Mid Flordia Dermatology Associates

My initial visit to this office was GREAT ! The surgeon, the office staff, the tech, and nurse were wonderful. Today was a different story, although the office staff was great as always, very friendly and accommodating their systems proved to be very challenging. My appointment was scheduled for 8:30, I signed in at 8:25. At 9:35 I asked when I would be seen, I was told I would have to wait for at least another hour, they were having issues due to their new data entry process. Needless to say I requested to re-schedule, however due to their slow system issues, I could not re-schedule at their office either. The waiting room was filled almost to capacity with patients, mostly elderly, that would be waiting for over an hour past their appointment time. I consider this situation to be totally disrespectful of the patients; Possibly in the future this office could approach those waiting for an extended period of time if they would like to reschedule; I know if I did not come in for my appointment as scheduled, I would have been "fined", what is my recourse for the office not keeping their appointment with me? This unfortunate situation could have been dismissed if a bit more thought was put into scheduling of staff and patients. I will continue to go to Associates in Dermatology, but most likely not this office; I have been to the Celebration and Dr. Phillips office and have not had any challenges such as this.
