Had taken my car there for an alignment after I removed my transmission to replace the internal pump. Got there and the woman up front was very nice. Said she would have her tech look at it. Before I left keys I explained I had the car apart the night before and personally inspected the vehicle while pulling the repair. I'm a 30 year Toyota/scion/lexus technician but I'm disabled. I dropped my car off and did my typical walk around before leaving it sone where so I don't accuse someone of damaging my car if it was already damaged. Checked inside the wheel wells as well. Received a call less than an hour later claiming they couldn't do the alignment because my driver's tie rods were bad. Now seeing I JUST HAD MY TRANSMISSION OUT AND HAD INSPECTED THE WHOLE FRONT END...I was a little surprised. I said ...ok..I go with this. "How much to replace 1 inner tie rod and 1 outer tie rod on a late 90s dodge car? After I picked my jaw up I had them repeat the OVER $500.00 ESTIMATE. Now seeing I'm a tech I know that and inner tie rod bills at 1 hr and you have to remove the outer tie rod to get to the inner tie rod but to be fair let's add a half hour billable. Now we are at 1.5 hrs billable service. Tie rods were $22.99 for outer and $31.99 for inner. So I'll be generous and say $75.00 for parts. Now $500.00 minus parts at $75.00 leave $425.00. now divide that by 1.5 hrs and I'll just rough it...$300.00 and hour. Oh and then add $80.00 for the alignment. Now I was leery to begin with because when I got there literally every technician was huddled around a very nice Nissan 370z so I knew somewhere close to uh ZERO people wanted to work on my car and that's understandable. Now's the good part.I drive it home and(I'm running out of writing space) I have grease spattered inside my wheel well from a jab hole in my cv boot. On camera I inspected everything and nothing but the boot was worn. I aligned the car BY HAND and cars been fine ever since. Will show anyone the video.
I would definitely recommend this place to anyone that needs service! Very honest good working people not out to just make a buck! Quality of work is indescribable! A++
