Still no computer back yet

Well here it is, the 14th and my computer was expected to be done on the 6th!!! What is taking them so long. They told me not to buy my extended warranty just yet because they can't guarantee if they will fix my computer or if they will declare it as a dud and give me in-store credit. Well I talked to the 800-Geek-Squad customer service people and they told me if I don't buy my warranty by the 25th or on the 25th that they will not let me purchase it because I will be out of time to purchase it. Really!!! Give me a break is this how they end up not letting customers buy another extended warranty they give you back your computer and well lets say the parts they replaced go bad within a week im out a total computer cause I was told not to buy it cause they can't guarantee that I will have the same computer or if they will give me in-store credit which he said I may get 540$ or less he wasn't for sure a far cry from the 1600$+ I got invested in it with just purchasing it. That ain't including the 200$+ I paid for a 2 year extended warranty when I first purchased it. Now I ain't gonna be able to buy the extra 2 year extended warranty because I more then likely won't have the machine back by the 25th if it's going as slow as it is already!! Will never do business with them again. I will order straight from the companies cause this is just non-sense. And o yea your keyboard or mouse can only break one time they will only honor something to be broke one time or you have to pay for it. Which for the wireless mouse and keyboard they want 279$ umm yea ok. I can buy a wireless mouse and keyboard from Walmart for under 50$ give me a break. Word of advice if you buy anything from Best Buy don't let your kids use it cause they break something more then twice you end up paying for it. Useless warranty.

Geek Squad Is Horrible

They are nice when you talk to them. My computer was estimated to be done on the 6th 4 days after dropping it off. It is now the 8th and I called the 800# and spoke with GS C.S. and they couldn't tell me anything they had the same information I had. They tried to call over there and couldn't get a hold of anyone in that dept. So I called the direct local number for the Wooster store and talked to a service rep. And they told me there was nothing wrong with my CD drive. Which there is it wont read nor write cds it just says there is no CD in the drive even if I put a music cd in store bought or a blank cd no matter the cd it wont read it or write. I tried device manager and un-installed and reinstalled all the drivers for it and that didn't work. It won't do a system restore to a earlier time either. And they told me that the only thing included in my 300$ 2 year warranty is parts and labor. It don't cover system or windows problems. Wow really why don't they state that when you buy the warranty in the first place. I would of saved my 300$+ and just have someone fix it for me. I work on computers I just only work on reformatting networking and internal issues. Not tearing it apart and fixing it. I had forgot the password for it and the lady said if we have to disable the password for you that will cost you a extra $29.99. And if we have to back your data up for you for you to have in case we have to do anything permanent to it like reformat or something that will cost you $29.99 per GB. The letter N on my keyboard don't work and I told them that and they are telling me that it is working just fine all the issues I have told them that are wrong with it they are telling me it is just fine. Well when I go pick the pc up I am starting it up and trying to copy a cd and play a cd right in front of them as well as I am going to type every key on my keyboard to prove to them that the N key don't work. What it is, is that my warranty on the computer expires in 2 weeks and they are taking there good old time with it so they don't have to fulfill my warranty. I can guarantee that is what is going on.

Good products. Poor service. ...

Good products. Poor service. I've been happy with everything I've bought from this Best Buy, but getting anyone to help you if you have questions is difficult. I've gone in twice in the last two days to buy a camcorder, but no one was available to help either time. After asking the greeter to page someone to help, I waited for 1/2 hour with no help.
