Horrible management

Trying to make busy work to justify ignorant employees, they charge more than every other company for app fee, dont seem to know anything about their own properties after getting the deposit and refuse to update to a modern electronic or bank bill pay system. The house we wanted and got was supposed to be ready by Halloween... its Dec. and we are still waiting and all we here is "tenatively on the 5th"

A nightmare from Day one

I and two others rented a house from them about 6 months ago. Half the electricity in our house didn't work from the beginning,and it took 5 MONTHS and constant calling for them to finally send someone out to fix it. The electricity still doesn't work for our pool pump to this day. We are paying 1200 dollars a month for a house with a pool that we can't swim in. They avoid our calls or say they will get back to us over and over again. They are the most laziest people I've ever met in my life. It serious feels like we're being punked. We've talked to their "maintenance manager" and district manager and have pretty much hut a brick wall. It's obvious they have no intention of fixing it. So we are on the lookout for another place with a pool and a landlord that actually gives a damn about their tenants. Stay away from Abel Property at all costs.

Online Payment Option

I handle all of my mother's finances and she has lived in the same house for 33+ years. However, the rent is due on the 3rd of the month & it's VERY inconvenient to have to get a money order & deliver it in the same day. I would REALLY think offering an online or automated payment option would be SOOO much more convenient. Please consider this.

Considering the large number of homes and multi-family units Able manages for all owners throughout Bakersfield, there is probably a lot of pressure from a workload standpoint on your relatively small staff. In response to that, most of our contact with the office staff have been with a couple people. They have all gone out of their way to help in any way possible and we are truly grateful for the assistance. And although we have not done a competitive survey as far as Able’s pricing compared to other property management firms, we consider Able’s fees very reasonable. Thank you for your continued service.

They have the worst customer service most of the post being put here are from the office secreteries and the people that work for able property they have the worst customer service ever. They treat everyone like second class citizens not acceptible at all.

Able Property Management has managed my rental townhome in Bakersfield for over three years now and I have been very pleased with the level of customer support that I have received from both my property manager and all the staff. They have made being a landlord as painless as possible.

I have been with Able Property Management for a many years and have relied on them for a variety of property management needs and maintenance issues. I find them to be an extremely prompt, courteous, and cost effective solution for me being a property owner a state away from his rental units. Their range of expertise and services make them my one-stop-shop for my property management needs. Would highly recommend anyone to do business with them.

The people I’ve come in contact with are friendly and cordial. When I had an issue with a lost rent check they gave me the benefit of the doubt and worked with me to get it taken care of. I think they could tell I was quite anxious and nervous but they did their best to put my mind at ease. The missing check was found, mistakenly filed away when it shouldn’t have been. I was assured this wasn’t going to happen again and I believe them. Mistakes happen, but it’s how people react and deal with mishaps that speak volumes about their company. Glad to know Able works with me instead of against me.

Horrible! Agree with jifs2002... bunch of idiots and rude girls that don't know how to manage anything!!! Save your time and don't bother with them. All in all, a total joke.

The office staff was very helpful. They did a great job getting my apartment rented within just a few weeks. Great marketing skills!

This business states that it strives be professional, when in reality it is the complete opposite. They do not care about there renters besides that check they get every month. When I went in, they had someone entirely different listed as living in my apartment and treated my rudely. I would never recommend this business to anyone.

Properties not like their pictures!!

I was considering renting a property from this company,while my family had their dream house built and I went and had a look at the property myself...Boy was I in for a surprise!! The pictures they have posted on their website look NOTHING like what the house was on the inside! I actually asked the employees if they were going to have the property fixed and brought up to par by the date of move in and they looked at me incredulously and almost scoffingly they said 'NO'...the pool of the house was DISGUSTING the carpets were dirty and had holes in them..the garage was missing windows and the paint on parts of the house was peeling!! Also there were gates missing and the house looked abandoned!! My husband and I had to actually use our phone flashlights because there was no electricity!! I'm sorry but it is my understanding that if you are going to ask for almost $3,000 in rent for a property it needs to look like its worth it!! My family deserves to live in a nice home especially if we can afford to..And yes it's funny that they have nothing but 5 stars one right after another with no negative feedback...of course they have their OWN employees write reviews for them...at least pay for your employees to get a writing course and spell check so they don't keep misspelling the same words wrong!! Save yourself a headache and avoid dealing with this company!!
