Dental Care
Pricing will be based on grade of teeth, meaning overall condition, and two weight categories, up to 50 pounds and over 50 pounds (50.1 pounds and up). Tooth extractions will be additional.
Vaccination
We have two ways for you to access your pet's medical history electronically. You can also use it to request an appointment, view your pet’s vaccination history and prescription details, request prescription refills, and access information about our practice!
Nutritional Counseling
Weight management —Maintaining a lean body weight has been proven to help your pet live a longer, healthier life. When pets need to lose weight, some simple factors such as measuring the food instead of allowing food to be available at all times or additional exercise is all that is needed. Dogs love to chase balls or go for walks; cats enjoy playing with toys or laser lights. For overweight or obese pets who do not lose weight with measured food or more exercise, we encourage you to consider Purina OM (Overweight Management). Parasites Treatment and Control
There was a time when parasites like fleas, ticks, and roundworms were considered mostly a nuisance. Now, however, we know that parasites can cause serious illness and even death in pets. For example, ticks can transmit infections like Lyme disease, and fleas can transmit tapeworms and Bartonella – the bacteria that causes “cat-scratch fever” in humans. Another type of parasite, called a heartworm, is transmitted by mosquitoes. Heartworms live in your pet’s lungs and heart, causing damage to these organs, and sometimes even death. Intestinal parasites, like roundworms and hookworms, also threaten pets and are even transmissible to humans.

Heart Disease Treatment
An ultrasound of the heart, or echocardiogram, is the most useful test for evaluating a heart murmur in a pet. With ultrasound, a veterinarian can look inside the heart, in the chambers, and visualize the valves. This non-surgical test can rule out or confirm a diagnosis and aid in determining the amount of leakage and the severity of an abnormality.

Periodontal Disease Treatment
Some dogs (usually small breeds) can require a dental up to every 6 months. Some dogs can go 3 to 4 years between dental cleanings. Typically, after the age of 2 or 3, most dogs and cats will need a dental every 1 to 2 years. Assessment by your veterinarian will allow you to discuss your pet’s dental health and if excessive plaque or periodontal disease requires a cleaning.

Wound and Fracture Care
We consider the use of digital radiograph technology a valuable tool in modern diagnostic procedures. Radiographs, which are commonly known as X-rays, are used to evaluate injuries and conditions which require more than external examination. Radiology equipment gives us a non-evasive way to observe your pet’s internal anatomy so that we can provide a more thorough and accurate diagnosis. Our veterinarians use radiographs to detect bone fractures, bladder stones, tumors, and soft tissue problems (those related to the heart, stomach, intestines, reproductive, and urinary systems) as well as to locate swallowed foreign objects such as toys or rocks.

Veterinary Surgery
Our surgical services include soft tissue as well as some orthopedic procedures. Some of the routine and soft tissue surgeries include spay or neuter, declaw, tumor removal, abdominal exploratory surgery to remove ingested foreign objects, mass removal, C-section, and various eye repair. Additionally, Dr. Christy Spinks and Dr. Bill Imperial are able to repair most ACL tears and MLPs (Medial Luxating Petella).
Spaying and Neutering
Canine spay and neuter procedures are priced based on three weight categories, up to 50 pounds, 50.1-110 pounds, and 110.1-150 pounds. If you wish for your pet to have a microchip implanted there will be an additional fee of $45.

Microchips have helped reunite thousands of pets with their families, whether the pet ran away or is misplaced by natural disaster. We offer the Datamars microchip to increase the chances of a safe recovery. A microchip is about the size of a grain of rice and is inserted under your pet's skin in a single simple injection, just like a vaccine. The microchip has a code that is unique to your pet, the way your social security number is unique to you. When a pet is found and scanned, the unique code can be traced back to you through your database registration at www.petlink.net, allowing you and your pet to be happily reunited.After your dog or cat is microchipped, you must register on PetLink™, www.petlink.net, a no-cost, national pet registry service that keeps contact information current, making it easier for you and your lost pet to be reunited.

Large Animal Vet
Payton grew up on a farm in Cedarville and has been around animal medicine her whole life. She showed pigs in 4-H for over 13 years and she has always wanted to be a large animal veterinarian. She enjoys working with livestock and working national livestock shows. She has earned her B.S in Science with a Minor in Business and she was just accepted to Vet School at The Ohio State University and will be starting fall 2022! Her future goals include finishing vet school in 2026, working as a large animal DVM, and eventually opening her own large animal practice.
