Welcome to telehealth! We bring with us our knowledge and years of expertise in pediatrics even though telehealth is a newer way to receive care.
Primary Care
Your child should have a well child visit at the intervals listed below. We recommend that you call our office 3 months in advance to schedule an appointment with your child's primary care provider on the date that best fits your needs.

Ear Infections
Colds, upper respiratory infections, and URIs are common terms we use to describe viral illnesses that cause nasal congestion, runny nose, sneezing, sore throat, fever, and cough. The fever usually lasts for 2-3 days, and the cough with congestion and runny nose may last for 5-10 days. The typical preschool-age child may experience 6-10 colds per year. Most colds resolve on their own with rest and fluids, but some may lead to ear infection, sinus infection, asthma attack, or other complications. If you are concerned about the possibility of one of these complications, please have your child seen in our office for an evaluation.
Family Practice
She and her husband (who is a family medicine physician) have participated in local and international medical missions and they enjoy family time with their two daughters in Chapel Hill. In her free time, she enjoys staying active with pilates, camping, and playing bluegrass mandolin and classical piano.
Emergency Care
We ask you to choose only one medical home where you will seek medical care routinely. Urgent care is not enough. It is essential to see our patients for both wellness and sick care to deliver the best care possible. Seeing one provider for well care and another for sick care results in fragmented care. We don’t know which medications or conditions other providers may have diagnosed and their reasoning.

For patients who have had moderate symptoms (4 or more days of fever >100.4, body aches, weakness or who were admitted to a hospital with no ICU stay or evidence of MIS-C), an EKG and referral to a cardiologist is recommended. The athlete should not exercise until cleared by the cardiologist.

At these visits, our team monitors growth and development, addresses ongoing medical concerns, and assesses vaccine status.. At this time, we can make referrals to specialists, discuss lifestyle changes, or complete sports physicals. In short, some of the concerns we address can help prevent worsening of chronic conditions, and even prevent some sick visits!
