horrible,horrible place to be. ER doctor threatened to take my husbands license away if he didn't do exactly what he told him to do. Nurse up on the floor yelled at me and my family because I was sitting on the bed with my husband. She told me" to Get up, that bed isn't for you." This nurse was so ignorant and disrespectful. I would never take my dog to this hospital. I had to convince my husband to go the hospital in the first place and this is how they treat him??

While in Underwood for kidney stones, my fiance began to have chest pain. He called the nurse and she told him there was nothing they could do for chest pain because he was a urology patient. The nurse said all they could do was call the urology office and let them know. He asked what they would do if he was in cardiac trouble and dropped dead on the floor? The nurse just shrugged and sarcastically said then they “would have to call someone else”.



We (not the staff) later found out that it was acid reflux caused by one of the medications. After hours of going untreated, his esophagus was so burned that he couldn't even swallow water. A tech finally came in with an EKG machine and I commented that it took them long enough to address his chest pain and the tech, very confused, asked “He's having chest pain? This is just prep for his operation.” Operation? We never agreed to an operation and they already have him on the schedule?



I was ready to sign him out AMA when his urology doctor finally arrived. The doctor seemed puzzled as to why my fiance was scheduled for an unnecessary operation at 2pm the next day. And he had ordered that my fiance be given acid reflux medication every day but he had received only one pill since his arrival.



I wrote the administration. I'll never allow a loved one to go to Underwood again.
