Ok, I came to the location on Beltline to get my nose pierced about 2 years ago, when I got there I was before a group of girls that came in and I was next, but the bald chic w/ the accent that works there took the others before me, I didnt say anything b/c I wasn't in that much of a rush, so I got my nose pierced w/ the diamond stud, a few days later the diamond fell out and it kept falling, out which wasn't their fault so I was ok w/ that, but I eventually took it out b/c of a new job...anywho...then I went back to get my tounge pierced...same thing happened, that chic took people before me, so the black guy that was working there kinda stood up for me and let her know I was next, so when I went back to get my piercing she had a MAD NASTY ATTITUDE!! I was like WTF? I didn't do anything to her to have her being a witch to me, well I had my piercing, went home and it was all good, and about a year later I took it out over night and the dang thing closed up in 1day (once again, not their fault)...so just a few days ago I went to their new location on Broad River Rd to get a piercing and the chic there was pretty nice, and very quick, I was prob in and out in under 10 minutes. But overall it was good...I have been cleaning my piercing 3 times a day like the after care paper says and I have had it in 5 days (it was a cartiladge piercing) but it is still a little swollen and hurts still, IDK if that's normal or not but I'm just hoping it goes away b/c I have heard lots of people say that ur cartiladge can get infected very easily. But all in all their services are good...customer service skill could use a little work though. :)

It was a very pleasant experience and the people were very friendly and knew what they were doing. I would recommend my friends anytime. I will by back..

I would not recommend this place. The commercials drove me there for a nose piercing. I went in and was handed some papers to sign. I was then rushed straight to a room where a young guy peiercied my nose and set a surgical steel stud in it. I was not told prior to getting the piercing that they were out of the cleaning fluid. So, there I was, stading at the desk, waiting for him to bring it out when he said, "Oh, we're out of H2Ocean. Just go to a grocery store and get some sea salt and mix it with water-any grocery store and get it. It don't cost that much." So there I was, in Columbia at nearly nine at night, not knowing where the nearest Walmart was and riding around town looking for a grocery store on that side of town that was actually open." On top of that, two days after I got my piercing, I noticed that my stud was actually falling through the hole! So, I called them and told them what was happening and they nonchalantly told me to just come back in and get the jewelry readjusted. Frustrated, I just took the piercing out and I am now using Mederma scar cream to get rid of the mark. I plan to get my nostril repierced, but I assure you I will not be going back to Knotty Headz. My whole experience was with inexperienced people who did not even go over the cleaning directions for my piercing with me. They told me to read my sheet and turned me out into the street! Definitely unprofessional and if there was such a thing as a zero-star rating, I would give it to this shop!

Last month I got my belly button pierced at Knotty Headz. I started having problems from day 1. It was super swollen and very very painful. I went back and they were totally rude to me and said it was fine. I kept doing everything they told me to do. I thought maybe it was normal for it to be so red at first and to feel really uncomfortable. Finally, after 3 weeks of hell, I decided that having the piercing wasn't worth all the hurt, so I took it out....... I immediately saw the problem..... the jewelry they put in my belly button was RUSTED!!!!!!!!!!!! It was disgusting. I took it to my doctor and now I'm taking a bunch of antibiotics and he said I was lucky not to have gotten metal poisoning and he HOPES it doesn't leave a really bad scar. I am trying to spread the word about these people and what they did to me. Nobody in their right mind would put that piece of junk in another person's body..... AVOID KNOTTY HEADZ AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I JUST WANT TO LET THE PEOPLE OF COLUMBIA AND SURROUNDING AREAS KNOW THAT THERE IS ONLY ONE PLACE TO GET A TATTOO AND THAT IS PURPLE LOTUS, UNLESS YOU WANT A 20 DOLLAR TATTOO AND THATS ALL YOU ARE GETTING, 20 DOLLARS WORTH. FADING INK, WINDING ROAD LINES AND JUST POOR CRAFTSMANSHIP, IS WHAT YOU GET WITH A 20 DOLLAR TATTOO. I HAVE HAD SOME WORK DONE BY KNOTTY HEADZ AND I WAS TREATED RUDLY WHEN I WALLED IN AND WAS TOLD THAT IF IT ISNT ON THE WAY YOU CANT GET IT AND WE ONLY DO BLACK. ANYONE CAN TAKE A PICTURE OFF THE WALL AND TRACE IT AND PUT IT ON SOMEONES BODY. I AM NOW HAVING TO GO BACK AND RESPEND THE ONLY TO GET THE TATTOOS FIXED THAT I ALREADY PAID FOR. SO TAKE IT FROM SOMEONE THAT HAS WENT THUR THIS DONT GO ANYWHERE THAT HAS A DIFFERENT NAME THAN PURPLE LOTUS. HAVE A GREAT DAY.
