Absolutely Fabulous. From the first contact to the completion and set up of our clock in its new home. Michael is a true professional, dedicated to his craft and so knowledgeable and willing to share information. He made sure that we clearly understood how to care for our clock. His website is so complete - if we forget what we need to do - it's all there - and of course we can always call on him. He made the extra effort of moving the clock on a day he typically does not schedule for moves. After receiving my families Herschede Hall Clock I immediately made a wrong decision on who to have restore it. Without getting into it, it was a bad situation and a waste of time and $$. This drove me to re-search and i found Michael's website. I called and spoke with him and after speaking with him, it was apparent he was the right expert to entrust this project with. He is so knowledgeable and educated, it immediately is comforting. I made the trip from the Detroit area to leave the clock with him. Mike was extremely informative and easy to understand from the beginning on exactly what would be done as well as what may or not be done based on what he found upon getting into it. As it was a full restoration it would be costly, but he assured me that the process he went through as well as that of the artisan/expert used for the face refinishing would be considerable and meticulous.

It also would take a while for him to even start on it, but this was not a problem. He made me aware of when he would begin approximately and how long he would want to test it before finishing. All told it was a year. He let me know when he started it by giving me a call and then reminding of what his process would be. He informed me when it was finished and on the testing rack as well as how long i could expect for it to take. When I picked it up, he spent an hour going through everything I would need to know when taking it home.

Setup was simple and VERY pleasurable. The clock is Sublime.

I can't thank him enough. He is the best and the one you want to work on your special clock. I look forward to sitting, staring, and listening for a long time!

After months of searching for a quality, reasonably priced grandfather clock, I came upon Michael's website and contacted him. He was extremely knowledgeable and provided me all of the pros and cons of my choice, not trying to promote his inventory at the expense of accuracy. Since I live in northern CA, shipping was a significant issue but he did a wonderful job of prepping the clock so that it arrived in pristine condition. It was a pleasure to deal with a master of their craft.

I searched the internet for help after six months of the clock being in a shop and excuse after excuse as to why it wasn't working. I found Mike's site and read everything, then drove over an hour to his shop, showed him the clock and told the story. He said it would be working in 4-8 weeks with a 2-yr guarantee. Four weeks later I drove back to pick it up, and it works great. Lesson learned - you need a certified clock repairer. I wasted a lot of money on the first try. Save yourself grief and money and go to Mike first.

I was very impressed with Michael's knowledge and expertise. He was on time and very reasonably priced. I was glad he made a house call on my grandfather clock. It is working great!

He explained all details of the problem, the minimal repair to get it running, as well as what he could do to give me a complete refurbishing, although he thought is wasn't absolutely necessary. I respected his honesty and skills. He did a fine job. His price was fair for the level of skill and expertise he has. I recommend his without reservation.

I could not be happier. From the time I called to the successful completion of my house call I was put at ease and made to feel that my business was truly appreciated. Mike arrived on time and got right to work. Within a half hour he had restored my grandparent's grandfather clock to working order. This clock had sat in my mother's house, in non working order for close to 30 years. When the work was done Mike thoroughly explained the clocks functioning and everything I needed to know to keep it running. The cost of the service call was most reasonable, in fact the cost was far less than I had anticipated.
