged from a cleaning and herbicide treatment for about $1000 to a guaranteed permanent repair costing $4000. My total charge for the cleaning service and the video inspection was $99 about 1/3 what a competitor quoted to just clear the clog. My $99 bought a prompt solution to my drain problem and the quotation for cleaning and repair services were presented without any pressure, to inform me how I might prevent a much larger more costly repair if the situation is neglected.

I called two other businesses before settling on Thorton & Grooms. The dispatch person, Dean, was every bit as professional as the service people he sent. This is a wonderful honest company you can trust if you have a plumbing emergency.

Rob and Andy showed up on time both days and left my house cleaner than when they arrived. Every question I asked was answered and I was treated with respect. I couldn't be happier with the service provided.

Mark arrived for a scheduled furnace tuneup at our home. He was polite, neat, very well informed and also provided information on what he was doing and why he was doing it. I asked Mark questions on furnace specifics, upgrades and changes. Every step of the way he answered any and all questions, Mark would take the time to provide thoughtful answers. I never got the impression that the time spent was because Mark had to do it. I felt that he was concerned about my furnace information needs. I would not hesitate to use Mark again. I have used Thornton & Grooms for plumbing heating and a/c needs and will continue to do so in the future based on the quality of their representatives and the work done.
