Bessemer City Cafe is the best keep secret ... it's a fantastic eatery!!! The food is fresh, not greasy, and seasoned just right. In my judgment it is the BEST Southern Style Home Cooked buffet in the area. The new staff is doing an outstanding job in providing good down home southern cooking from the salad bar to the desserts. The staff greet their guests with a cheerful attitude and a promise to provide lots of food choices. Chef John does a great job in providing well seasoned and evenly cooked food that is neither dried out or greasy on the buffet line. If you're not up to the buffet, they have a small daily menu selection that will satisfy most people. Please visit ... only suggestion is for them to let people see they are open with either some "all you can east buffet" flags on the road and an MUCH bigger OPEN sign so folks will not have to guess whether they are open or not. We almost drove by thinking it was dark inside and not open, but to our delight we drove down closer and saw the lights on inside and the small open sign blinking.
