About BEFCOR BEFCOR, a non-profit corporation, supports local economic development in North Carolina by promoting business growth, expansion and job creation since designed as a Certified Development Company ( CDC ) by the U.S. Small Business Administration ( SBA ) in 1982. BEFCOR's core business is providing long-term, fixed-rate financing to business owners, enabling them to own instead of lease their commercial real estate and other fixed assets. More specifically, BEFCOR: Markets, underwrites and processes SBA 504 Loans for business owners purchasing owner-occupied commercial real estate and other fixed assets Closes and services all of its loans, building long-term relationships with both its borrowers and participating lenders BEFCOR's Corporate Membership, Board of Directors and Loan Committee are comprised of representatives of local lenders, government and community organizations promoting economic development and small business owners. All our partners and stakeholders understand and promote small business needs. BEFCOR's experienced staff is recognized by lenders and our customers as dedicated to serving our customers throughout the lending process, often advocating on behalf of our borrower's, which allows them to stay focused on running their businesses.
