Alex is a great tattoo artist. Very professional and great environment. I went in and got the exact tattoo I wanted. My friend also got a piercing. It's a great place to go.

Let me just say the guys are nice. Other than that. No. Beware. First off they didn't ask me for ID. Said I didn't need to fill out paperwork. That should have been a red flag but I was blinded by hope and excitement. I got an anchor on each thumb. I liked them at first but now that the swelling has gone down I see they are awful. One is bigger than the other. The bottom of the anchors are shaped differently. He didn't complete his lines. I have blown out ropes because he dug too deep. The black shading on the right the is fading and I can see the outline clear as day. Now I have to pay for them to be removed. Decker blvd location has ruined my hands.

I give this place two Stars. Because for my 16th birthday I was allowed to go get my belly button pierced. Everyone there was real nice. Even though they didn't talk that much. But A month after getting it done I realize that the peircing is crooked. And every time I turn around my peircing seems to be infected. I would not recommend going here.

Piercer was simply amazing, everything else was less than desirable

I came in on Saturday to verify pricing on the piercings I was going to get and was informed that they do 1/2 off on Tuesdays, so I decided it would be best to wait considering the amount of money I was going to be spending here and that I was buying a piercing for three other people as well. Today, Tuesday December 2nd 2014 I came in to get the piercings and was expecting to spend over $130 until all of a sudden getting my ears pierced at the gauge we discussed on Saturday totaled $95 by itself (Both ears would have been $120 or $60 a piece on a normal day). One of the owners was the one who gave me the information on Saturday, double checked what I wrote down and even made sure to write HALF OFF DAY on the note, but then today decided to say that it's incorrect and the price isn't changing and had a slight attitude about it even though I had the same sheet of paper from Saturday with her hand writing. My piercer was AMAZING and I love my Vertical Tragus, so I give you mad thanks. Unfortunately, I don't feel like I'll be bringing my business back to Knotty Headz or recommending this shop again due to the clear lack of honesty to what even management tells their clients.

Me and My friend Went to Knotty Headz to get our navels pierced today. We waited about three hours and decided it was NOT worth it. First thing we saw when we walked in was a room packed full of people who had been waiting all day. Once we filled out the papers the black dude tried to put us in line before the people who had already been waiting there for hours! The people who came in shortly behind me and my friend were told that the wait would be at least 30 mins. We waited 3 hrs and still had 4 people ahead of us. The store seems to get two people pierced in a hour. They are very slow and very rude. While waiting we got to watch the piercing lady be a jerk to her clients and their kids, get upset with a girl that thought her piercing looked wrong, and yell at a girl that was trying to record the piercing. The lady said that she didnt wanna get sued... which is pretty sketch since theres tons of videos everywhere of this process. If you know youre work is good, then theres nothing to hide. It seemed like this place had something to hide. Luckily me and my friend had plenty of time while waiting to look up reviews on this place and get our money back. I would only recommend this place if you have lots of free time and dont care about quality work.

Beware!! I had dermals under each collar bone put in by Knotty Headz on Decker. The first one went in easy and was virtually painless and while the "artist" was putting in the second one it took him 4 trys and was extremely painful and didn't feel flush to my skin (like it's supposed to). I asked him about it before I left and he insisted it was normal. A couple days later the anchor became extremely inflamed and was beginning to stick out even more. I went to their other store and had the owner look at it because I believed it wasn't set right and she also insisted it was completely normal and to just keep band aids over it. Another week went by and I was in a lot of pain, I went to Magnetism to have a second opinion and found out not only was it infected but the piercer had put it in completely wrong. Magnetism was nice enough to remove them for me for free and warned me that they had a lot of Knotty Headz customers come to them after they had screwed up several piercings. My best friend also had a jacobs ladder done there and come to find out the piercer had pierced it horizontally directly under a large vein, which was also a HUGE mistake and he had to have it removed. We both are now scarred for life and will NEVER return to any of their establishments!!! Beware you don't always get what you pay for... it's worth driving a couple blocks down the street to Magnetism!!! Where not only would it have cost us both the same price we paid at Knotty Headz but they also have a much more qualified AND experienced staff that won't screw up your piercing!!! I was amazed at how rude and disrespectful the owners were! I'm very curious if their piercers are even licensed or properly trained! Please think twice... we both wish we had!!!

