Autobidy places don't make me happy. I generally feel bewildered, dazzle-dazzled and functionally illiterate. Then I have to write a check, reminding me how idiotic I was to allow my car to be damaged. But last month, after my car kissed a cement pole, i took my considerably squashed car to Hartel -- with great trepidation. BUT, it was unlike any autobody shop I've ever gone to. It was a completely different experience from soup to nuts. The owners are extraordinarily pleasant, articulate, helpful and downright just great to hang out with and chat. They provided a Hertz rental car right there, for insanely low amount. They fixed my car perfectly, and returned it way cleaner than it had arrived. They were beyond helpful -- consummate small business. While I'm hopin generally I don't have to return, if in the future my car makes an ill-advised turn into a pole, My anger will be allayed by knowing that the fix experience will be smooth professional, and actually a delight.