Knotty Headz Tattoo has a true Tattoo Artist. I went there to have a tattoo done by Alex(who came highly recommended). He was EXCELLENT!!! I had a picture of what I wanted and he designed a tattoo for me on my left foot that was 10 times better than the picture!! Plus the facility is very sterile and clean and the staff is very courteous. If you are going to have a tattoo done it should be done by Alex at Knotty Headz!!! He doesn't create tats he creates ART! Also the prices are very reasonable. My next tattoo and any more after that will DEFINITELY be done by him!!!

So... When do you really open?

My cousin and I came here to get her ear pierced and for me to price a tattoo. We looked and saw that they opened at 11. It is now 12 and the doors are still closed. Maybe y'all should adjust y'all's times.

I've had my belly button, vch,...

I've had my belly button, vch, and tongue pierced at this location and never had any problems. Although they're not the friendliest of the bunch, they're nice enough and I'll probably be going back in a few weeks to get my nipples done. I haven't had any issues with the piercings, the after care was explained well to me and they are pretty nice about making you feel safe and comfortable. And the environment is clean. That was a must for me. I definitely recommend them for any piercings and the pricing is pretty fair too, $20... If you're looking for a decent piercing shop, I definitely recommend the Knotty Headz on Beltline.

Terrible Navel Piercing!!

The Saturday after I turned 16, I went to get my navel pierced. Everything went well before and during the piercing (though it was very painful)... But when I got home, I noticed the piercing was a little sideways. You couldn't really tell so I didn't think much about it. I continued to take care of it and clean it properly. About 9 months after I got it done, I noticed it was getting looser and one day it COMPLETELY fell out. Its healed all the way now and I plan to go ANYWHERE but Knotty Headz to get it re-done.

If you get any kind of surface type piercings (navel, eyebrow, ect. ) you always will run the risk of rejection. What that means is that your body doesn't want a foreign object there and will push it out. Basically, over time, it looks like the skin gets thinner and thinner and more bar starts showing until one day it splits. It has nothing to do with the way it was pierced necessarily or how you took care of it. I know it sucks, but it's very common with a lot of people.

Worth Every Penny!

Don’t let the appearance fool you. Excellent customer service beats elegantly decorated, rude and over priced any day. The Knotty Headz on Decker is where you meet the best of the best that TRAINED the best! My intent was to simply cover up a scar and all I had was an idea of what I wanted. My “tattician” Rich Sanders with 14+ years of experience created me a custom, inexpensive cover up, in a matter of minutes. I appreciated the fact that he listened to what “I” wanted. Not to mention I hate pain…Some people call me a cry baby… But Rich “soft touch” Sanders was very gentle. No tears were shed during my hour and thirty minute tattoo. My masterpiece is healing nicely…All I can do is smile!! I will definitely be going back for more tats in the near future.

Piercing Scare

Okay, the only reason I gave this 2 stars is b/c their shop was nice and they were friendly...Now let me tell u what happened. 6 mths ago I had my industrial pierced....I have had problems with the hole closest to my head healing and the bar was too long so it was causing a bump to develop in my back hole.....the hole closest to my ear was constantly being bumped and pulled plus it was always sore....so today I decided to go get the bar replaced with a shorter one hoping that would solve the problem. I live in Lexington so I decided to stop by this shop called "Last Rebel Tattoo and Piercing". I went in and talked with the owner Bill....when I showed him the piercing he was shocked and concerned....the hole was in the wrong spot and pierced so shallow it was in danger of being ripped out with little effort. Bill offered to fix it. He showed me the correct spot for it and I let him fix it.....My ear is much better now.....It already feels better and I had it re-pierced today! "Last Rebel" is clean and friendly with excellent pricing and skilled professionals...I also checked out the tatto art and it is smokin'. they really know what they are doing.....My advice is if you had your piercing done at "Knotty Headz" and you are having problems with it or are concerned go see Bill at "last Rebel" he is friendly and honest. He will find an answer to your problem and is willing to help fix it if he can at a fair price... He takes great pride in his work so you know he will do it right the first time.... LOVE YOU BILL and thanks for fixing my ear before it became a serious problem!!! and people stay away from "Knotty Headz"
